Sushi Taku is one of my favorite all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants in Chicago. They offer a wide selection that includes appetizers, nigiri, rolls, and desserts. You have the option to choose AYCE or order items à la carte. For appetizers, I recommend the chicken wings, sashimi salad, and fried oysters. The raw fish is very fresh, and the salmon, squid, eel, and scallop are must-order items. I visited during lunch this time, and it was noticeably less busy compared to the dinner rush. The service was smooth, and the food arrived promptly. PS the restaurant required you to have at least half of the party arrive before allow you to seated. Please make sure your guests arrive on time!

Good sushi spot in a convenient location that's great for big groups. Came in for dinner on a Tuesday night and we were seated right away, started out quiet but it got decently busy for a Tuesday which surprised me. Food came out quickly and was good and we had incredibly attentive service. For areas of improvement: The sushi rice wasn't as sticky as what you would normally expect and a lot of the rolls or nigiri would unstick as you are trying to eat them which was annoying. Not all but enough that it made it into this review. For AYCE sushi I do think it's pricier than what I've seen at other establishments. Little sad that there were no sushi boats either.

I ordered sushi here last September and had it delivered via DoorDash. It arrived on time and was packed well. I enjoyed the dishes thoroughly. I hope to visit the actual place one of these days. Glad to see they are still around.

Still the best all you can eat sushi in Chicago! Service is always great. Located across from the California station (Blue Line). No reservations accepted. Make sure to order the Tempura Oreos for dessert!

Went to Sushi Taku for my first time tonight and it did not disappoint! I ordered the miso soup, avocado rolls, and cucumber rolls and all were very good. I honestly don't normally gravitate towards sushi but my fiancé loves it so I figured I'd give it a try and I enjoyed it more than expected. For dessert, we got the strawberry mochi and tempura oreos which were fantastic. I will admit our food took a while to come out but I also acknowledge they were very busy not only with table service but also with to-go orders and taking that into account, it was faster than it could have been. Can't wait for my next experience at Sushi Taku!

We went with all you eat menu on 4th of July for $31.99. This location seems newer than the Wicker Park location and certainly not as busy. Very family friendly environment as toddlers can eat for free if 1+ person orders buffet. Their menu is on the smaller side compared to Mira Sushi in Chinatown. Although food quality seems better and less salty. My personal favorites include spicy salmon, sesame balls and eel nigiri. They limit the amount of desserts you can order but they all taste pretty good. Street parking is available or take blue line and get off at California.

Octo karaage - must get it!

Wonderful experience! Fills the Ayce cravings. They had a new octopus karaage, which was wonderful. Tiny Octo's nice and crispy morsels, we ordered several of those. Scallop is on the Ayce for dinner which is a big reason why I wanted to check this out again. Service was decent, we arrived on Sunday right at reopen for dinner, and got a seat for our larger party of 8. Really nice place for having sushi, wood accents thru out and it's not too loud to have conversation. This is my absolute tops for AYCE sushi.

Stopped by for dinner on a Friday night. The wait time was about ~20 mins but you can join the wait list from the yelp app before you come in (just be sure to check in). One signature roll + hand roll was the perfect amount of food! My favorite roll was the Sapporo. Everything is priced very fair. The waitress gave us a free matcha cheese cake as well so brownie points to that :)

    Beautiful clean interior

I love this place. I've been to a number of AYCE sushi places but this is by far the best one I have been to. How could this have escaped my radar for 5 years? I went here for lunch today & absolutely chowed down. AYCE sushi for $22.99 @ Lunche 12-3:30 pm M-F. Some of these AYCE places have pieces of sushi that are wafer thin (1/16"). This is no exaggeration 1/16" pieces of sushi (WTF?). THIS IS NOT THE CASE @ Sushi Taku. Sushi Taku has big meaty pieces of sashimi on the nigiri (see pictures). AYCE sushi for $22.99 Today I chowed down. * Tempura Soft Shell Crab - Absolutely delicious * Volcano Roll (5 pieces) * Godzilla Roll (8 pieces). * 8 pieces of nigiri sushi - 2 Maguro, 2 Hamachi, 2 Sake & 2 Unagi Sushi Taku has 2 locations the one I was at on 2283 N Milwaukee (Logan Square) & the other one in Wicker Park @ 1904 W Division. AYCE sushi for $22.99 @ lunch from 12-3:30pm

Ask the Community - Sushi Taku - Logan Square

Do you have a copy of "all you can eat" menu?

There are photos on the Yelp page under the "menu" location in "all photos". They might be a bit out of date as they add new items every now and then. So I would recommend looking at the date posted

Is there all you can eat menu? If so, what time?

It's all you can eat all the time or when it's open.

    Do they take reservations?

Yes. I was there in July.

Is the outdoor seating covered? Umbrella? Tent? Thanks.

Some of the outdoor covered by umbrella.

Does Sushi Taku in Logan Square serve alcohol? Or is it BYOB? Going tonight so please answer ASAP if you know!

They are serving beer, wine and sake. You can bring own bottle, but corkage fee $10 per bottle

    Is it BYOB?

Bring your own bottle for $10

I got the salmon bowl, the salmon avocado maki, and tuna crispy rice. The salmon bowl was definitely my favorite. The salmon was cooked very nicely so that it wasn't dry, and I loved the miso glaze that they put on top. It added a very nice sweetness to the salmon and created a very nice char. It was pretty small portion size though. The salmon avocado maki was solid too. It was the most filling! You get 5 pieces :) The tuna crispy rice was just alright. The rice part was good, but there was a bit too much mayo in the tuna. The miso soup that came complimentary with it was good too! I like how generous they were with the seaweed. Such a nice vibe inside! It's definitely a nicer spot, but still casual enough for lunch. I wanna come back for dinner! Service was quick and server was kind.

It clearly is for all their locations. Unfortunately, here at Chinatown's location, when they attempted to scan the card, the staff said it does not work and only works at the Printer's Row location. I ended up calling the Printer's Row location and had the team talk to the manager at the Chinatown location, and the manager at the Chinatown location kept their stance that it does not work, stating Printer's Row location does not know why the gift card does not work at the Chinatown location, and will not make any exceptions to accepting the gift card. Thankfully at the Printer's Row location, they are stating it's due to their system being new as they are a new location, and reason why the gift card is not working at all the locations yet which they are now working on to fix so it does not happen to any other customer moving forward. I just wish the Chinatown location showed some compassion to address the issue and still accommodate the inconvenience instead of us having to go back to the Printer's Row location to use the gift card Price: Approximately $20, not including tip for 2 people. There are lunch specials! Ambience: Indoor Seating Overall: Worst experience, especially to follow up my birthday celebration

My only critique is the pacing. Since the chef already had the fish sliced and prepped, I expected a smoother flow, but the meal took about an hour and a half for 14 pieces of sushi. The taki yoki fritters weren't bad either. We saw people getting omakase, so we ordered a yummy looking piece they were receiving. It was just okay (chutoro truffle). The nigiri was also okay. The tuna piece was the only I really loved. The fish quality wasn't as high as I was expecting. The sushi was decent. A little too much truffle in the spicy blue fin tuna and a little too vegetable forward in the hamachi serrano. All in all, the atmosphere and amazing service pushed this up to a 4 for me.
