As to the sushi quality, this place is great. The rolls were delicious. However, I cannot leave this place a 5 star review and I'm leaving a 4 star because: 1) this place is primarily geared towards takeout. It is not located in a nice plaza. The place is kinda cramped inside. All these things would be fine if the restaurant was not charging for their sushi the same price as nice sit down restaurants in Aventura area. This restaurant is not in the same category, hence I believe the prices should be lower. 2) the food took long to come out. The restaurant only had one other person inside and not that many to-go orders. All that being said, I still enjoyed the food a lot. I would recommend this place if you were getting takeout

The beautiful mural on the wall that was hand painted

Amazing place! The sushi tastes amazing, they have an incredibly large menu and everything is made fresh!!!! The desserts melt in your mouth and they even have ramune along with a lot more other drinks. The owner is so kind and the establishment looks amazing, the interior decor is beautiful. The service is amazing aswell!!!

The total experience is excellent. On entering, this small restaurant is clean, and nicely decorated. The service, well above par, is refreshing. Most importantly, the food is amazing. If you are in the area, and you enjoy sushi, do not overlook this restaurant.

Baked Melt so good and unique!

Wow so fresh and so good! I was very surprised. Spicy Tuna was really good too. Staff is very kind.

It was a really good lunch Highly recommend. The fish is fresh and the service is outstanding.

Wow wow wow Sushi rolls that are different than your ordinary sushi rolls. They are out of this world. The service is outstanding. I will be back

Small restaurant that seems to be trying their best - quality of fish is not fantastic and portion of fish is small compared to rest of roll. Expensive for what it is - will not volunteer to come back but would not avoid. Very clean, very nice plates and chopsticks.

Hubby and I stopped in and it is SO cute and cozy!! I LOVE the atmosphere, the hand painted wall, and the umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. Everything was fresh and delicious. The owner (can't recall her name) came and made sure we were satisfied and then just talked w/ us. Sushi is my favorite food and I think she did an amazing job and I would highly recommend!!!

Mellow exotic (i think it was called) drink

OMG! My friend who lives in Hollywood brought me to this place and literally as soon as you walk in you can feel the love. Its such a cute space and the staff was so friendly, sweet and knowledgeable. My friend and I ordered the On Fire roll and a Baked Melt roll and it was like my taste buds were backflipping. Seriously SO good. We also ordered a Mellow Exotic drink and it was such a fun beautiful tasting drink. Never had anything like it. Im usually too lazy to leave reviews but it was so good I had to show some love! Please check this place out you wont regret it!

    Beautiful details

Not sure why there aren't more reviews on this place. This is by far the cutest little sushi spot in Aventura - all of South FL, even. If you enjoy curated dining experiences and attention to detail, this is the place for you. Our waitress, Sati, was so kind from the start, and she took the time to explain the items on the menu and what makes them special. As an interior designer, I also appreciate the effort in making this small little restaurant feel cozy and ambient. This place is really a hidden gem. I will be coming back and bringing friends and family for years to come! By far my new go-to sushi spot.

The atmosphere is very relaxing, the beer selection is solid, and the sushi was great. Definitely try the ones with melted cheese on them.

The location itself has a soothing ambiance and everything was very clean. The service was also very good. Very kind and attentive. Now the food. I got the oma deluxe and got to try a lot of different things that I wish I remembered the names of. What I do remember is how fresh everything tasted. Not only that but the flavors of their dishes were exceptional. I was so indulged in some pieces that I'd completely forget to take a picture of the next. A must and I mean must try is the king salmon with lemon and salt. I don't know how they do it but it tasted so buttery and delicious, I had to get more after the experience. What was supposed to be a regular dinner quickly turned into discovering one of my new favorite sushi spots. I've been to some fancy spots but their flavors did not stand out like Omakai. I will most definitely be back to try their other dishes and for that king salmon.

