Great service, great sushi. decently priced. Would eat here again! tried the sweet potato roll, crunch munch and another one that was recommended by the lady taking my order!

Mediocre, overpriced, fell from what they once were. Something happened but this place has totally lost us. Our dinners have gotten worse over time, but tonight was the last straw. Dry, overcooked katsu chicken, barely edible. The sushi rolls barely had any fish on them at all, clearly portioned out to the point of being a joke, with tasteless sushi rice. I was offended to have spent a stupid amount of money for what was frankly overpriced grocery store level sushi. The pictures show the amount of fish on the roll provided, skinny, itty bitty pieces that somehow were actually served to a customer. You've lost our business.

A piece of roll they assured me did not have crab stcik in it, with the offending crab stick clearly shown.

THIS RESTAURANT IS NOT SAFE FOR GLUTEN ALLERGY, INTOLERANCE, OR CELIAC I just got off the phone with this place, I specifically ordered the gluten free shrimp California roll and it came with crab stick in it. The owners argued with me through the poor front desk girl and told me that because I had eaten part of it, that they could not offer me any kind of refund even if I came in to show them that they had served me an item with gluten in it. I mentioned that I had celiac disease and they didn't budge. Overall shocking experience.

Everything was delish! Boyfriend had the ninja roll I went woo the AAC. We shared a veggie gyoza and had miso soups. I am not a fan of the raw fish so so can't speak on that but the vegetarian options were super good! Will for sure be back

What a pleasant, refined surprise here in Dexter with the addition of Sushi Time.  Well, frankly, any new restaurant in Dexter that is NOT another pizza joint is a move in the right direction. Thankfully,  Sushi Time succeeds and excels. Nice job on the lunch offerings.  The Handroll special was well presented, tasty and screamed freshness. All the lunch specials come with a small salad and bolwl of Miso.   Ginger dressing is spot on atop a nicely presented small bowl of fresh lettuce. Miso soup is delicious.  There is an emphasis in specialty rolls. Quite a few to pick from with about every combination available. My daughter loves the Bento Box lunch. Great presentation and yummy. Lacking are choices for Nigiri Sushi (clump of rice with a nice slice of fish atop). Perhaps those options will evolve as the restaurant establishes itself and builds a following.  That speaks to knowing the demand. I hope the menu grows some as I'm a ravenous fan of Ikura (salmon roe), Uni (sea urchin) and clam. Also absent are sake, beer or plum wine.  I'm a fan and looking forward to Sushi Time being a fixture here in Dexter.

Nice interior- spotless and well ordered.

Friday night...felt like a sushi night to me...and found a four-and-a-half star relatively new place tucked into a former ice cream shop in the tiny hamlet of Dexter, Michigan. We could only laugh, as we were waiting to order, when a guy came in asking for a cone with 2 scoops of maple walnut! The sushi however, was right there. We tried a couple of their Signature Rolls including a "Dexter Roll" - a combo of shrimp tempura, cucumber, spicy tuna, some crunch and topped with both a spicy sauce and their eel sauce. A home run all the way. We also jumped for a "Salmon on the Beach". It is a big roll made up of crab, avocado, cream cheese, with a white sauce on it and a torch finish. At $10.99, it was also an exceptionally good tasting roll. Just as a basis of comparison, whenever I'm trying a new sushi restaurant, I always get a single, standard, stripped down Spicy California Roll to do a little benchmarking vs other sushi locales. This one was prepared differently than many I've had with the spicy sauce blended right into the crab instead of dabbed or squeezed on top. It scored a 9 out of 10 as one of the best standard issues I'd had. I'm throwing Sushi Time four stars this trip based on having a pretty standard stripped down menu but with outstanding, fresh, tasty rolls and a clean and pleasing decor. Will definitely be back to do Sushi Time again. Solidly recommended.

