Took my mom to lunch today and she decided to eat here. I've been here a few times before and it has always been fine. But it's pretty super underwhelming now. Especially for how expensive it is. 2 rolls, an order of yakisoba, gyoza appetizer (6 pieces) 2 beers was $75+ and the rolls completely fell apart trying to eat them. You have to order at the register the service is non existent. I don't know if the air conditioner was broken but we were sweating bullets. I got up half way through to order another beer and water, I had to get my own water from a community punch bowl and was charged $6.45 for a luke warm sapporo. The yakisoba tasted like Kraft original bbq sauce was poured on it. I guess the place itself was clean enough. I did not use the restroom. I do not wish to return.

Today I had a spicy crab ornigiri bento box with the pork belly bao. It also came with miso soup, salad, and sticky rice. All for only $15. I love to eat with variety so these bento boxes are perfect for that. I previously tried the teriyaki chicken box and that was tasty also! The wait was about 10 min so be prepared for that but it's worth the patience. The service is friendly and there was plenty of dining space and an area with complimentary lemon iced water. I've also provided an updated menu because they have so many new items not yet on yelp.

    Chicken Katsu

Disappointed. My wife and I, it's our first time trying out this place. We have been in Lemoore for over 3 years now and we always wondered how the food was like. First, I would like to say that customer service was good. You do have to order and pay for your food before sitting down. No issues there, but it's not a typical pay after you eat restaurant....more like a McDonald's, Burger King, or fast food joint. Inside feels really outdated and can really use a little brightness/light. For appetizers, we opted for the tempura shrimp and vegetables. You get 2 shrimp tempuras, 2 broccoli crowns, 2 onion rings, 1 slice of squash, and 1 carrot for pretty much $12. The dipping sauce was so diluted with no flavor, like just give me water to dip it in. Not sure how it came up to that price range. Kind of expensive for the small portion. Entrees. Shaking my head. We opted for the chicken Katsu. One with gravy and one without. On the menu, it says it comes with miso soup and salad. So here it goes, we never received our soup and salad. Not sure how you can mess up on the chicken katsu. But whoever the chef was that deep fried the chicken needs to take a cooking lesson. It was burnt, old, and you can see grey colors on the chicken. It felt like I was being punked. Like a kid's first time cooking. I took a few bites only and called it quits. My wife was just hungry so she ate 3/4s of her plate. The curry was the worse thing ever as well. It was pure bad all spice. I was hoping the curry would drown out the burnt chicken, but it was the worse combination of both. It ruined my appetite. I had tried many japanese restaurants before, and this is by far the worst. Nothing about the taste says Japanese, except for the tempura. The best part of the meal was the soda. The price is not worth the value. We paid a total of $54. I don't like writing negative reviews, but I hope my experience helps future customers before money is spent. My recommendation, just drive 10 more mins to Hanford and try out Toshiko. You will see and taste the difference. What could improve, is to take the time, and serve others how you would like your food to be prepared, fresh and by not burning it. I do wish this business well and hope it will improve from criticism as this. Thank you!

When ever I come back to the valley to visit family I always order the sushi platter. It always looks and tastes perfect. Be sure to call in your order the day before!

I has the British Columbia roll and it taste great and presentation was perfect. Our server was very attentive and accommodating. Place is a little off next to a closed out K-Mart but it was okay.

We came in at the best time- just as they opened for dinner. Everything we ordered was so delicious, and hit the spot! We started with Boba slushies. My eldest and I tried the passion Fruit ( her with the boba- me without), my youngest had the strawberry. For dinner, we ordered the Spicy Garlic Edamame, Gyoza, California Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, The Dragon Roll, the White Dragon roll, my eldest wanted Miso Soup, and my son wanted the Japanese Curry Chicken Katsu. We were not disappointed! The staff is so friendly, attentive, the food came out beautifully and fresh. We will definitely be back!

I mainly came for the brisket and to avoid going to a chain restaurant and to get a taste of what Hanford, CA has to offer. I already reviewed Holy Smokes BBQ which was pretty good and hopefully they'll have even more options in the future. Here I'll focus on the more Asian menu. I was tempted to order ramen and if I do come back, I'd go for the tonkotsu ramen or the spicy brisket. We instead ordered shrimp tempura, pork buns and a bunch of slushies. Shrimp tempura was pretty standard, but my dad enjoyed it. The buns were pretty good. They had more soup inside than I expected so mine fell apart. We also really enjoyed the slushies. I'm pretty sure they're artificial or from concentrate. We had strawberry, two passionfruit (which had the pulpy seeds, and honeydew. I've been on a lilikoi(passionfruit) binge since my Hawaii trip three years ago and lately I've been getting lame drinks from Taco Bell always hoping against the impossible. The slushie wasn't the best ever, but it's so much better than fast food chains. And actually the honeydew tasted like honeydew and might have been more refreshing. What I would like to see in the future is something else for the dishes. While it makes sense to have food served in styrofoam and plastic dishes...it's not environmentally friendly. Sugarcane is an option that is compostable and becoming more common. Or since we came for table service, maybe some actual plates that can add to the ambiance. If you order ramen you do get a non-disposable bowl of some sort and the buns were served in a traditional bamboo steamer. But it would have been cooler if the brisket was served on a slab of wood. Or a metal tray. The owner was very friendly and it's clearly a family-owned, family-operated restaurant. I'd recommend checking this out for a group that enjoys America - where else can you order tempura shrimp, pork buns, brisket, and a side of mac 'n' cheese? I want some Asian-fusion coleslaw! Disney has an Asian-fusion coleslaw with sambal chili that is pretty darn good.

We knew that it would be costly but can still be a surprise when the bill arrives, watch out for the drinks We only ordered what we had seen reviewed and listened to our servers recommendations. There are a few things we plan to go back and try though. Based on his recommendation we tried the scallop temaki and it was delicious but we still really want to try the scallop spoons. Everyone talked about the sushi so we tried the house Iza Sake roll, it was good but honestly didn't blow us away. So many reviews told us to splurge on the Wagu A-5 hot rock lettuce wraps. It was fun to have them cooked in front of us and the meat was buttery, I would say to save your money. Let them cook your fried rice in front of you for the ambiance and you get more for less money. It also has Wagu beef. We also tried the bone marrow and we liked it but I do believe it's an acquired taste. We had two mixed drinks the Hibiscus Shoga, very good, but a bit too sweet. Then the Kohahu Carmel Old Fashioned which was a recommendation and we love old fashions. This was good but way too sweet for us. I do recommend the Kurosawa Nigori. We plan to return to try the spoons and seafood risotto and maybe the lobster temaki. Also recommend going earlier than later. We had an 8pm reservation and the grill was cleaned at 9pm so it was a surprise to have the kitchen closed so early.
