One of my favorite local sushi places to go! They have a killer lunch special that ends at 3pm everyday. It's a small place place between Yogurtland and EB Games? Wait.. No. Gamestop. I swing by whenever I have the urge to have sushi. Depending on my order, I wait usually 5-8mins. Which is really good to me. Maki and her husband are very nice that are usually behind the counter getting orders. Their daughter usually stays there too once in awhile. Grab their $10 California Roll. We ordered CA rolls, spicy tuna rolls, ell rolls and a ninja roll. Unfortunately the Ninja Roll was not prepared correctly and two of us got food poisoning. I'll spare you the details, but let's just say two of us spent the next day in bed and in the bathroom. I'm not sure if the roll was undercooked when fired, or if the frier needs to be cleaned, but it was brutal. I used to come here all the time because I lived so close. Now when I'm in the area I still stop by for takeout. They make the unadon eel rice bowl exactly the way I like it. Some places add too much eel sauce or they give you too little eel too much rice. Their seasalad has cucumber and is very light and refreshing. The prices are also very reasonable. This is a small family owned restaurant. Make sure to call before you come on Sundays because their hours vary. read more

This is by no means a "traditional" sushi place as many other yelpers have mentioned. It doesn't have to do with its tiny size, most sushi bar is a little bigger, but It's more because of the absence of the bar itself. Nonetheless, the food is quite good and quite affordable for a sushi place. I ordered their basic combo of Teriyaki Chicken and California roll, for which I paid around $09.50. It's pretty tasty and the texture of the sushi rice is decent enough for a second return. While I was eating here, there was a soothing Japanese music. A pretty nice touch to bring some Japanese ambience, before it changed to a Sinatra song (ok turns out to be a random mixtape) The only cons I have is the relatively small sized portion of the combo I ordered. And also the narrow space they have here, it won't be convinient if you come with a group. Aside from that, it's a nice little sushi place for those that don't want to spend too much,while still craving for a good old sushi. My favorite sushi place in the area! It's family run and fairly small but it delivers great, quality food for a decent price. I've loved everything I've tried here and I've been going for 4 years! My absolute favorite dish is the creamy sesame chicken- tender chicken, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and green beans smothered in a sweet and savory sesame sauce. I've never had anything like it and it keeps me returning! To add to it, their lunch special is a good price and the perfect amount for me. (NOTE: Some people think this portion is too small. The lunch special is half of the portion of the regular combo. The regular combo is a few dollars more so if you're looking for more food, order more food...) They also have a teriyaki chicken and a spicy chicken lunch special, though I've always tended to get sesame. I've been told the spicy chicken isn't super spicy but is flavorful if you're looking for a light heat. The teriyaki is tasty but doesn't hold a candle to the sesame in my opinion, mostly because I love the addition of crunchy fresh green beans and onions in the creamy sesame chicken. Their sushi is always rolled fresh with delicious ingredients that always taste so crisp and wonderful. California roll is a crowd favorite and they offer it pretty cheap for a good amount of pieces. For those of you who want healthier options to sushi, they have several options that don't include rice. Brown rice can be substituted on any roll! Another favorite of mine is the eel roll and dragon roll, always cooked to butter perfection with the sweet eel sauce that tastes like dessert for dinner! The softshell crab in the Spider Roll is also a good choice! I haven't been disappointed by any of the rolls they offer. Their soups and curry are equally delicious! Steaming hot udon bowls will warm you up on a cold day and the curry is rich and flavorful. They serve a traditional brown Japanese curry, not the spicy type you'd find at Indian restaurants. If you like savory curry, try the Katsu curry! Tasty breaded chicken or pork as a curry vehicle delivers a great crunchy texture. Those who are looking for drinks, they have a small selection of Japanese beers and sake! They also have cans of UCC Green Tea and UCC Iced Coffee, as well as bottles of Ramune (the drink with a marble in the top). You can't get anything on draft as this is a small establishment, but you can get a cool glass of Japanese alcohol to go with your wonderfully traditional Japanese food. I went here for a quick lunch to go since the prices looked really great. Well there is a reason for that. First with the positive. The cashier was friendly and helpful. Service was quick - maybe 5 mins wait. Now for the negative. Portion size is much smaller than expected. When I asked for extra ginger- it was $2 for more than I probably needed. Spicy tuna roll had too much sriracha, crunch roll hardly had any shrimp, and I think the tuna roll may have had some tuna in it. It was all mostly rice. Flavor was fine. Overall it wasn't a bad meal, it, I just think that for $16 I could have gotten a lot more food. I wasn't completely disappointed but I wasn't "wow'ed" either. read more