The name of this place now gets me excited. SUSHI TIME! For over a year, I've searched for a go-to sushi joint around here and finally found it. I love this place because you're not paying so much for the ambiance but high-quality sushi and friendly service. The sushi chef is the real deal. His spicy tuna roll may be the best tasting spicy tuna I've ever had. Get it. All the other rolls are colorful and fresh. The hot green tea and miso soup will warm your digestion in preparation for the sushi. There's also Korean entrees available. The bibimbap was a great mix of flavor. The only thing they're missing here is sake and beer. However, there's a Busch's grocery store in the same lot. Grab the booze and take food here to-go. A couple weeks ago, my wife and I did something we've never done at a single restaurant. We ate here twice in the same day: huge sushi lunches followed by Korean entrees for dinner.

Sad looking 16 piece Sashimi deluxe platter. Comes with 9 pieces of sashimi (3 tuna, 3 salmon, 3 yellowtail)

We had high hopes coming here based on reviews, but were ultimately disappointed with the quality of the food and the service. We went there on a Sat night around 8ish and it was moderately empty. We ordered the tempera udon, shrimp tempera roll and the sashimi plate. I was actually pretty annoyed when the young waiter put our udon spoon directly onto the table without a napkin underneath. The udon was decent- it wasn't bad. It was kinda sad that it only comes with 1 shrimp tempera. The rice on the shrimp tempera roll tasted odd, and as a result, the whole roll didn't taste right. My husband was completely offended by the sashimi platter, which was supposed to come with 16 pieces of sashimi. However, half of those were cooked pieces of shrimp, octopus, egg, and crab. The sashimi itself was pretty terrible tasting (it was quite obviously frozen and not fresh), Despite being the only ones in there for some amount of time, we had to wait for our server to finish talking with the other servers at the cash register before he would bring us our bill. All in all, we won't be back

Chicken Katsu..i like the sauce of the vegetables but not the sauce on the chicken.

This is definitely the best sushi place in the area. Not only does the price per roll beat any in the area, the flavor does too!

Wow. This place has it all…read more Sister and I went on a Friday night- quick service, quick food, AND the ladies who served us were so sweet, attentive, and absolutely the best. The inside is so cute and the plates are so pretty too! Not only are the physical dishes cool, but the presentation of the sushi was too! I got 2 orders of the simple tuna, and one New York. My sister got an order of the California rolls and 2 shrimp tempura orders. Presentation was fantastic, and the sushi was divine. The salmon was so tender and almost buttery in consistency, and the veggies inside the rolls are so fresh and crisp. I always find sushi so refreshing and it hit the spot. I'd also like to mention how fantastic they are about dietary restrictions. Tons of vegan/vegetarian options PLUS GLUTEN FREE SOY SAUCE, APPS, AND A MENU. For the celiacs out there: I didn't get glutened! They took it seriously and I had no issues! If you're not sure where to go, go to Kanbu. The entire meal was around $65, and we had a lot of sushi plus a massive pot of tea. Sushi can be so expensive and I find this place to have great prices, especially for the size and quality of sushi! If you want to support authentic, local places in Ann Arbor, go to kanbu! My only regret is that I didn't take pictures.

They don't have fountain pop which always gets a star off but has Coke products and was quick with a glass of ice. Service was by the owner so he was friendly and interesting in giving good service. The roll came out freshly made. It was delicious but different than most since it didn't have cucumber or avocado in it. But that let the shrimp and toppings shine. Beautiful presentation. I will be back next time I shop at BJ'S. I would be other times but I don't live near.

