I vacillated between 3 and four stars The food is very good, but there's such a thing as too much. The potato pancakes are great. An order comes with two. I couldn't finish one. Had eggs over easy next time. The amount of hash browns was daunting. But real maple syrup and excellent tea choices are positives for me. Good friends tell me their burgers are really good. My husband and I were visiting my sister so we decided to go to breakfast. We showed up and we're waiting for them to open. I was impressed that the minute the doors opened the restaurant was full. There is a sign letting you know everything is made to order, which I was also impressed with, so all 4 of us patiently waited while having our coffee. We watched 2 tables order, eat, pay, and leave. Both tables got other guests, ordered and ate. We still didn't have any food. Our waitress completely ignored us, after an hour and 15 minutes we decided to leave. Upon contacting the owner about our concerns she was insulting "if you want fast food go to McDonald's!" She also insinuated that we lied about how long we waited and lied that we said something inappropriate to a minor waitress. We are all mature adults, and I would expect more from a business owner. In all honesty, I believe our order was forgotten. At one point the cook came out, looked around, seemed surprised that we had no food, and rushed back into the kitchen. I would have been completely OK with a sincere apology, but I don't do well with insults and attacks on my character. read more

The "defibrillator was awesome. Was it a big as burger heck yeah. Would I order it again probably. Small place cash only. But you already know those places are the best. I was waiting for my order and some out of towners tried to pay with card. The waiter who was prolly part owner said just get it next time and I was amazed. Not much places like that around any more. Whenever I travel I try to find the small "mom and pop" cafes for breakfast and lunch. People that run these cafes are the "salt of the earth" and I believe in supporting these small, local businesses. The franchise businesses get enough traffic and small diners are a dying treasure. This small diner did not disappoint with its nostalgic charm. It was clean and airy. We were welcomed by friendly staff. Our order was taken in a timely manner. I ordered the seasonal asparagus soup. I swear my grandma was back in the kitchen and had made it. So yummy! This is definitely a hidden gem and located 1/2 mile from the Badger car ferry. If you enjoy small diners, give this one a try. It is a cash only business but don't let that deter you because the prices are fair and you get a lot for your money. On our way out we offered to pay for a person in the armed services. My husband and I had lunch here today. First impressions were great! Cafe is squeaky clean and tastefully decorated. Waitress could have acted a little more excited to see us walk in, but that didn't matter much to us. I tried their bacon cheeseburger which was seasoned nicely and cooked just how I like it. Hubby had the pizza burger, which he said was the best one he's ever had. Hard rolls that both our sandwiches were served on came from a bakery in Sheboygan and were very good! I could ding it one star for the waitress who didn't seem excited to be there, but our food was so good and the atmosphere was great so that made up for the slight lack in friendly service. Yum! Dined in for lunch. These prices are unbelievably cheap. Massive cheese burger for $5 add fries for $1. They have multiple fry choices. The sweet potato fries were awesome. Thin and crispy. Cup of soup for 2.50 was huge. Kids nuggets were $2 and delicious with the batter. read more

I visited Susie Kay recently and it was the worst experience ever. I love there food, but there service and attitude stinks. As I waited in the lobby, they came and got my name and stay behind the walls and not once let me know what was going on with my food. I order 2 burgers and fries, needed to take my father in law lunch due to Covid 19 and him not being able to walk, he can't get up and go to the door for his Meals on wheels. I order at 11:10, I got there at 11:30ish. They had me waited at least 40 minutes, which was unusual, they're normally pretty fast. So at this time at least 3 delivery drivers came in, the first one had a return of two meals. Susie came out took it and hurry to the back. A few seconds later she came out put the food in a new bag, walk over to me and gave it to me. At first I didn't think nothing about it , was just glad to finally get my food . I drove two blocks away, about to eat my fries it was limpy and cold. I called Susie and let her know, she acted as if she didn't care. I ask since I'm running late can I bring back the food and have my order replace. She said yeah in a unpleasant way. Next day I called, no answer. I figure maybe I called too late. So the day after I called a little bit earlier and she blocked my number. I was not rude or disrespectful to here, after the long wait I still gave her a 6 dollar tip. I did expect her to honor her word and not rob me on food I did not get to eat and my $20. Now I feel the order the driver brought back was the food she gave to me and she knew it, didn't care and now my food was exposed to a third party who may had done who knows what with it. With the COVID 19, I defiantly didn't trust and glad I didn't eat that food. SHAME ON YOU SUSIE KAY and may God Bless you to change your evil ways. read more

I've eaten here twice. The burgers are large and tasty. A good value for the price. The service is ok. Pretty friendly, but not attentive. Had to remind waitress twice to bring the side I had asked for for my fries. Never asked if I wanted my drink refilled, which I drank completely mid-way through my meal. Also, they are a little slow getting the food to the table. I know it's not fast food, and yes, the large (10 oz) burgers take longer to cook, but plan on waiting at least 15 minutes for your food, and that's if it's not busy!! read more
