This place is only good if you're desperate for a quick sushi fix when it's convenient. The portions were ridiculously small. You could pay the same amount of money for plates at Sushi Hana and get bigger portions and fresher ingredients. Otherwise, Sushi Land is even a much better alternative with cheaper plates and bigger portions. Like another Yelp! reviewer stated, they use the minimum amount of ingredients they can get away with here. Service was lacking, although friendly. I felt like I annoyed one of the sushi "chefs" with my special order. Everything tasted fishy, odd, or just plain not fresh. I do not expect to be a patron here again. Not worth it. My total came out to be $17.55, not including tip and I did not get the satisfaction that a $17 meal should give me. I could spend $10 or less at another restaurant and be much more filled and satisfied. This is definitely not the place for people with high sushi standards. read more

Sometimes cheap sushi works. I think it only works if you go expecting to have cheap, middle of the road sushi. For those times, Sushi Track might be just what you're looking for. My experience with sushi trains has always been sub-par and Sushi Track is no exception. But, and there is a but, this sushi train did not seem dirty or old , which I've encountered as a problem elsewhere. They had two sushi chefs going the whole time I was there just making rolls and putting them out. The plates are color coordinated so you know just what you're getting yourself into. From 1$ to 5$ I believe. The variety is nothing to be scoffed at for such low prices but of course it's nothing fancy. Go expecting okay Sushi, and that's what you'll get..for cheap. I love cheap, cheap, cheap, sushi on a college student budget. So I am obviously not rating this on par with normal sushi restaurants with top quality ingredients. 1.15$ for a plate of things like seaweed salad, small cheaper items, etc. 1.60$ for some of the simple sushi rolls. veggie, krab, etc 1.85$ for some of the better rolls. shrimp, avocado, tempura I love this place, my new favorite place for sushi on a budget! busy, but not crazy where you can't get a seat, and a comfy classy one at that. read more

My first time here and really enjoyed it. While my fellow employee got the sushi from the go-round sushi track, I decided to go with the lunch special of bento box (chicken teriyaki, salad with spicy dressing, chicken gyozo, and three pieces of California roll sushi) for $6.50 - a very good deal and quite tasty. Sushi prices seemed quite fair, and the sushi I saw bob-bob-bobbin' along looked fresh to me. The restaurant decor was quite relaxing - grey painted walls with white touches and some very tasteful painted Asian touches (koi) that were attractive and not cartoonish. Chairs were comfortable around the sushi track, and overall the vibe was very laid back - people sitting around talking, taking the sushi as they wanted from the track, and just having a good lunch. My bento box came out in good time and I was able to enjoy most of my lunch at the same time my co-worker was taking the sushi from the track. The restaurant was very clean, and the background music was played at a nice volume that didn't bounce off the walls and did not preclude conversation. This is a fun place to go. I'm sure children would love the sushi going round the bend on the track. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole package, but most particularly how relaxed everything was, especially at lunch. OK I don't know what I was thinking other than being hopeful that this was going to be a tasty sushi go round. The place was nice and clean and new but I think they should have spared the decor $$ for some better sushi and maybe some presentation classes. Now don't get me wrong I like sushiville and other sushi track but this one is dreadful. They just didnt get anything right on this one. Sure its cheap but EEEAK! The spicy sauce was a horrible color sort of a off pink toward purple. The taste was about as bad ( I had hoped otherwise). The rolls were pretty uninspiring at best and some down right awful. The plain fish nigiri was not even up to par. I didn't feel to well after eating here for the next few hours either.... What a fun experience! Very modern and clean ambiance and good price as well as tons of varieties in sushi/roll kinds. Every plate I tried was tasty, but my favorite was stuffed jalapenos - not too spicy and very flavorful. Desserts were good, too - strawberry and mango mochi ice cream were good. It took a friend a lot of nudging to get me to try this place. I have been going to Sushi Hana near Washington Square for years and I felt there was nothing better on the west side. She continued to insist that this place had great prices like Sushi Hana but was more fresh. Well, she was right. There really was a greater freshness to the fish and the prices were pretty similar. It was a nice atmosphere with friendly staff and it was easy to chat with the sushi makers on the other side of the counter. I got some great stuff and I was very pleased! The portions were a little smaller than Sushi Hana but I felt that the freshness completely made up for it and that is why I'm giving this place 5 stars. I will definitely be back! read more

There are a lot of conveyor sushi places around, so it's nice that they have something to make them a little different. Service was fine, could've been a little more attentive, but fine. The track isn't working because of Covid but the restaurant is still open and the food is still wonderful! Best spring rolls I've ever had and their dumplings i.e. potstickers or just as good. I have enjoyed the food at Sushi Track since moving to the Portland area. Since local regulations have been adopted in response to the pandemic I have been ordering delivery via Doordash. The ownership has done a great job of my special requests (substituting avocado for cucumber, etc.) and the food is still a great quality for the price. One of my most recent deliveries showed up via Doordash and about half the order was missing. The driver, who I doubt has a future in customer service, was not helpful when I asked if they had advice on how to proceed. I called Sushi Track, they were extremely nice and apologetic and asked how long I would be at home. In less time than the Doordash driver took to get from point A to B the owner herself showed up at my door with the rest of my order and two Japaneses sodas as a gift. The service she has provided will make me a customer and advocate of her business for life. read more

