An alright option if you're looking for sushi in Elmhurst. The rolls are packed with fresh ingredients and fairly large cuts of fish, but the flavor is fairly plain and the price is a bit above what you'd expect to pay in the Chicago suburbs for something similar. As this is primary a take out place, there's a limited amount of seating available and it takes a while to be acknowledged for service as they're concentrating on take out orders. Overall, the food is alright but the price point is a bit high for the quality of food recieved.

Nice spot with maybe 6 tables and quick service. The rolls were cut thick and the dragon eggs made for a good appetizer.

I ordered food from there today and found a maggot in my edamame called to let them know and they said for me to get my refund from grub hub

Average. Not good, but not bad. That sums up the experience. We ate at a table in the restaurant. There are only four tables and they are not really set-up as a dine in eatablishment. We ordered four rolls. I honestly could not tell the difference between the rolls by taste as they all tasted the same. There were no sauces or creams added to the rolls to add flavor. The only way to tell which roll you were eating was by visual clues. The rolls were very expensive compared to other restaurants in the area. We went off of the recommendation of a friend, who goes to nearby Elmhurst University. If you're in the area, my recommendation would be to try on of the other thirty plus restaurants down the street.

There were so many sushi options within a few blocks that I had a very hard time deciding where to order from. Two rolls caught my eye from Sushi Time so I decide to give it a go. Placed my order online for two specialty rolls through their website. The estimated time was accurate. I went into the store to pick up. I believe they had a reserved spot up front for curbside, but I didn't know so I had walked from the Walgreens lot. Food was well packed. They gave plenty of soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger. The gari was actually very good imo. Well pickled (?), not spicy at all. My two favorite sushi items are salmon and scallop. Both rolls were delicious. Generous portion. Good amount of fish. Not fishy at all. The ponzu sauce that came with Fuji Yama (scallop topped one) was interesting. Wasn't sure if it was better than wasabi soy, but it was a fun way to mix it up between the two rolls. My only complaint would be could do with more mango in the Captain Jack. I could barely taste it since it was like a sliver compared to the size of each bite. Will probably be going back again tomorrow to try a lunch deal!

Small intimate space but great food and service. We were visiting the area to see the umbrella sky project and were looking for some delicious, refreshing sushi - we were not disappointed. Will return when back in the area!

Note to Sushi Time owners: PRETTY PLEASE expand your business to Chicago! Happened upon this cozy, little sushi joint when I went to visit friends in Elmshurst. They told me it was their favorite local restaurant, and that was all they had to say. There is a free three hour parking garage just around the corner. I think it's called Addison Parking garage, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Free parking garages are unheard of in Chicago, so I took advantage of this. This sushi place is SMALL. If you come during dinner time, there's usually a 40 minute wait. However, Sushi Time is partnered with Tannins Wine Bar & Boutique, across the street. My friends said that Sushi Time will usually give them a $10 gift certificate to the wine bar, if there's a wait. We did not get a voucher this time, but nonetheless popped on over to Tannins to pass the time. In no time, Sushi Time contacted us that our table was available. We ordered the jalapeño poppers right away, which were shaped like little sushi rolls. Some of the other appetizers sounded good, too! We were all pretty hangry at this point, so we ordered some rolls: Mango Tango, Cupcake, deepfried Rock n Roll!, and three sashimi. This was the perfect amount of food for four people. It was AMAZING!!! Creamy, crunchy, sweet, savory, and mouthwatering. I did not get a chance to try the sashimi, so I don't know how fresh it was. There was a bit of an extra wait for the sushi, but our server was very sweet about it. She brought it up and apologized right away. I'm just going to "Roll" with it. You have my heart, Sushi Time!

Finally a Sushi place in Elmhurst that rivals some of the best in Chicago. I hope Sushi Time is a long time staple here.

She even had given me a complimentary beverage with my food which was great since I realized I had forgot to order a beverage. The Chicken Drunken Noodles I had was amazing, there was tons of Chicken in it which is great since many other places will put small amount. The Philly Rolls had tasted extremely fresh and good, honestly the best sushi I had in a while. While the Gyoza was honestly hands down the best especially with the sweet & savory sauce that had came with it. Lastly, for the Honey Jasmine Green Tea it is honestly good, the taste of the drink might not be for everyone since you can truly taste a flower taste and not a sweet taste. But overall everything is a 10/10. I honestly can't wait to go back again.

We got really lucky with this amazing stand alone restaurant in Lombard. We walked into this cute, unassuming restaurant at around 1:30 for lunch. Interior is really simple and cute and they have options of all you can eat for $33 which is a great deal or à la carte. We chose à la carte as we weren't super hungry. We were so pleasantly surprised at the quality and amount of food that we were served. Everything was super fresh and delicious and there was so much food that we wound up taking some of it home. Presentation was also excellent. We started with the Tsuki sashimi appetizer and the seaweed salad and ended with the maki combination sushi platter. You place your order on the tablet, there is just one guy working in there who makes the food and places it on the counter. The decor is simple and just right. The food is the best food ever! I had the rice paper wrap with tofu in it. I could only eat half as I was so full. The seasoning on the fries is so good.. and the cucumber salad was top notch. Even the drinks in the cooker area were very interesting that I had never seen before. It's very clear that this is a very well thought out restaurant. The only feedback I would give is to add a couple of options for vegan gluten free in the menu. My wrap had to be customized and communicating with the chef was a bit of a challenge due to language.

Zenwich - Tasty Food, Lacking Warmth…read more My family and I recently visited Zenwich and tried a little bit of everything--two sandwiches and two rice bowls. Let's start with the good: the sandwiches were delicious, with standout bread that really elevated the meal. While I wouldn't go out of my way to make a special trip just for them, they were definitely enjoyable and well-executed. The rice bowls earned a solid 7.5 from my husband and son. Flavorful and filling, but maybe missing that little extra something to make them truly memorable. Where Zenwich unfortunately fell flat was the customer service. We visited around 5 PM on a Friday and there was only one person working. Not only were we not greeted when we walked in, but we stood at the counter for several minutes without even being acknowledged. I even saw another customer politely thank the staff member after asking for a napkin, and he didn't so much as look up in response. It left the whole experience feeling impersonal. If the service matched the quality of the food, this would've easily been a four-star visit. With just a bit more effort in the hospitality department, Zenwich could really shine.
