Had an awful experience. We have been eating here on a regular basis with our kids. They always order the same thing but this time my son ordered the kids steak teriyaki medium rare and they told us it was illegal and he had to get it well done. They argued with us and told us he had never gotten it that way before. Terrible service and the manager was argumentative and uncooperative. Refused to acknowledge how it had been served before. Then told us we could order the adult portion and get it however he wanted if we paid more. Not only were they rude, but charged us $8 for our drinks when we decided to leave. What a terrible way to treat very loyal customers. Didn't make any effort to accommodate us and smugly turned us away rather than trying to find a way to make us happy. Service can be inconsistent, but this level of intentional rudeness was exceptional, especially towards repeat customers. It is clear that they have no value for loyalty. I hope they are happy with the $8 they charged us - it will be the last $8 we ever spend there. The food was always fair at best and there are many choices in Naples. The only reason we ate there often was because the servers recognized us and were accommodating. Without that, they have nothing to differentiate themselves from a thousand other lousy sushi places. read more

Really love the atmosphere of this restaurant! I always want to sit outside but it's really hot in FL lol. The food is really great! I love the Kimchi dipping sauce. I'd recommend going with the seafood sunomono as an appetizer. The whole fish is always good. Pad Thai and pad se ew are really good too! Service was absolutely horrendous. We had a 6:15 reservation last night and 45 minutes later, we had to ask the hostess to get our waitress because we still hadn't ordered. If the waitress was apologetic it would have helped. Instead, she just smiled and never brought more drinks or the sake that my sister ordered (only the sake came after the appetizers were brought to the table and eaten, the beers were never brought &a we didn't bother asking again). Many tables got up and left and I'm sure we would have been one of those tables too, except for the fact that my grandma REALLY wanted to eat there. I could go on and on about how terrible our waitress was but what's the point? The only reason why I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the food was pretty good. I would order the curry. Don't get the beef satay or spring rolls. Spring rolls are small and frozen and the beef satay was really undercooked. We would have sent it back but again, our waitress was no where to be found most of the time and was completely oblivious to how bad she was attending the tables. read more

So disappointed! I am a regular customer of the US41 North location of Sushi Thai. I suppose I've gotten spoiled by their friendly service and great recommendations. I expected a similar experience here and when it took 20 minutes for our server to grace us with her presence in a practically empty restaurant, I had to fight the urge to just walk out. We had sushi, it was simple. The lackluster service made the experience quite ordinary; nothing at all like the North Naples Sushi Thai restaurant, where the sushi chef whips up custom sushi rolls based on my curiosity to experience different fish. Went for lunch with my boyfriend today. We had the absolute worst sushi I have ever had. We btoh ordered the sushi lunch combos. The fish seemed warm and not fresh at all. The rice that they use for sushi has a very weird consistency. We literally left half of our meal on our plates. NO ONE even asked us how we enjoyed our food, which we did not. Not that cheap especially when you leave hungry. The service is fast but the quality sucks. I am never going back. Also the spicy mayo is the strangest its like sweet and watery consistency. Trust me this place is the worst for sushi. You want good sushi go to Araya. This is what we got for trying a new place we spent more then usual and were disgusted by our food. . read more

Beautiful restaurant and loved the outdoor seating! My boyfriend and I visited late on a Friday night at 10:15. We sat down only to realize they closed at 11:00. We saw they had a huge group at one table and few people were seated after us. We quickly ate and enjoyed our meal. I had the Tom kha soup with chicken... I've liked this soup at other places but it wasn't bad. I also had the JB hand roll which was excellent. My boyfriend had the combination fried rice which he liked but it only had 2 little shrimp in it. The thai tea here is by far the best I've had from other places I've gone. Our only complaint (we know servers hate when people come in late and that's something we don't normally do) was the server who had a real bad attitude and didn't answer our questions properly. Also when we looked to say good bye he gave us a disgusted look and then looked away. We were going to leave a better tip than usual since it was so late, but we were treated so poorly. I'm giving a 4 star because I know it's our own fault we ate so late, but customer service counts every where no matter the time and the place. read more

I used to be a regular at the origianal Sushi Thai in Naples Park and have not been to either location in some time. Glad I went back. We did not have a reservation so we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table on a Monday night, a good sign, they are busy. We ordered our drinks, Saki and wife had green tea. We ordered a spicy tuna roll for an appetizer and were still looking at the menu when the server brought out a beautiful dish of thinly sliced hamachi sushimi (yellow tail) with some what turned out to be a spicy ponzu sauce and fresh jalepenos very small slices on top. I looked at it and said "I did not order that". The server said it was compliments of the chef. Wow!. I know when sitting at the sushi bar, you often get that but we were at a table far from the sushi bar. nice touch. Soon after the roll came out. Simply delicious. We also had a Thai basil crispy duck and salmon teriyaki. Both excellent in flavor and presentation. I am glad we came. I am looking forward to trying the original location again soon. Also, sushi fans, look out for a new Sushi bar opening in Collections at Vanderbilt, near Naples Family Fitness. Looks like it might be a smaller more intimate setting. We really love this place and have been here many times over the last several years. It is a mini-chain, with a store on the Trail and another on 5th Ave, but we love this location because the covered patio is truly beautiful, with a fountain and lots of palm trees, and it totally recessed and so safe from any storm. The menu is enormous, both Thai and Japanese. I am not a fan of Japanese food and so stick with the Thai. I have had several noodle dishes; all are wonderful.And they tone down any spicy dish to be mild, on request (Pad Kee Mao for me). My favorite Massaman Curry is always wonderful, and even better with brown rice. Last time, because we had spring rolls for an appetizer ( which were fantastic), I had lots of leftover curry but no leftover rice, and they offered to send me more rice with my doggie bag. I didn't even have to ask. The extra rice was free and saved me from having to cook rice at home. Prices are reasonable, portions are really big, service is always good. The inside decor also is really nice and there is a big sushi bar. This location is in a strip center behind other buildings, near the corner of Airport Rd and Vanderbilt. There is no visibility from the street. read more
