    Sushi A

Omg this cute little place is a hidden gem. Craving sushi and ordered sushi A comes with 8pcs and a roll. They were quick. Waited in the car and the nice gentlemen came out when the food was ready. The sushi is worth the price. Highly recommend and will come back to try other items on the menu!

Sushi, sashimi & roll combo X-large $140 (as of April 2025)

Rating: 3.5 My son found this place and he asked us to get some sushi for his birthday. We decided to get Sushi, sashimi & roll combo X-Large. It is priced at $140 comes with sushi 20 pieces, sashimi 30% and 7 regular rolls which we can't choose which rolls we prefer. This place is a small store that is set up for pickup only style. No tables and no seats. It seems like a family restaurant. If we are not mistaken, the owner is Korean and he is pretty friendly. The food comes in a very big tray and they look good. Sashimi is fresh but the rolls are not worth the price. About half of the rolls are just simple cucumbers and crabmeat imitation. Rice is also a bit hard. We liked that they use good quality wasabi and one of the sushi types is using something like Korean gochujang sauce as toppings. We thought the price is slightly too high for the portions and the taste. We might or might not go back again depending on how much the price will be next time we are looking to get some sushi.

Sushi, roll, nigiri party tray for 3-4

Not particularly fresh, done well or priced all that well, in fact it was all a little average to below average for a slightly above average price. I ordered a party tray for 2-3 people with sashimi, sushi, nigiri and some rolls. Came back home with the tray, as this is a take out spot only, and proceeded to eat with much excitement. As the meal progressed the excitement turned into apathy as everything was just average on all fronts. Probably won't be back as the limited ordering options and price makes this place unpalatable for what it offers

The owners are so nice. Some sushi spots don't really treat you well if you're a younger customer but they treat everyone the same. Always includes a bag of chips for our son and also gives us a little extra something on the side. Sushi and sashimi is always fresh and they take the time to make every platter delight. I would definitely recommend!

Small Sushi, Sashimi, and Roll Combo ($65)

Extremely grateful to have discovered this sushi spot during quarantine. I've been craving sushi and this place really delivered. My boyfriend and I ordered the sushi, sashimi, and roll combo (feeds up to 3 people). I appreciate how the person who took my order took the time to confirm my order. During covid, they set up precautions to ensure safe transactions. A pick up window was set up and I love how they spray down the credit cards with alcohol. Our order came with a container of miso soup and a small ice package over the food to keep it cold. The sushi was extremely fresh and delicious - definitely get a bang for your buck.

Very delicious sushi! Taste was very fresh and rice to fish portion was perfect. Service was great too. Will definitely be coming back.

Delicious, very fresh, and great customer service( very polite) . I'm most definitely going back to pick up more sushi thank you !

This is my Aunt's favorite sushi platter restaurant but not my brother's. His is Northern Sushi nearby. So I will be comparing them. Pricing-wise, they are similar. Enjoy offers more size options. They offer the same styles with Enjoy offerings a bit more variety. Enjoy had the Saba with Capelin Roe and real Fluke, while Northern had Masago in their platters. Northern served larger pieces than Enjoy so I can see why my brother likes it. Meanwhile, Enjoy uses different sauces so the rolls all taste distinct and more flavorful. Cut-wise, Northern had better cuts. The Enjoy's sashimi came in unusual shapes and were thinner than how it is served in the restaurants. Ultimately, you get relatively the same amount of food. I liked them both and would go back to them.

The fish was fresh and the men worked in the counter was nice. They hurried up my order when I showed up 20 mins earlier than what they told me! Will come back

My local mom & pop sushi spot that's around the block from me. They've been here for the past few years, and survived the pandemic. I love their food quality, great and fast service, and reasonable prices especially their lunch specials. A nice hidden gem on Northern Blvd, thats easy to overlook. But if you're in this area, and looking to for that sushi fix. This is the place!

But this place completely knocked it out of the park. It far exceeded everything we anticipated. We were seated in a private booth, which made the experience feel even more authentic and intimate. Every dish that came out was absolutely delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and beautifully presented. They even provided a bell to press for service, and each time, the server appeared almost instantly with a warm smile. It's clear the owner and management truly know how to create and run a successful business--from the attention to detail to the seamless service and overall experience. For a moment, it truly felt like we had been transported back to Japan. An unforgettable dining experience.

