Tsuru serves high quality and fresh sushi! Whether you're getting their lunch special pricing or there for dinner, you'll be happy you went. They offer gluten free soy sauce, which is a plus for those that need it!! The service is always quick and the servers are polite. The vibe of Tsuru is nice and feels more upscale than it looks from the outside.

I returned here and had a number of different types of rolls. All the fish appeared very fresh and of high quality from what I could tell. The ones I tried are below. Cosplay Roll - This was a special roll on the night I attended. It was rice paper wrapped salmon with spicy crunchy salmon, avocado, and mango sauce. This had a different texture to it because of the rice paper presence. It was very light, and the presence of the sesame seeds was a nice added touch. Tango Roll - This had a tuna and avocado filing that was topped with yellowtail, jalapeno, onion, and a jalapeno cicras sauce. This was my favorite roll of the day. I just really enjoyed all the toppings coming together. The sauce made it that much better too. Spicy Mama Roll - This contained spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy salmon, and asparagus wrapped by comdu seaweed. This was alright. It was my least favorite tried of the day, but I would still order it again. I liked the slight crunch from the asparagus. Tsuru Roll - This had a white fish tempura, spicy tuna, and avocado topped with black pepper tuna, tobiko, spicy coconut and a cilantro mayo. This was another pleasant tasting roll. I did not get a real good taste of the spicy coconut, however. The cilantro mayo provided a different touch to the overall roll. Mystic Roll - This had a spicy crunch tuna and an avocado filing with a tuna and red wine pear on top with black rice and a special sauce. I was most intrigued in trying this one because of the pear present. I never saw that with a sushi roll before and it did not disappoint. The pear had just enough sweetness to work well with the rest of the components of this roll. Sweet Potato Roll - This was extremely large. The warm sweet potato filing was soft and tasty.

Consistently high quality sushi at decent value, with attentive service. Great menu items for sharing with larger groups as well. I like that they refill your hot tea.

Nice ambiance. Quality food. The servers are extremely attentive which sometimes turns into a rushed experience. They brought our check out with the dessert which was rude. There were no costumers waiting and plenty of tables available. The wasabi tuna dumpling was tasty and fresh. Topped with a gold flake it was presented artfully. The fantasy pizza was very good. Half of the fantasy pizza was topped with tuna and avocado. The other half was topped with crab and mango. The "crust" was a crispy pancake which held it's shape really well and complimented the topping. The rolls are always good here and very filling. The only thing I'd say is it's not a place to have a relaxing dinner.

I have been going to Tsuru for almost a decade, and it never disappoints. Always fresh, quality, delicious sushi. Price has went up significantly over the past year, but I don't blame the restaurant for that since the price of everything has gone up ever since Biden became President, and the price is similar to comparable places in the area. Highly recommend the Ajisai Roll or the Atlanta Roll (or both!) with a side of the spicy mayo. The Hand Rolls are delicious also, always packed to the brim with fresh fish!

If they sold that id buy it for home. Service was fast, order taken the moment we decided and our app came out about 3 minutes later. The ramen took another 5 minutes and then came out steaming. We were able to walk up to the front and get our check immediately as well. Overall friendly and speedy. The inside is cute with a minimalist japanese aesthetic. The kitchen is pretty on view so you can see you're sushi or ramen being prepped. Overall great find and if i'm in the area again i'll be back!

The ramen had great depth of flavor, the tempura was crisp and light, and the roll was fresh and satisfying. Even on a rainy Thursday night the place was packed, which says a lot, but we were seated immediately. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient the whole time. I also loved the ambiance of the place. There's something about it that feels very communal, and it was cool being able to watch the sushi chefs and the rest of the team at work. This will definitely become one of my staples in Morristown!

The yellowtail is flavorful without being too fishy and the salmon cuts are consistently high-quality. The red tuna is alright. Albacore and sea bass are both good. Even the plating is beautiful. The environment here is very welcoming. Even when it's completely full, the music and conversations are never overly loud. Used to be BYOB but now has a drinks menu and bar. I haven't tried the sake, but the NJ wines are decent. The desserts are limited. The oreo tempura ice cream is interesting though and unique to this location. I wouldn't recommend getting any desserts, though. I'd fully recommend coming here! It's the best sushi in the area.

I've eaten at Ottoyee for months now, and each experience has been incredibly delicious. However, the only thing is that the wait time can run very long. Not for the food to arrive, but for placing the order. We tried to get the attention of the waiter on staff multiple times, but was either ignored or they were behind the screen attending to something else. The wait time was around 15-20 minutes, but this is likely attributed to the small staff. Otherwise though, they were incredibly kind and knowledgeable of the menu and we still had a delicious experience as usual.

Upon entertaining on a weekend evening, there were a few tables with patrons but not too busy. The restaurant did seem a bit understaffed with only one person taking orders / bringing food out, making it difficult to flag down this one person to successfully take our order and ask for anything additional throughout the night. Gyudon: for the price, we were really surprised at how small of a portion this was. It was not only in a small bowl, but the meat was layered on top perfectly deceiving you to think that there was more than there actually was. The majority of this dish was rice, and with limited sauce at that. As displayed on the menu images it was to be served with a runny egg, but unfortunately we got a fully cooked one (disappointing, as we were looking for something to mix with the rice!) Sushi: We got a 3 rolls and they were just alright. They were pretty small in size, with less rice than I'm used to (which is something I do like - I would rather more fish than rice!) With us getting spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and spicy scallop - they all kind of tasted the same, so I wish the fish wasn't as heavily masked with spicy mayo. Ramen: I got the black garlic ramen, and it wasn't the best, but wasn't the worst. I've purchased fresh ramen packages in the supermarket before and it tasted just like that, so it made me disappointed knowing I could achieve the same at home. The soup itself was extremely rich and fatty, and the charsiu had no flavor whatsoever leaving much to be desired. The main reason I'm rating this so low is upon having my last bites of sushi, I could tell something was off. I don't recall which specifically I had but I made a statement that it was extremely fishy and off putting. Fast forward later that night, I was hunched over the toilet vomiting with stomach pain - and I can deduct that the sushi was the culprit. I might consider trying Ottoyee again due to the great deals they have listed on food delivery apps, but the sushi quality (quite literally) put a bad taste in my mouth.
