We had a great dinner here with an ayce. The fish wasn't that big but we liked how the rice in the nigiri was small. And there wasn't any 90 minute limit. Our waiter was nice and efficient. And we got complimentary sake on a Thursday night. Where we live there is not any sushi ayce for $33. We enjoyed the scallops, unagi, maguro, salmon and hamachi nigiri's. We did not order any rolls. I devoured The salmon skin hand roll. The tempura ice cream was different. We took our time ordering. It was really a relaxed evening.

Tried about 8 AYCE Sushi places in Reno and I like this place, Ohana, and Tokyo Sushi (probably the most popular) the best. Appetizers, nigiri, and rolls here are usually a smidge behind Tokyo in variety, taste, and fish to rice ratio on the nigiri, but still very good -- definitely above average. They did dial back the amount of sugar in their rice since the last time I was here. Kudos! The dining experience here is a much more low-stress experience than Tokyo Sushi. There's usually little to no wait unless you're in a large group, as opposed to Tokyo's madhouse that has waits frequently of an hour. Music isn't blasting so you can hear the person at the other side of the table speak, and service is consistently excellent in the relatively small dining room. It's about $4 less expensive with tax and tip then Tokyo also at $42 vs $46 total as of July 2026. Punch card for every 11th AYCE free plus free beer Mondays, free sake Tue-Thur. 4.4/5 Easily in the top 4 AYCE in Reno

Got seated right away on a busy weekend because we called ahead. We still had to wait for a very long time after ordering, though. The sushi was good and did fulfill my craving. I was able to cross the place off my list to try. If you haven't been, you should try it and see for yourself.

Yesterday was our first time here. The service was really excellent. They were very kind. The sushi was good. Not the best I have ever had, but good. The restaurant is clean and I had no complaints about that.

O'A sushi is ahhmazing! First visit here and we were lucky to get right in and seated in the main dining room, as I've heard it can get quite busy. We had a late lunch so decided to just go for ala carte but wished we had done their all you can eat. We started with the calamari appetizer, cucumber salad and two orders of their potstickers. Their potstickers were the star of the show and I would go back here just to order these. Some of the best in town in my opinion! They were doughy and flavorful, still tender not too crispy and just the right size with a great potsticker slightly spicy sauce. We then ordered the Snow mountain roll, the caterpillar and rainbow. We loved the size of the rolls, not too much rice, flavorful, fresh and good. Before our order came out we were offered a sample of a new dumpling pork bun that was so good we wished we could order it; but the owner informed us it would be coming to a store next door soon - so stay tuned for a new O'A dumpling dim sum shop to open soon in the same shopping center. The service was attentive and charming and the restaurant seems very authentic - we can't wait to go back and try all you can eat and get their punch card.

I liked the smaller pieces, easier to eat. Tempura Upside Down Shrimp Nigiri Sushi was my favorite.

Service was good. Nice lady kept our waters filled and checked in often. Pieces are a little smaller. But I like that! Easier to eat! Fish was a little bland. But for AYCE it was good. We liked the black Tiger and snow mountain. One thing, the music they had on was not family friendly. Curse words playing pretty loud. Kinda funny. My kids are adults now so didn't bother me.

Me and my husband went right after the lunch special ended and it was the perfect time to go. Not too busy or crowded and the space is cool tone but relaxing. I've been here before but for the Chinese food side and never the sushi side which is very intriguing. I love their Chinese food and was not surprised when I tried their sushi. The staff are kind and quick to attend you when ordering. They also do a great job of following up on drinks and anything else you may need while you're eating/waiting. They did fail to bring some of the appetizers on our order, but the food tasted so great. We were OK with it. My husband and I loved every single roll that we tried. We had: -Mussels -cream cheese Rangoon's -miso soup -Tasty pop -OA #2 -Creamy Salmon -War -Golden Gate -Sweet bear -Paradise -Snow Mountain We did not finish all our sushi but we definitely enjoyed every bite. 10/10 highly recommend this place. It's located in the Moana shopping center near Raley's.

I'm due for an update! I'm glad I decided to return since being treated to a sushi dinner date here recently. The servers are great here and on the Chinese food side as well. I like the rolls offered on their dinner menu. The sushi chefs(guys) are hit or miss. For instance I'll order a roll as a hand roll and will come out a long roll. It's happened everytime or they'll serve us someone else's platter. So I keep track of what I order and ask what things are as they come out. I like having the option to have Chinese at the sushi half or vice versa. Bar or table seating like other sushi bars and tables are cleared off immediately. It's a plus that their restroom is clean. I only wish they would change their policy with the cards. I suggest whoever pays gets the stamps for the visit. We had friends visiting from out of town and they have no use for a stamp card at sushi here.

Oh yeah, went here with my sister's brother and man for my birthday dinner. Had a wonderful time. We actually went for lunch. I really like this sushi place. Always really fresh sushi. Great service! They're great for parties and it's super fresh sushi. I really had a wonderful time. Thank you to my family....

I absolutely LOVE this sushi spot!! The owners are so nice and welcoming ! The sushi is always fresh and tastes so amazing! The chefs are seasoned and can recommended things that you would love no problem! Small and intimate. You get what seems like personal service most of the time . All the employees are superbly attentive and friendly also!

