Rolls are average size to large portions. Their sushi selection is minimal but will satisfy the cravings of your party and if you need a large order on the same day they got you unless they are already busy that day. I arrived at 11:50 am on Wed and the place was empty. This is NOT a sushi bar. No AYCE. No hand rolls. Very limited fish - Tuna, Salmon, Yellowtail, Qhitefish, Shrimp, Masago, Eel, Tamago. The nigiri sushi had the smallest cut of fish I've ever had in over 20 years of eating sushi, however it did seem to fresh. My order came neatly presented. Everything tasted good. Nigiri is $3.50 most rolls under $11 so not cheap. Nigiri is not a good value for the quantity of fish. $24 for what you see in pic. What a great sushi spot! First off, I'm very hesitant on giving unfamiliar sushi restaurants a try. I was getting hungry and wanted to grab a meal in between appointments so I decided to stop in... For a self proclaimed "sushi snob"; I was pleasantly surprised and extremely satisfied with my experience. Everything I ordered had excellent flavor. Fish was very fresh and odorless. Service was friendly and pleasant and the restaurant itself was very clean and well looked after. Kind of an underrated thing in my opinion. This is a great little family-owned operation. I always get the miso soup, rainbow roll, and California roll and it comes out to around $12-13 which is amazing for the quality and taste you get. I just love this place. When I'm craving some rolls, this is the place to go since they have such a great price! I think this place is family owned by a mom and pop. Kudos for that. I love the lunch special it's affordable with a decent selection from an entree, with a side, and a drink or soup. Along with that you get salad and edamame. The sushi is alright, but the food itself is good for its value. I had teriyaki chicken, with 4 pcs of california rolls, and a drink. It turned out to be very filling and enjoyable. I also ordered 4 takoyaki to-go. It's alright, but it's not as good as the food stand takoyaki outside of Marukai on the weekends. I like the presentation for the food instead of paper plates and plastic forks you get actual dishes and cups. I bet o-toro (as if they would carry it) is freakin' cheap there!" Since I was already broke from paying $50+ dollars to buy Metal Gear Solid 3, plus too lazy to drive down the street to get some better-quality sushi at Marukai or Mitsuwa, I settled for this shi-tty place. This very bad unwise economic decision I made resulted in me vomiting non-stop for several hours approximately 30 minutes after the consumption of one of Sushi Teri's nigiri combo plus miso soup. Basically, I paid 5 bucks or so for food poisoning. So...what did I learn? Well, you get what you pay for! ...And always, i repeat, ALWAYS eat sushi at an authentic high quality Japanese restaurant and be willing to fork out the big bucks for your overall health and safety. Sushi Teri is, I believe, run by the same people who had Sansui around the corner. I might be wrong, don't quote me. But while Sansui was a good noodle joint, Sushi Teri is a bad sushi joint. It's not a sushi bar, per se; there's a counter, a couple tables, and some coolers for drinks. Obviously their main business is take-out sushi, which can be fine for less-discerning connoisseurs like myself. Unfortunately, I've tried the tuna roll several times, the unagi roll, crunchy shrimp roll, and a handful of other rolls, and each time the result is the same: after waiting for the very slow kitchen to put the order together, you get home and find warm fish (I don't live that far away!), bland mushy rice (pretty sure that's been sitting in the cooker all day, probably warm, and that's why the fish warms up even more) and tough nori (warm rice? Guess what that does to nice crisp dry nori). In addition, it all falls apart even more easily than usual, not well-rolled. I've heard people say that supermarket sushi is always a mistake. However, I'd take Mitsuwa's sushi over this fresh, "made-to-order" sushi ten times out of ten, and put the money I save in the stock market. read more

Our California rolls were slightly larger than the size of a quarter. The miso soup we ordered was just straight liquid; there was no tofu or anything in it. It did include traces of miso... This place we went to for something new. Very small place with decent pricing. To me, the customer service was not very helpful or friendly. I did not feel welcomed nor wanted in the establishment. The water did not taste good at all. Couldn't even finish a half glass of water. Sushi came and it's very small rolls with little fish cuts. Definitely not the portion that is displayed on the menu. Food tasted good. Left very unsatisfied with the experience I was looking forward to experience. I've been looking for a place that serves ramen near my church in Costa Mesa and I accidentally stumbled into Sushi Teri. I was heart broken when Sansui was bought out and turned into the crap hole that it is today (Migori). I didn't know where to turn, and the food court of Mitsuwa or whatever that shopping center is closes way too early. I found Sushi Teri by accident. True, the sushi here isn't the best, but it's world's better than their counterpart on the other side of the lot. (God I hate MIgori.) I come here for the noodles. Glorious noodles. Hot soup and ramen on a cold night. Nothing better in my opinion. I really enjoy the tonkatsu negi ramen. Very hearty with lots of vegetables and a bit of spice. Comforting. I typically get the gyoza and the tonkatsu negi ramen. I've also done the chasu ramen as well as the chicken udon. All very good. As far as sushi goes, I've sampled their caterpillar and dragon. Not the best but still good. Given the area and the fact that I've been searching for so long, this place gets a double thumbs up from me. If Sansui were still around, I'd still be going there, but now that it's de-evolved into the hideous entity known as Migori, I'm so glad that Sushi Teri is here to save the day. read more

The specials are ridiculously cheap, the design of the inside of the restaurant is Japanese inspired with the inclusion of some American twists. The wait staff is friendly and prompt! Cheap and yummy! This place has more of a "fast food" atmosphere; it's really small with only about five tables. I stopped by and got a red tiger roll for $8.50, which I think is a pretty good price for around 8 pieces. They had a little condiment bar with siracha and ponzu too. Wanted a quick, healthier lunch option before heading to school and thought I'd stop in and see if it was any good based on the yelp reviews. Service was very friendly and fast. I ordered a sushi combo with 4 pieces of sushi and 4 pieces of tuna roll. The 4 pieces were salmon, tuna, whitefish and shrimp. Since I'm not a fan of ebi, I asked for salmon for the 2nd one instead and they obliged. I hate to give a little mom and pop shop a low rating, but for $11 (with tip, karma people!) it was just too much for the portion size I got. It was enough, but really...it was like toddler size pieces. You're likely to get more for your buck at lots of other local joints. It cured my fix for the day, but I doubt I'll be a return customer. read more

I was kind of disappointed in the Chicken teriyaki. After reading the reviews on here I expected it to be pretty good but the chicken was dry and tasteless. The portion of chicken also seemed quite small for what I'm used to. We tried both the spicy chicken and the regular teriyaki. I did like all the menu options and the crunchy roll I had was pretty good. The service was friendly, but I don't think I'll be making this a regular stop for teriyaki. I might try some other items on the menu but I'm going to keep looking for a good local teriyaki spot. read more

I ordered a Spicy tuna roll - philly roll - eel roll - and a soda. About 17bucks after tax. walk up and order kind of location and very small. They are quick with getting you your order, so that was a plus for me. And a small location isn't really bad either. The main issue here was quality and quantity overall. The rolls were very tiny and felt somewhat cheated on the amount in the roll. The taste wasn't anything special, the eel roll tasted good but may have just been the sauce on it. The taste didn't scream fresh either. It was empty when I went in there Friday afternoon. Didn't feel the most welcome. Just a "what do you want?" Vibe, charged my card, then disappear in the back. There are many other sushi locations within both driving and walking distance. You can spend the same or less at these nearby spots and have a better quality experience overall.