Miami sushi will never be New York, San Francisco, or Japan, let's be real, but this is easily top three sushi in all of Miami for me. The key is non-negotiable, sit at the bar and do the omakase experience. They offer omakase at $50, $70 and $90-ish dollars, which is kind of wild when you consider the quality, the pacing, and how much food you're actually getting. Every piece is thoughtful, beautifully composed, and genuinely exciting to eat. Yes, a few bites lean a little saucy, that's my only critique, but the quality of the fish itself is insane, clean, fresh, and handled with real respect. I believe some of the owners are Peruvian, and you can feel that influence in the flavors and the way the dishes are presented. It adds personality without overpowering the fish, which is exactly how it should be. The experience overall is a straight 10 out of 10. If you keep kosher or avoid shellfish, this place deserves extra love because they offer kosher-style selections that don't feel like an afterthought, which is huge and honestly rare. That alone makes it a standout. One tip I'll give you, and this is important, sit at the bar and do the omakase. I can't really vouch for the rest of the menu, though I'm assuming it's solid, but the bar experience is where the magic happens. Right now, nothing compares to omakase here at this price point. Blind Tiger is special, and I'm saying that knowing full well I might regret exposing it.

Not my first omakase but my first in south Florida. Overall it was a good experience. Went for the…read morevalentine experience. Started with what I would consider sushi appetizers before the nigiri. I felt they were relying more on sauces in those dishes- but still solid. My favorite was the "tower" that had a cucumber base, nice chunks of avocado, topped with raw fish. There was a nice Unami flavor with truffle. Truly amazing. The nigiri was fresh- with some fish being preferred over others. Also, they had soy sauce on side so you could add the amount you want. Overall all the nigiri was good except for the shrimp Was my least favorite out of them all. However, I enjoyed each nigiri and trying fish I don't usually get. The last Sushi item was a hand roll. They then served miso soup which I thought was out of place in terms of order. Maybe should have been served first. The dessert in my opinion wasn't good and seemed store bought. In their defense, I am not much of a sweet person. I would have much rather had another sushi dish. However, one thing to note is that with the dessert - they did not give all parties the same type of treats. Therefore, we were a little disappointed when we didn't get the fruit tart and the chocolate macaroon. For drink I got a Japanese vodka drink (can't remember the name) that had a hint of wasabi. Wasn't spicy but you could taste it. The passion fruit mojito was so much better though and actually was part of the main restaurant. Servers were nice! Ambiance was really peaceful and cozy vibe. Sat at the counter thinking we would be able to watch the sushi chefs but instead just saw their heads. Would have been nice otherwise.

The service was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and very prompt. At times it was almost too attentive, as the busser kept trying to clear our plates while we were still talking and eating at our own pace. The food, however, was absolutely outstanding. The Peking duck was amazing. I'm from Asia, so I've had Peking duck countless times, and Toku truly delivered. The duck was tender, the skin was perfectly crispy, and it wasn't gamey at all. Paired with the sauce, every bite was delicious. We also ordered the crispy rice, dumplings, and tuna pizza. Everything was excellent. The tuna pizza was a pleasant surprise--we weren't sure what to expect, but we're so glad we ordered it. To finish, we had the frozen banana dessert, and it was to die for. We left full, happy, and already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

The ambiance is always beautiful, especially being located inside Aventura Mall, and the atmosphere is one of the reasons we wanted to return. When we first arrived, the service was attentive while taking our appetizer and sushi orders. However, after placing both our appetizers and entrées, the service noticeably slowed down. We started with the Otoro Nigiri, Shrimp Dumplings, and Lamb Spare Ribs, and they were all delicious, fresh, tender and flavorful. No complaints there at all. The issue came with one of our entrées. The Toku Ramen, Kung Pao Chicken, and Braised Short Ribs all arrived together, aside from my Shrimp Fried Rice. After waiting a few minutes, one server told us it was on its way, while another said it was just being plated. It ended up taking another 20-25 minutes before it finally arrived, making it seem like the order may not have been put in initially. It was disappointing because everyone else at the table had finished their meals before mine even arrived, so I just ended up getting a to-go box. After that, service continued to be slow, and it took quite a while to receive our check. I was especially disappointed because I had recommended Toku to my family based on my previous visit. Although the food continues to be excellent and full of flavor, the service this time unfortunately took away from what could have been another great dining experience.