The menu is accessed through a QR code on the table, which I'm personally not a huge fan of since I try to stay off my phone while dining. That said, the menu is extensive with plenty of variety, so there really is something for everyone. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Everything tasted fresh and high quality. We ordered the Gyoza, California Roll, Ruby Roll, Tekka Don, and Miso Soup. Everything was good, but the Tekka Don was definitely my favorite, and the Miso Soup was delicious as well. The drinks were probably the biggest disappointment. The beer was overpriced, especially considering the serving sizes and compared to what we've paid for many of the same beers at other restaurants, where they're often available on draft as well. The wine selection could also use some major improvement. Most of the options leaned toward the sweeter side, and the quality just didn't seem to match the quality of the food. Since I couldn't find a wine I wanted, I ordered the Lychee Martini instead. It was okay, but definitely not worth the price, and I wouldn't have ordered a second pretty sweet. The wine and cocktails are priced similarly to what you'd expect to pay for higher-end drinks, but unfortunately, the quality just isn't there. These felt more like $7 drinks being sold at premium prices. Even the presentation of my martini was a little strange--it was garnished with two loose flower petals rather than a full flower, which looked more odd than intentional. Unfortunately, the drink selection would probably be the biggest reason we'd choose carryout or another restaurant next time. When I go out for dinner, having a really good glass of wine or a well-made cocktail is part of the experience for me, especially when the drinks are priced at a premium. Service was friendly, and our server was helpful and knowledgeable, but unfortunately it was slow. It took a while to get drinks, additional soy sauce, or have someone check back with us, and we had to flag our server down several times. To be fair, they definitely weren't standing around doing nothing. Bash seemed to have a steady stream of carryout orders, and our server spent much of our visit packing those orders. We actually felt bad for how slammed they were compared to the rest of the servers. It seems like they either need a dedicated person handling carryout or additional staff so the dine in service doesn't suffer when takeout is busy. Overall, the food was excellent and absolutely worth returning for. With some improvements to the drink selection and staffing, the dine in experience could be just as good as the food.

Having spent time exploring Japan and eating plenty of sushi there, this is probably the closest I've come in Michigan to recreating that experience. The focus is on traditional and straightforward: quality fish, careful preparation, and letting the ingredients speak for themselves rather than covering everything in sauces and toppings. The sushi and sashimi have been consistently excellent across my visits, and I especially appreciate that the menu goes well beyond the typical American sushi restaurant. There are plenty of traditional Japanese dishes and chef's-choice options, so it's a place where I'm always tempted to try something different. The atmosphere adds to the experience too. It has this intimate, neighborhood Japanese restaurant vibe that reminds me so much of stumbling upon a sushi spot in Kyoto. If you love traditional Japanese food and care more about quality and authenticity than elaborate specialty rolls, Sharaku is absolutely worth the trip. One of the best Japanese dining experiences I've found in Michigan, and a place I'll continue coming back to.

AMBIANCE - the place seemed very cozy, with booths, a handful of tables and seating at the sushi bar. This place was JUMPING on a Tuesday. I'm actually glad I made reservations. Bunch of old Asian dudes working behind the sushi counter - place seemed legit. SERVICE - our server was very attentive and was helpful with recommendations. He was very patient as we had MANY questions about the menu, and what we should be getting. MENU - this place had a pretty extensive menu. The first page of the menu had their daily specials which seemed to be a pretty deep selection by itself. They had many of your standard Japanese fare, though their appetizer list seemed to be deeper than most. They also had a fair number of sushi combos, however, according to our server, those are all chef's choice, and said they tended to be more basic type rolls/fish. One thing that was unfortunate was that the sushi rolls did not have a description of what was included in them, so we had to get clarification on a few of the rolls we were interested in. FOOD - we decided to get a smattering of items. we started with the deep fried oysters, chicken karage, and some along with some fried scallops they had on special. The oysters were good, while the karage and scallops were just "ok." Good, but nothing to write home about. We also ordered a couple of rolls - we did the spider rolls (soft shell crab), a tempura shrimp roll, dragon roll, and two eel nigiri. The eel nigiri were excellent. The rolls while good.... left me wanting a bit. From the other reviews that I read, this place is good on quality, and less on the quality, and this was on full display with the rolls. Besides the nigiri, the rolls seemed light, especially our spider roll which was only 4 pieces (I dont think I've ever seen that before). Even the dragon roll seemed small. We probably could have just gotten more nigiri in lieu of dragon roll. OVERALL - while the food was good, for the price you pay, it does not seem worth it. Maybe if we had gotten more nigiri or chirashi, we could have appreciated it more, but this place was too far and too expensive for what it was. Maybe the lunch specials make it worth coming here, but this would not be anywhere on my list of places to go for sushi in the metro Detroit area. Celebrity Rating - Salt Bae
