We are so thankful we found Sustainable Home on Yelp. We were shopping around for Mini Split A/C's and reached out and connected with Roman, he was fantastic from day 1. We received a few quotes from other places and honestly one even came in a slight bit cheaper but honestly, it was The professionalism and clear communication that won our business and to us it was well worth paying a bit more. Roman made sure We understood all of our options for AC, recommended what he felt what may best fit our needs with all things considered, and went above and beyond in sending photos of their work on previous jobs. We are so happy with the incredible job the team did, they worked so hard to complete the work in one day and thought about all the little things that make a big difference, like making sure they considered the aesthetics of the PVC pipe for the outside of our home so that it looked nice in addition to being functional. After inquiring for quotes from 4 different places on Yelp, I was able to communicate with 2 places. I've done a lot of work with my house and it's unbelievable how many businesses fail at communication. Out of the 2 places I communicated with and received quotes from, Sustainable Home Constructions won me over because 1) Josh always responded promptly and even followed up when I forgot to respond, 2) their price was very competitive and Josh even gave me a good deal, and 3) Josh patiently answered all my stupid questions. Josh even gave cost-saving advices like this was his own house and his own money. We're 200% satisfied with the work that was done. It was done in half the time than was expected, it looks great, and the quality is highly satisfactory. Josh came out when the job was done to make sure everything was right. I waited a couple of months to write my review, because I wanted to see if the windows were really energy-efficient. Based on the last two bills we received, our heating was used 15% less than the previous year. We just had Sustainable Home Construction replace all of our windows, including two sets of sliding glass doors. Josh was great to work with, so responsive and helpful. We did run into a hiccup with some previously installed Japanese sliders that were inside one of the doors that didn't really fit over the new windows. Even though they don't usually do the window dressings, Josh and Homero worked with us to quickly fix everything and we're really happy with how it all turned out. The new windows are great. Our HVAC system stopped working this summer. After contacting other air conditioner companies and getting outrageous estimates, I came upon Sustainable Home Construction through the Socal Gas Co website list of companies for home energy upgrades. So glad we found them. Kenny and Josh came for the initial consultation/ estimate. The estimate for new HVAC and attic insulation was cheaper than the estimates from the other companies just for HVAC. We ended up also replacing our windows and now have much more energy efficient double pane windows. We also got a attic gable vent fan but luckily they removed and refunded that since it was a bit too loud at night for us and our neighbor. They weren't pushy on getting us to sign up and were available to answer our questions either by text or email. They were really pleasant to deal with and considerate of our time and experience with the installation. They accepted credit card and participate in other financing options. Will consider getting a new roof through them when the time comes for that. read more

My home was built in 1947 and in desperate need of weatherization. After doing my research, I decided to go with Sustainable Home Construction. They are a local company and I was able to get a consult appointment with Ernie within a few days. He was professional, knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. He originally quoted me 3 days to insulate the exterior walls and attic, but they were able to get the job done in two. The workers that came out were polite, clean and very skilled in their jobs. Although the work was done in early April, yesterday was the true test, as it reached 100° outside. The difference in my house is amazing! It's like night in day.