We walked into a space that immediately stood out with its detailed decor, private dining booths, central bar, and playful Japanese-inspired design. The room had an energetic, immersive vibe that felt less like a traditional neighborhood izakaya and more like a night-out experience with elements inspired by Tokyo nightlife, the kind of place where the setting is as much a part of the visit as the food. The menu has a wide variety of dishes, but the yakitori and comfort food options are some of the highlights. We ordered a few items and found the yakitori selection offering plenty of choices and working well for sharing, with grilled skewers that paired naturally with drinks. The ramen, fried dishes, and other small plates made the menu feel approachable for groups where everyone wanted to try different things. The curry omurice was another standout, combining the comforting flavors of Japanese curry with the soft omelet and rice combination that makes the dish so satisfying. Each dish arrived hot and well assembled, and the variety across the menu gave us room to explore different flavors across the table. The atmosphere is one of the biggest reasons to visit. The restaurant has a fun, energetic vibe with city pop music, themed rooms, and decorative details that make the space feel like an escape from the surrounding area. The private booths and larger seating areas also make it a good option for groups, celebrations, or a more casual date night. We appreciated that the restaurant focused on creating a memorable environment in addition to serving food. The service was friendly and attentive during our visit. The staff were helpful with recommendations, and the food came out at a comfortable pace. The restaurant also has a strong drink program, with cocktails and sake options that pair well with the menu, and happy hour offerings make it a good place for a later evening visit as well. The main thing to keep in mind is that the restaurant prioritizes atmosphere and variety over being a strictly traditional izakaya experience. The menu covers many different types of Japanese dishes, so it may not feel as specialized as a smaller izakaya focused only on a few traditional items. It can also get busy during peak hours, so reservations are helpful for larger groups. The team moved through the room with efficiency, and the pacing of the meal kept the flow steady without feeling rushed. Overall, Izakaya Nana is a fun destination for Japanese food, drinks, and a lively atmosphere in Flushing. The combination of creative decor, comfortable group seating, and a broad menu makes it a place worth returning to when looking for a more entertaining dining experience rather than just a quick meal. The curry omurice, yakitori, and shareable dishes are some of the items we would especially come back for.

The prices on the windows are very confusing and more like false advertising for me, the lower prices are for the members which we're not since this is our first time and definitely our last, unless our daughter wants to come here again. So the price is the more expensive one. For me, I prefer straight forward pricing, so this didn't give me good vibes, it's not the money, just the way they advertising and we have to know what we can only have with the price we chose. The restaurant just gives us the specific menu for what we selected to have then we don't have to be denied for what we chose because we selected gold instead of top of the line menu. The place is clean and nice. For $78/per person and only have Australian Wagyu Beef (not really Wagyu) then it's over priced. We did have some premium beef which I liked because of the marble of fat on the beef quite tender and tasty, but only a sampler or whatever they called it. Service with one person is quite inadequate but she's very attentive and pleasant, since she had to run the whole restaurant, sometimes forgets things. The tomato broth was good and everyone liked it. The seafood plate is OK and our sweet shrimps are sweet. Some snow crab legs, jumbo shrimps, fish fillets, nothing to make me go wow. The appetizers tempura is crispy and good. The raw octopus is tasty. The vegetables are fresh and clean. After they denied me the premium beef sampler, I let my daughter to order everything else and I just enjoyed with the family. My daughter seemed to be happy and ate a lot, so I was happy. I've eaten enough shabu, hot pot to know that Australian or American Wagyu are overrated, many of them are tough and chewy, not as tender as normal ribeyes or Brisket that I like. This restaurant Wagyu beef does have marbles of fat in it, so it's tender and not so chewy. So, for the GOLD menu, I don't think it's worth the $78 but for special occasions, it's OK. I just don't like the confusion of many menu, many prices, and not getting my own menu and get denied for something on the menu because I didn't pay enough.

We are very familiar with the area and must have walked passed this neatly tucked away gem without ever noticing it. Our son had mentioned that he and his friends have been going to a sushi place near Asian Jewel, our former dim sum go to place. When we sat down to order, my wife and I were quite impressed by how clean and cozy the restaurant was. Kind of on the small side with a few tables on the ground floor level. The menu offered cooked food as well as fresh sushi. We decided to start with the sushi & sashimi combo. They also offered a sushi or sashimi a la carte menu where you can choose to order by the piece. I believe that if you choose one of their standard menu sushi or sashimi orders and pay with cash, the a la carte price per piece of sushi / sashimi is only $1.35 / piece! Well we were famished and in addition to the sushi & sashimi plate we ordered two rounds of sushi & sashimi a la carte. Their salmon and yellow tail was so fresh and so scrumptious as was the sweet shrimp. The tuna was also very yummy and did not disappoint! When all was said and done we were quite happy with our experience with Yoi Sushi Japanese. I highly recommend Yoi if you're anywhere near Tangram Mall or Asian Jewel and have a hankering for yummy sushi. They also offer cooked food as well as ramen bowls.

It was three oysters, similar to Crown Shy except I wasn't a huge fan of the flavoring here. I think a bit more kick was needed to enhance the flavor profile. The handroll set was pretty good, I liked the spicy tuna the best, then the salmon and then the yellowtail the least. In order, I'd probably give the spicy tuna a 9/10, salmon 8/10 and yellowtail 7/10. However, the tiramisu was fantastic, one of the best tiramisus I have had, creamy, good notes of coffee flavor and wasn't overly sweet.
