Fantastic sushi! Love that it's not AYCE, it tastes fantastic. You are right on the side of the casino walkway, but if you like good people watching this is the spot for you.

We were there weekend of the Kentucky Derby 2025 and it was delicious. Seated right away. Staff was attentive but slowed when got busy. Felt like they were also waiting tables inside Roxy which was very busy. Ambiance is out in front of the Roxy restaurant and if you blink you'll miss it. Small enough that you can watch the chefs without sitting at the counter. The food and drinks were good: Martinis: delicious Sushi: The Boss, Mt Fuji and Ceviche (right to left in the photo) all fresh and delicious If back in Reno we'd go there again. Recommend!

Our favorite sushi in Reno. Freshest fish. Once you come here you can't go back to all you can eat. We love Chef Khoun. We usually just tell him what we like and he makes the most delicious creation for us. We love sitting at the bar and chat with him too.

Excellent sushi. I've eaten in a LOT of sushi restaurants and this was amongst the best. A very extensive menu, high quality, and priced quite reasonably. It's very small, so if it's a busy time of day expect a wait. But, it's worth it. Kudos for actually giving me a substantial amount of extra wasabi instead of skimping like many places do. Highly recommended!

All I can say this might be the best sushi I've ever had. Crouching tiger is the name. The place is small inside the casino so seating is first come first serve. We ended up being sat at the table instead of the bar which was ideal. It was already 1 hr before closing but the servers were not in a hurry for us to finish. We ordered 3 sets of rolls and a miso soup to share which we both loved. The sushi were gone which was a record for us since we don't really finish 3 orders of sushi rolls in one sitting.

Absolutely loved the small vibe of this place. The menu was small which was as actually perfect because you could tell they perfected every roll on the menu. Our server was so sweet. Wish I could remember her name!! Overall loved this place but minus a star for the nigiri.

I always sit on the counter as the chef is very friendly and funny. We always have a fun time with the chef and people sitting next to us on the counter. It is very friendly atmosphere here. And I love the sushi. Thick cut, small rice and fresh sashimi. Sake selection is descent. We like Kyoto sake and even took one bottle back to our room (they'll bag it up for you to take back to your room). Friendly service. I'll highly recommend to sit at the counter if you can.

Fresh, amazing and great quality sushi in the middle of Eldorado. Seriously amazing sushi with great staff.

My wife loves the sashimi platter. I must agree that the fish is fresh and it's served with real crab Cali rolls. I like the outdoor feel of the sushi bar seating here. It's right next to the Eldorado Neptune fountain and Roxy's. The sushi chefs can be engaging if you like. If you want quiet, they will conversate with other patrons. Mixture of couples and single sushi afficandos.

A hidden gem in The Row! We sat at the bar and ordered nigiri, sushi, and drinks - everything was so good! The Salmon Popper roll in particular was delicious. The martini was strong (not too strong), with just a touch of sweet. Great service - would recommend to anyone looking for a quick sushi fix!

I was especially excited to see more scallop filling on the menu! Finally something different from the usual mayo filled imitation crab! The time it was just my husband and I was so slow. We also sat down as the second table. They had a full staff and it took the longest. The food is good. I rate the roles at a 3, but note. I like simple sushi. So I tried the rolls just to try and see what they taste like. Its good if you like likes of flavor. It removes what people say is the fishy taste. I love the taste of fish. So I typically lean towards nigiri. I will amdit their sashimi salad as a 5/5. I loved it. I thought we could order 1 per round, but thats not the case. Look at the menu and its once per visit. The salmon hand roll is a 1 for me. It was not very crispy and hard to power through. So I dont recommend that, but they do a roll of it. So if you share with friends it might be worth while. The Niger I rate a 3.5/5. There was a lot of rice, but they also give a good size slice of fish. What got me was it didn't have that crisp taste when I ate it. Its hard to explain. The food quality is good. Don't get me wrong. Just the service and my simple taste buds. Its very popular and many locals love it. The lady was very sweet, when we got to speak with her. So don't let my rating and my taste buds hinder you from eating here. So give them a try.

As I sit at the bar with salmon eggs popping in my mouth, I think: life is good, but not perfect,…read moresame for Tokyo Sushi. Most times I come alone an hour before closing and get a seat at the bar almost immediately. This visit, I was astonished to find 36 people on the waitlist with only an hour left. At that late point they hand out order sheets while you're waiting, which for groups still not seated means placing a MEGA order as soon as you sit down, followed by a rushed scarfing-down session as the staff begins closing up shop. The menu is quite large with heavy overlap with the menus at most other AYCE places. Roll selection is good and popular, as I look to either side, I'm appreciative of most patrons filling up on rolls commonly made with fake Krab (same stuff in frozen fish sticks), deep-fried ingredients, and generous applications of mayo and eel or teriyaki sauce. These cost the restaurant far less than a steady stream of nigiri, effectively subsidizing the roughly $120 worth of assorted nigiri I'm about to consume for about a third of that price. To each their own. The rice was perfectly seasoned and properly cooked, the most important part of sushi, though on one previous visit it leaned a bit too sweet. The fish tasted good, and the fish-to-rice ratio is better than at most competing spots. Service attentiveness can vary but on average is typically solid with a call button you can press. The combination of a packed dining room and upbeat music makes the place LOUD and festive, with sports on two large-screen TVs that appeal to the younger Midtown crowd. The downside is that carrying on a conversation in a larger group can be challenging. The bar refrigerator sits high enough that you can't really watch the chefs work, and when combined with the noise and possibly a language barrier, forget about chatting with the sushi chef. Food-wise, it's easy to place Tokyo Sushi in Reno's top three AYCE options, though you'll pay a few dollars more than average at roughly $45 per person with tax and tip as of June 2026. Its extreme popularity, however, fills the parking lot and creates wait times capable of testing almost anyone's patience. Waiting over an hour during peak dinner service is not uncommon, and the crowded waiting area may leave you standing outside or sitting in your car. Hungry couples and groups may want to consider less busy alternatives, especially on a 90+ degree summer day or when winter "rolls" around.

It was basically a giant mountain of rice with a tiny sliver of fish hidden inside. The food could have been salvageable but the service was also bad. I was given two sushi rolls with no soy sauce plate, no chopsticks and no napkins. I had to sit there staring at my food while it sat warm on the table.