I was so excited to go to this place after reading the reviews, but I won't be back. I bought the lunch special and a Dragon roll and a drink and paid $19.95 for my lunch which I thought was very expensive. The sesame chicken tasted good, but was very small. I didn't get more than 2 or 3 ounces of chicken. It was served over rice with 6 edamame pods, a tiny handful of green salad along with the smallest dab of dressing, and 4 itty-bitty pieces of California roll (Literally, the diameter of a quarter and cut to about 3/4 inch thick) . The lunch special was VERY skimpy, and I don't normally eat big portions. I shared with my 2 year old daughter and she really enjoyed the chicken and rice. I LOVE sushi and have been on a diet for a month so I was really looking forward to the Dragon Roll. IT WAS TERRIBLE. The California roll in the middle was warm and dry and tasted like it had been sitting out in the heat all day (Ewwww, warm cucumber and imitation crab do not taste good) and the eel on top was the worst looking I've ever seen. It was wide and thick and when I tried to eat it, it was so fishy and strong it made me gag. Also, the bones were very prominent as I chewed and it was just plain GROSS. One bite was all I could stomach of that, and I normally love rolls with eel in them. This was just a bad piece of fish. I won't be returning. I first ate at this place when my friend from SF came into town. It's the cutest little hole in the wall place but has amazing and fresh sushi. They are pretty good! I can't believe how awesome their lunch special is. I read several reviews before deciding to come here and there seemed to be a lot of people commenting on how small the rolls were, but they were normal sized to me. I've never been a fan of huge rolls... I like the roll to be able to fit in my mouth in one bite. The place is small and clean and wasn't too busy when I went in at lunch time. My lunch was ready in about 7 minutes and was pretty good overall. I will definitely be back when on breaks at school. read more

At first glance, this place really looks like a dumpy hole in the wall from the outside. I actually said out loud "I would never eat there" every time I was near the place. Then I happened to read the yelp reviews and decided to give it a chance and have been there a couple times after as well. I'm the type of person who finds something they like and stick to it. So all 3 times that I have came here, I ordered the ninja roll and chicken teriyaki combo [because I love sticky rice and miso soup] w/ the spicy tuna roll. They were all great! It takes them a bit of time to prepare the food (as it should) but the people behind the counter are always polite and courteous every time. I always order my food without cucumber or avocado since I am allergic to the stuff and every time they got my order right. Other places always seem to mess it up! read more

This kinda felt like gas station sushi at restaurant price. You order and pay at the register and then sit at one of their 7 seats. Waitress brought out food and I never saw her again. I paid 20 bucks for a tiny amount of sushi. After leaving sushi Teri, I proceeded to chick-fil-a to get some nuggets cause I was still hungry. Chick-fil-A gets 5 stars. My boyfriend and I have become semi-regulars. The first time I was here I got the tofu salad which had a delicious dressing and a decent amount of tofu, but needed more lettuce. Tasty though! Since then I've tried all possible combos of the lunch special. Creamy chicken is certainly the best. The teriyaki chicken is drowned in sauce. Lunch specials don't have very much rice at all which is a bit unsatisfying. Which is exactly why I've switched to bowls! The creamy chicken bowl is good and I love the tempura bowl. 3 shrimp, 1 sweet potato, 1 carrot, 1 broccoli, and some other stuff I can't remember right now. Its probably the same amount as the lunch special but the bowls in my opinion are more satisfying. Our favorite roll is Special Crunchy roll (the best). Its also the most standard sized. Eel roll and Dynamite roll were also good but small. No wonder so many pieces of sushi are so cheap, they're so small! I don't recommend the ninja roll. They're quality is much higher for a Togo sushi place than a lot of other togo sushi restraints I have been to (and I have been to a lot!!) For those complaining about how little food and expensive it is, get over it. Sushi is not ur average fast food restaurant if u are looking to find a meal to be full here u are looking to spend around $15-25 here! Hence, ordering only 1 item or 1 combo would not be enough. For the quality the prices are still excellent compared to a lot of Togo sushi restaurants. My favorite: *Sushi combo with spicy tuna comes with miso soup (comes w/4 pieces of nigiri: salmon, tuna, white fish, and shrimp) fun fact : I absolutely hate spicy tuna, but something about the way they make their spicy tuna is absolutely amazing! I always order this *Plain + beef udon (love that they add extra things into their broth! It doesn't taste like ur average prepackaged udon soup. It actually Tastes deliciously authentic +homemade) *rainbow roll ( super fresh and not overly stuffed with imitation crab! I stumbled upon this place last night and I was extremely impressed. The place itself is very small and you must order first before sitting but the sushi was phenomenal. We got a bunch of rolls which I don't remember but the fish was extremely fresh and the rolls were tasty. The edamame was the best I have had. I loved the small business owner type family - they were very kind. The sushi chef was busy making a platter but they let us stay anyway. Ordered the lunch special with the chicken katsu, rice, salad, fried tempura, miso soup and sushi rolls every dish I just mention was all in small portion but for $8.95 it filled me up. Probably because of all the carbs. The sushi that came with it was basic literally just crab meat and cucumber in it. The chicken katsu was also just alright, nothing too special but the whole lunch special did its job, still got me full, it wasn't awful.
