We had a great experience here last night! Restaurant is super clean, and staff are very kind. They only had a couple of staff working, however despite this, they were hustling to ensure customer's needs were taken care of. The rolls were generous with rice to fish ratio, and super fresh. We did wait awhile to get our food, but didn't mind as the quality was great! We loved every roll we tried, but our favorite was the Santa Barbara roll, it was really yummy! Super reasonably priced for what we ordered, and looking forward to coming back! read more

Be ready to wait!! We decided to give this place a try since we were craving some rolls. It took us about 30 minutes after ordering to receive our food which was mediocre. The fish wasn't as fresh as hoped. The dynamite roll is the only roll we'd order again, but unfortunately it was more imitation crab meat than scallops on top. The california roll underneath was also cold for some reason. read more

This was a new find for us! We were looking for a new sushi place to try and yelp led us to Sushi Times. We stopped in for an early dinner and the place filled up quickly while we were here. $5 draft beers, $3 Thai tea and a killer playlist had as quickly sold. I had the Seared Salmon Ceviche fresh roll. It was delicious and beautifully presented. My husband enjoyed his 10 piece sushi and roll combo. It was as delicious as it was pretty. I truly wanted to like this place after reading so many amazing reviews, but our experience was a big letdown. It was a packed house with only one server working, which made everything painfully slow. We placed our food and drink orders, but after waiting over 20 minutes with no drinks in sight, we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. One server for the entire restaurant on a busy Saturday just doesn't make sense. Really disappointing. read more

I think the ownership for the place might've changed recently cause DAMN these are some expensive sushi. i ordered the yellowtail carpaccio cause from the layout of the menu i thought i could choose. But they later told me that it's gonna be an extra 4 dollars for all yellowtail, so in total 28.99 for 6 pieces of yellowtail....no thank you. instead i ordered just 2 orders of yellowtail sushi which would've satisfied me if it wasn't so bloody. it was to the point where it tasted way too metallic like and really just forced myself to wash it down with gulpfus of water. the layout of the restaurant is still about the same, a little too crowded tbh with so many tables. read more

The sushi itself was good, but unfortunately the service really took away from the experience. I was charged a random $4 fee for yellowtail, even though there is no mention of an additional charge anywhere on the menu. When I ordered a Thai tea (which was $10), it was filled only to the very first line of the cup--leaving almost an inch and a half of empty space to the lid. I politely asked if it could be filled properly given the price, and the server gave me attitude and still didn't fill it all the way (Shown in the photo) I didn't catch her name, but she had short hair and glasses. The attitude and lack of transparency with pricing really ruined what could have been an enjoyable visit. read more

my friend and i have been going here since our first year of college! we got the golden cadillac, monster roll, and baked albacore. the golden cadillac is our favorite and it was great as always. the monster roll was also good, but the baked albacore's flavor left more to be desired. we had to wait quite a while for our food, but it was hot and fresh when it did arrive. our miso soup appetizer came out rather quick though, and the waiter asked if we needed a refill to our water in a timely manner. the music is a bit loud, but it's nice to watch the tvs when conversation dulls. the tables are a bit small, but they were clean. the floor was decently clean. read more

I don't understand how this sushi restaurant got the high rated reviews. Food and service we're not good. Rude waitress with no service skills. They never came by to check on us nor gave refills for our drinks. The waitress seemed annoyed when we asked for refill of hot water. The waitress point over to an area and told us refill our own hot water. We ordered 6 rolls and 2 Bento boxes. The bento box, don't order it the portions are very small, less than any kids meal. However, if you enjoy rice. You'll get a nice prtion it. One of the items we ordered was the baked mussels. It was horrible. How could baked mussels goes wrong. The mussels were not fresh very fishy, it was drown in a brown sauce (maybe eel sauce). The rolls were ok, edible. We won't be returning. read more

Group of 6, they were able to accommodate our party right away & brought waters out without us asking. Customer service was on point! Food was amazing!! Loved all the options! Thank you for a great meal, we were craving sushi & your establishment took care of our craving! My 2 yr old grandson loved the miso soup too! Only thing that is a con is they don't have many specials options other than a 3 roll special, only suggestion is maybe allow 3 roll special with options of rolls as not everyone can eat spicy food. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal & will be back! We ate everything & forgot to take pics but I assure you everything was very appetizing!!! read more

First, I arrived shortly after they opened on a Tuesday, which is important to highlight because they're closed on Mondays, and I suspect one dish I tried had the texture of leftovers (from the weekend). Part of me wants to try again later in the week, and day to see if this was a fluke. What I ordered was a rice bowl with braised pork belly and daily vegetables. Everything was good except the pork was dry and tough, clearly not braised that day or heated all the way through. I forget what my first choice was, but it wasn't available that day. My other item was the wonton soup, which also disappointed me for a few reasons. Portion size is good, but the broth tasted really thin, watery, and the wontons were overcooked and falling apart. The cause was they were forgotten about and the pot boiled over. Generally, you cook these below the boil to prevent the cloudy mess from disintegrating skins. The filling tasted fine, but again, overall flavors and balance was marred. I did, however, enjoy the lenon tea that comes with every combination meal. And, the employees are very nice, but the food didn't make the cut. They have a big menu and I've seen the skewers and hot pots in action so I know there's potential.