Maggie, our server was so sweet. The hand roll and long roll combinations were all delicious. Loved the well proportioned sushi, as it allowed us to try a good variety of their offerings & there were many more. Ingredients were fresh. A great spot, especially after a day on the slopes. Thank you, O'A!

It was busy, but the staff smiled at you once you entered, they had to clean a table for us. Attentive. Sushi was surprisingly one of the better ones in Reno, but this is my personal preference... I love smaller bite sized portions... the sushi hand rolls were smaller and delicate. Fresh and good options. Casual ambience for sure, will definitely go back.

The menu didn't feel very varied--it was mostly the same types of rolls (crab mostly) with different sauces. That may just be personal preference, since I tend to like shrimp rolls (either cooked or uncooked). When we arrived, we were seated in the far right corner. There were other tables nearby, but because we were a large group, it took a while for anyone to take our drink orders. We even had two separate servers come by to ask for drinks. Once we ordered sushi, that's where things really went downhill. We were split across the tables (four people per table), and although we placed our orders at the same time, half of our group didn't receive their sushi until about 30 minutes after the other part of us. It felt like the order process wasn't managed well. Customer service was also inconsistent. We had to keep asking for items we never received, like refills, and we didn't get straws. Even though the restaurant was busy, I've been to other sushi places on busy nights and never experienced service this slow. The only thing I truly liked was the appetizers. The beef teriyaki was the best thing I had--really tasty. I'd recommend that, but only if you have a lot of time to spare, because the wait for food and follow-ups was a struggle. When we tried to order dessert, it took so long for someone to come back that a few people ended up giving up and not getting dessert at all. Overall, customer service took far too long, and the sushi was just OK--not especially flavorful or memorable for me. The rolls tasted pretty similar, and I don't think I'll be returning.

Well slap my a** and call me Betty! Haha I have been eating all-you-can-eat (AYCE) sushi in Reno…read morefor over 10 years now and this is the first place I've been able to actually taste how good the fish actually is. To be clear, this is not an AYCE sushi restaurant, and there's other offerings besides sushi including ramen, salad, steaks, and various teriyaki plates. Apparently the food is hand selected by the owner, and helped prepared by the Japanese wife in the kitchen. From what I understand, the line cooks follow traditional Japanese ways including only being able to make a sushi roll after being a line cook for 5 years. As for the food itself, these are the things I've tried: -Maguro (tuna) sashimi: absolutely delightful -Sake (salmon) nigri: really good -Unagi (Eel) sashimi: my favorite nigri, the unagi was so tender it was falling apart. Best I've ever had. -Kazo sake: the combination of all the textures and flavors made this one of my top choices. Think of eating it like a deviled egg, if you're able to fit the whole thing in your mouth, you can taste all the flavors at once. If not, it's still tasty and you can taste the pieces individually! -Mt Rose roll: the textures and flavors were really good! -Fire Ocean roll: Absolutely delicious, and spicy! -Spicy garlic edamame: I wasn't impressed. No crisp on the garlic. The garlic, sweet chili sauce, and edamame felt like they were all cooked separately and combined on the serving plate. The garlic seemed like it was from a jar, and the sauce from the bottle. -Tempura banana with strawberry mochi: we devoured this, the chocolate sauce made the combination of flavors pleasant. I wish the tempura banana had a bit more going on - more crisp and less batter. -Wasabi: the wasabi actually tastes real and not like horseradish!!! It blends into the soy sauce beautifully and it's creamy. Drinks -Sapporo with the Junmai Ginjo sake: light and crisp, really yummy -Honey Citron tea- delightful Service While our service was generally pleasant, we did end up going at least 20 mins at one point without any word from our server while waiting on food. We didn't mind, and it was nice to not be rushed, but some others may want to feel more taken care of. My only slight complaint is that I didn't keep my chopsticks after dinner for our dessert, but we just ended up sharing the one pair we had. It would have been nice to be reminded to keep my chopsticks or to be offered another pair. Ambiance The space is relatively large and Miyabi expanded years ago to accommodate a larger dining area. The only slightly confusing part - I wish it was more clear which door you enter from. The only indicator is the Open sign on the left hand set of doors. All in all, I really enjoy and appreciate good quality food, and while you are paying the price for it here, it's justified. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Sadly there were too many flies landing on my food and baby, I don't want to give them another try. The only good item I've found on their menu is the Mt Rose roll and edamame (for the black salt). Everything else has been a disappointment. The Sake bowl was not worth the price AT ALL. The tonkatsu was probably the driest I've ever had in my life. The lobster roll was also a rip off; it's covered in sauce so you can't even taste the lobster.

Delivery of orders to the table were ridiculously slow. Really SLOW! Although we had four diners all ordering 'all you can eat,', they never got a single order 100% correct. Orders from different people arrived on the same plate. I have never seen that before. Quality was no more than two stars. Mussels were not properly prepared (the beards were not completely removed). Saba was okay. The best thing I ate was the Unagi, but you are limited to one order per diner (doesn't sound like AYCE to me). The restaurant - actually the wife of the owner - tried to charge us dinner prices even though we arrived 40 minutes before lunch was over. It took nearly 15 minutes before the bill was corrected (one would think that the owner's wife would have had that authority). Instead we had to endure a 'who's on first' Indian comedy routine (but it wasn't funny). And the men's restroom was out of service during our visit.
