This place recently changed management and I'm so sad that they did. The rolls were poorly made - salmon hand roll missing cucumbers, a baked roll they forgot to bake. The appetizer sampler platter was so sad looking and a scallop sushi that tasted like soap. The ambiance remained but the food is sub par. Plus - service was good. I really hope that it gets better but I'll be honest, may not go back.

The new owner is amazing! She is super attentive and kind. The sushi was delicious and the atmosphere was good

If you are looking for premium fresh tasting sushi, this is the place. I ordered the yellowtail sashimi that came with the yuzu sauce and it was by far the best I have had. The baked scallop roll was also delicious. Compared to other places around, it is a little more expensive but the quality is worth it. The place is quaint and offers tv's to watch games. Outstanding customer service and I will definitely be back.

Easily my sushi stop as I sometimes work in the area! The yellowtail jalapeño roll is DELICIOUS and such good value/quality with alot of sushi - totally worth the higher premium. The chicken karage is not the typical crispy type but it's so juicy and tender. The miso soup is delicious, surprised to find out it's made in house which really reminds me of food growing up. And then the MATCHA TOAST omg, if I lived here I would order everyday. Toast is perfectly buttery and crunchy with the most fluffiest cream and matcha powder 10/10

Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Every sushi roll was fresh, the ramen and udon were incredible, and the appetizers were delicious. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and I would 100% come back for the food. Highly recommend!

This sushi place is one of the hidden gems of Azusa. They have a great lunch menu with awesome price. The service was fast and nice.

Got this spot thru Door Dash earlier this week to try a new place - not impressed, unfortunately. While the bento box was a good price (~17 for 3 items, and comes with miso soup, salad, and rice), there was just no flavor to anything. You can see from the pic that the salmon portion was maybe 1/3 of what I'd expect a dinner portion to be. I did like how it was seared, but I could barely taste the teriyaki flavor. The rolls were really bland. I'd expect some flavor for a spicy tuna roll, but there was no kick, and no flavor. We tried this place because the prices were good, so 3/5 just for good prices, but wouldn't come here again.

The Japanese food is really good and this is the 3rd time I am here .The environment is ambiance and comfortable with very friendly and prompt service from the lady waiter.

**Rating with small child** Not sure what all of these high ratings are talking about. Maybe we came on the wrong day? Think I'm being generous with a 3-star, but I was having a nice day with my kid so I'll give them that. I guess the people of Azusa consider this a high rating. We got there right when they opened for dinner, so we were the only guests there. My son and I searched high and low on the menu for chicken karage and cucumber rolls, but it was nowhere to be found. When I asked the waitress, she barely spoke English and had no clue about the menu. Finally we figured out that this place has no chicken karage, so we settled on the chicken teriyaki, which turned out alright. My kid's tamago sushi arrived broken, but he didn't seem to care at all as he was hungry! I ordered the sushi combo A, which was nothing to rave about. I found it strange that they gave me two pieces of maguro tuna. It's like they had nothing else to serve, so they gave me two of it. The slices were also extremely stingy and rice was too small. Again, we were the only guests there and the sushi chef kept forgetting to bring out stuff. He completely forgot about the cucumber roll, and when I asked him for it, he was like "ohhh!!" and brought out thinly sliced cucumbers rolled up in a roll. Hmm cucumber rolls are supposed to be one thicker piece of cucumber, not many thin slices, but whatever. And then I asked about my miso soup that came with my sushi combo, and again he was like "ohhh!" And brought out lukewarm soup with two very crumbly pieces of tofu... I wasn't looking for life-changing sushi here, more like a casual sushi dinner with my 5 year old. But don't expect this place to be anywhere close to authentic Japanese food.

    Dragon Roll. Udon.

Food was good, ambiance was nice, and the worker was very kind and attentive. I got the udon noodles and a dragon roll and enjoyed both. Overall a solid spot and a pleasant experience.

I had a horrible experience at Sushi Factory (Azusa). I ordered the Rainbow Roll ($16.50). It…read moretasted old, mud-like, and pungent. I felt my anger boil as I spit this mess into a napkin. After a quiet drive home, I dropped the leftovers into the garbage can. "Disgusting!!" I arrived at Sushi Factory (Azusa) on Sunday (around 6:15PM). This overpriced tourist trap is located across Azusa Pacific University. Parking is easy since the lot is very big. Staff is well-meaning, elderly, and alert. Staff (receipt says Irene) appeared confused when I took photos. Irene had requested I sit closer to the counter in this fairly empty location, so she didn't have to walk much. Irene was cordial. The Rainbow Roll ($16.50) took four minutes and 15 seconds. Extremely fast. As mentioned, the Rainbow Roll ($16.50) tasted so bad that I spit it out. The salmon had the texture of glue and clay. The white fish tasted like lukewarm soap. Then, its California Rolls' filling tasted like microwaved crab juice, dribbled inside. Its rice even carried a wet, clammy, & gloopy texture. I felt furious as I paused eating. With a bright fake smile, I paid & quietly left. Regarding ambiance, Sushi Factory (Azusa) is clean and attractive. The tables are shiny, and the floors are relatively well-swept. I also appreciated the pink blossom decor. In the corner, there's even a television that plays the football game. The music had a cheerful, upbeat bounce. Overall, Sushi Factory (Azusa) is perhaps one of the worst sushi spots that I've tried in 2025. It's budget ingredients with high prices prepared lazily to prey on unsuspecting clientele. At its current state, I do not recommend. 1 out of 5
