We made some requests for dietary concerns and they adjusted for our needs without any questions. Udon was mild and the chicken was solid. We got the sweetheart, geisha, spicy tuna, crunchy spicy salmon, and a cucumber roll. Great mix. On the spicy side which we loved. Geisha had a balance of sweet and spicy. BingBing and the other female waitress were both incredibly friendly, kind, and social! We came in very late but they accommodated us with no issues at all and even allowed us the option of ordering more food even as they were preparing to close up for the night, which we really appreciated! The rolls and mackerel sashimi were all very fresh and the food arrived quickly and was aesthetically pleasing. We will definitely come back next time to try their wide ranging selection of foods! One area of improvement is to add just a bit more of the lobster salad in the green tea roll, for the other ingredients easily overpowered the taste of the lobster. Beyond solid. We've ordered several times and its always good and fresh. We order a lot of the veggie sushi often and have had rhe avocado rolls, sweet potato rolls and cucumber hand roll. But the very best is the avocado peanut rolls, they are amazing - the freshness makes the flavors blend perfectly! Weve also had some of the salmon sush which is also good, the veggie gyoza was amazing (just tried that for the first time), it has whole edamame inside along with other vegetables. Weve also had their regular gyoza and chicken katsu. Its great to have a go to sushi place nearby likw this. Hopefully one day well have time to eat inside. read more

It used to be better but in the last year two years since 2022-2224 it has declined as they have more business but are less organized. Often out take out or delivery orders are missing items or contain the some of the wrong items ordered. Tonight I ordered the hibachi steak and it was very over cooked and a few years ago it was a perfect medium rare. I was on the hunt for good sushi and found this little hole in the wall spot. Its abit of a drive from my house but i made the trip anyway on a rainy day! We wanted to order a few things that were on the menu but they didnt have on that day : ( the waitress explained that its been random gettin certain things after the pandemic. However, we were still able to create an order with a good amt of sushi for me to take home to the family. My son immediately enjoyed his sushi and told me this place was better than our local sushi spot. Now I'm in trouble cos im not trying to drive 20mins+ to get sushi whenever he has cravings!!! Lol but i must say the sushi is very fresh, and one thing that amazed me was, i ate the leftover sushi after takin it out from the fridge the next day and the rice wasnt even hard! I feel like it's weird to compliment the service when I got take out. The woman who took my order is always there when I go. She's always fast and very sweet. If it's hot she offers cold water. The restaurant was quiet at 6 pm on Saturday, but I could tell they were filling lots of to-go orders. Once seated, service was super quick and friendly. Our server answered our questions, gave us our drinks (they have tea and soda, BYOB if you want alcohol), and took our order within 5 minutes. Our appetizer and sushi came out quickly as well! Everything was super fresh, carefully plated, and tasty. Perfect melt-in-your-mouth cuts of fish and tender sushi rice. The snapper carpaccio appetizer was my favorite, but the sushi dinner and specialty roll were great too. I could tell all our rolls and nigiri were made to order, and handled with care. UPDATE: It just gets better. They use top quality ingredients. Food is fresh. No post Sushi/Sashimi fishy or heavy fried taste. Agedashi Tofu was nice and fried - their tempura appetizer was lightly fried. Naruto Roll a d Summer Roll were top notch. Had a great experience here. Their sashimi melts in your mouth. We enjoyed the takoyaki (octopus dough ball) appetizer immensely! Like real street food--very comforting on a cold night! Also liked the yellowtail jalapeño. Out of Control roll was a hit. I rarely like "Chef Special" rolls enough to remember the name or get them a second time. That miso/eel sauce combo is fantastic! Went here a few weeks ago with a friend and it was the best sushi I've had on Staten Island. Hands down. I was super hungry so I got the sushi dinner plus an additional yellowtail jalapeño roll and two pieces of eel sushi. Everything was extremely fresh and delicious. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't absolutely love was the tempura ice cream because the tempura batter was a bit doughy for my taste. I prefer a lighter and crunchier batter. I'm looking forward to going back and trying some of the other dishes. read more