Their coffee, tea, and baked goods are fantastic, but the main reason I love this place is because it's very cozy and the perfect place to read, study, catch up with a friend, or go on a date. They have a special, themed menu that changes every month. There is almost always seating available. They have a small book exchange, often sell local art, have cute merch, and just opened up a bakery right next door with extra seating. I'm kind of a snobbish third-wave coffee person and although this place isn't trying to be that way, it still is my favorite spot because of the overall vibe, how genuinely kind and down to earth the baristas are, and how comfortable it is. A lot of coffee shops are so brightly lit and trying to be hipster still in 2026, but this place is just kind of homey and the classic cozy coffee shop we all want to go to. So if you're a hardcore coffee connoisseur and are looking for the highest quality coffee, this might not be your spot. My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant and, unfortunately, our experience with the service was disappointing. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, yet we stood at the entrance for about five minutes without being greeted or seated. We eventually looked over the menu on our own before someone finally sat us. After being seated, it took roughly 20 minutes for our waitress to take our order, and another 30 minutes before our food arrived. Throughout our meal, we were never checked on or asked if we needed anything, including refills for our water, which we were only offered after we had already paid the bill. While waiting for our food, we also overheard a highly inappropriate exchange between another customer and the waitress. The customer made an offensive comment about ordering a "Mexican roll" despite "not liking Mexicans," and the waitress responded with "that's understandable." Comments like this are unacceptable in any workplace and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. The food itself was great, and the cooks were very kind, but the service and the unprofessional behavior we witnessed left us disappointed. Because of this, we did not feel comfortable leaving a tip. Sushi Time is a hidden gem! I came in specifically to try their famous sushi cupcake and it absolutely lived up to the hype. But to my surprise, it was the chef's special scallops that completely stole the show melt-in-your-mouth perfection! I also had the soft shell crab, mango shrimp tempura roll, and everything was 10/10 across the board. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I've gone around 4 times now. Every time I say I'm not going to eat out, this is the one place that can change my mind. I'll spend my money here 1,000 times over. The rolls and sashimi are amazing. Truly couldn't recommend it more. I've been really late, before closing and the quality doesn't change at all. I decided to go to a different sushi spot one day because it was closer than sushi time and immediately regretted It. I'll never Betray sushi times again. Mango tango is one of the best rolls there. The Tonkatsu Ramen is very good. The noodles are cooked perfectly soaked with the flavor of the pork broth. The pork is cooked perfectly, the egg is flavorful and the fish cakes are delicious in general. The service was excellent and well on following the instructions or orders. I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem! It's a cozy spot tucked away in a plaza across from the farmhouse plaza. The service is friendly, though it can be a bit slow at times. I tried the sashimi combo A along with the shogun roll, and let me tell you, the shogun roll was fantastic! The spicy tuna in it was delicious. I always come here after my closing shifts at work and their atmosphere is so welcome and calming. Their philadelphia rolls, their ramen, and appetizers are always a go to for me. I would definitely recommend this place for late night dinner too for college kids (close by to UCR) as I've done this too and it was still an amazing experience. Sushi Times is a friendly little sushi restaurant that's really close to UC Riverside. The food has been great every time I go; they have lots of options, the fish is well-prepared and delicious, and the service is good, even if it can be a little slow some days. First, I arrived shortly after they opened on a Tuesday, which is important to highlight because they're closed on Mondays, and I suspect one dish I tried had the texture of leftovers (from the weekend). Part of me wants to try again later in the week, and day to see if this was a fluke. What I ordered was a rice bowl with braised pork belly and daily vegetables. Everything was good except the pork was dry and tough, clearly not braised that day or heated all the way through. I forget what my first choice was, but it wasn't available that day. My other item was the wonton soup, which also disappointed me for a few reasons. Portion size is good, but the broth tasted really thin, watery, and the wontons were overcooked and falling apart. The cause was they were forgotten about and the pot boiled over. Generally, you cook these below the boil to prevent the cloudy mess from disintegrating skins. The filling tasted fine, but again, overall flavors and balance was marred. I did, however, enjoy the lenon tea that comes with every combination meal. And, the employees are very nice, but the food didn't make the cut. They have a big menu and I've seen the skewers and hot pots in action so I know there's potential.

Our take is on the carpaccio, seared salmon, tuna, and escolar, and fresh water eel. All the nigiri we had weren't "fishy" or tasted not fresh or whatever some of the other reviews mentioned but again we didn't have any of the items other people have complained about.
