I just tried this place this past weekend and I loved it! I ordered the spider roll and tuna roll. I was pleasantly surprised and how much meat they put in their rolls. My tuna roll was packed with Tuna and for it being under $5, it was well worth the money. The Tuna tasted very fresh and the rice was seasoned perfectly. The soft shell crab tasted freshly fried. Some sushi places have low quality wasabi but this place's wasabi tasted very good. It wasted like a very high quality wasabi. It paired well with my Sushi rolls. I will definitely go back here. They have lunch specials on Saturday which I am looking forward to try in the near future. read more

I'm so happy I found a great place to get takeout sushi in town! I've tried a few things so far- spicy tuna roll, salmon avocado roll, shrimp tempura roll, Godzilla roll and miso soup. The quality has been great each time I've ordered and the rolls are a really good size. The Godzilla roll was definitely my favorite so far and I'm excited to try some of the other special rolls. I'll continue to come here when I'm craving sushi and plan on going soon to sit down and eat in the restaurant as well. Downtown Somerville has so many great options to dine at, I'm glad I found this little gem on a busy street. They offer a fantastic lunch special! I got two rolls with a miso soup for $7-$8, you have the option of getting the salad as well but I chose to order a app of shumai for $4.50. The food came out quick and fresh. I ordered the crispy spicy tuna roll and salmon avocado roll. I wish I ordered an extra roll, they were so delicious. Plenty of metered parking. Not sure if they are byob but I'm assuming yes. We walked into this place last minute on a Friday night to celebrate my birthday since another sushi place had been unable to accommodate gluten free. We could not have stumbled upon a better experience! Elan at the sushi bar made us a custom omakase tasting all gluten free and so delicious, even though they usually only do the tasting on week nights. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and really created a one of a kind meal while making us feel special and taken care of. We ended up with about 15 different courses i believe all fabulous and ended with a special ice cream sushi dessert. As a frequent former customer, I was enthralled to see that Sushi Yokohama had reopened. Their prices and sushi quality are unbeatable here in Somerville. They are taking COVID precautions by providing hand sanitizer at the entrance and at each table. Meals are served with disposable wooden chopsticks. I was pleased to see the same quality, portion sizes, and consistency in pricing even though the restaurant had moved to a larger location. A okay. Chinese owned sushi place. Rolls were very fresh but on the smaller side than other places imo. The kids salmon teriyaki meal was of decent size and pretty good. We also ordered the fried fish katsu and I wished I took a picture of it but that was very sad looking. It was even smaller in portion than the kids salmon bento box but at double the price. The fish was your regular frozen fish patty from the supermarket and served over steamed white rice and some soy sauce. Very bland and poor in quality. I wouldn't venture outside the sushi tbh, the entree menu is good but not wow. For an app, kani/seaweed salad is yummyy and enough for two people to split. The regular rolls are a bit on the small side, as well as the takeout portions. The special rolls are honestly all delicious I've never had a bad one, and I adventure around the menu since I go here often enough. This place is definitely the best in Somerville. Was looking forward to the sushi here given the reviews, however here ramen was worse than a instant packet, soggy and flavorless. The sushi was not fresh the tuna tasted chunky and was not wrapped tightly so was messy eating different rolls. But also the prices were cheaper than a normal roll so you get what you pay for. The pumpkin tempura roll is unique and tastes good. The other rolls tasted pretty good as well. We ordered a side of udon which had great consistency. The restaurant is larger inside than you'd think it would be based on the outside. They have a bunch of tables inside and a few outside under umbrellas. We were seated instantly.