Not impressed. I wish I checked out the reviews before I went into this place. It didn't really remind me of typical conveyor track sushi. The portions were tiny, in some cases the size of my thumb. Which if the food was delicious wouldn't be a complaint, but it wasn't. Every single thing I pulled from the conveyor was ice cold. So I asked to order items and the chef asked if I sure, then scoured the belt for the things I asked for before reluctantly making them. My table was sticky and ruined my sweater. I come here a lot to be honest. It's kind of my Go to lunch place. Sadly, it's not really that great of sushi. They sushi is pretty bland, they never have any new kind of rolls they are pushing. The servers are always very nice. Place Does serve beers if you're having a rough day of work. I honestly wish they place just had overall better quality of Rolls but when they are $1.25-&3.50 I suppose you can't expect something that will knock your socks off. I enjoyed this sushi boat style restaurant because they had many different type of rolls, though not more then i can remember, and for prices that i wouldn't necessarily willingly go back for. Went in about 4-4:30 for sushi and there was hardly any sushi on the conveyor. Why are you open if you have nothing out. After waiting awhile for some plates to show up we decided to order chicken teriyaki. The chicken tasted terrible and the sauce was too sweet. We did try what few sushi plates were on the track-a Mexican sushi thing. Mexican sushi? Everything we tried was TERRIBLE First and last time here. Not sure how it ever rated a 3 star?? This place has the track stock full all the time and is great if you enjoy trying some of the less traditional fusion rolls. Would highly recommend the popular volcano roll for a nice charred accent, the Mexico City roll if you don't mind some spice, and their sockeye salmon was very fresh. The portions are average, price comparable to other sushi track restaurants. They are a little shy with the fish in the more common rolls such as the rainbow and classic sushi on white rice bites. Overall, if you enjoy the sushi track atmosphere, I'd give this place a try! read more

For starters this place is very clean and nicely decorated. I was hopeful about this place upon entering. Sat down started watching the different plates go by for seriously 3-4 minutes before I picked my first plate....and I was starving!! The nigiri are sooo small and the selection is pretty basic. A lot of California roll based "specialty rolls". I wound up only trying 3 plates and all tasted fresh and were decent but maybe I have become spoiled by the couple of turntable sushi places I frequent and just wasn't terribly impressed. This is good sushi at great prices. The fish is fresh and the veggies crisp, everything's clean and seating is ample. Service is always friendly and prompt. We come in here all the time and the prices can't be beat. Five stars because for a sushi track place, it's the best in PDX for the price, and very consistent whenever we go in. We have tried to eat here many times and have now just given up. Besides their unnatural love of chili sauce... they have very few regular sushi bits going round on the belt. In fact he does his best to never look up if he can help it. Then after you give your order...... he sighs and walks over to the other side, stands for a moment, then grabs the fish, then he puts the fish down, then he grabs his knife, then he stares at the fish..... as if willing the fish to cut itself or maybe he is apologizing to the fish, the he slowly cuts the fish, then he puts down his knife, then he puts the fish away..........taking a break here .... if you are getting tired of reading that imagine when you are hungry and he is only working on one order..... just one. fast forward you eventually get your fish........eventually. Although by the time you get it, you feel as though you have aged, and it is now the next meal you are eating for. The service is slow even on non busy times, they have an unnatural love affair with sweet chili sauce, this is not the place you go to when you are in need of some quick fish bits. The service sucks, all the staff look like they would rather be bathing a rabid cat or that they are in trouble and sentenced to work here to pay off their time. My gods I have never seen such an unhappy work crew in a restaurant. I did notice that they lowered their prices to the norm when it comes to small plate sushi. however even if it was free I would not go here again just due to there are many other places around that will actually serve you and be happy to do it. When they first opened .... we were right there...... then gave up, when we saw they had lowered their prices.... we tried again.... after a few more months we tried again.... have to say wee are done trying to give this place a chance...... read more

She really wasn't complaining either. She just didn't eat what I think was squid because it did not look right to her and he just unleashed on her. Waving his knife around the whole time too. Stopped here on a whim on lunch after running some errands for a quick bite. The place wasn't very busy and I wondered how long the sushi has been on the track...I wanted some egg rolls and they looked cold. I asked the waitress if she could throw some in the fryer fresh for me and she said she was "not allowed" but could microwave some ones off the track for me?!? Are you kidding me??? At that point I was just disgusted and wanted to leave. The only reason this gets 2 stars is the waitress was nice and apologetic about only being able to microwave them for me. It might have been the owners but if you are that budget conscious then it makes me wonder where else they were cutting corners...not a good sign in a sushi place. read more

There were a only few other costumers there around the time I went, but the track was fullllll of stuff. I saw an old sushi pizza on the track and ordered one (thinking they would make me a fresh one), he grabs one from the track and hands it to me... I asked if it could be warmed up at least. He sticks it into the oven and hands it back. The rice was stale and everything still tasted old. The chefs were still making rolls and filling up the track even when there were barely any costumers!
