I called them and they immediately scheduled a technician to come out first thing today. There's no automated service with long wait times. When you call, Donna answers and is always pleasant. I had a treatment for brown shady cockroaches about two week ago and was to have the followup today. David showed up and began inspecting the work that had been done. I could see he was concerned and realized that the previous technician had done, to say the least, a minimal job. David, on the other hand, was fastidious examining the nooks and cranies in every room. He set out traps (earlier technician had put out 4) in the entire house. and sprayed every room. I live on a military installation and, due to the contract between housing and this company, they are the only choice for pest control. With that being said, they're better than the previous pest control service. However, it wasn't until Steven came out two weeks ago that we stopped seeing activity in the home. If I need to update this later, I will. But my experience to date is that they are not reputable. It took 2 weeks to get on their schedule, I left for 2 days after they initiated thermal heat and residual spray, and woke up my first morning back with bed bugs. They blamed the bugs hiding in cool places, though I am more suspect of inadequate equipment or inadequate service. I have not found them responsive except to offer a re-inspection after my "warranty" expires. The thermal treatment really should have fixed the problem, since the temperature they assured me they used is "immediate" and they reportedly maintained it for several hours. read more

I was referred to them by ClearDefense Pest Control in Charlotte NC, so I gave them my address, and card number and scheduled an appointment. They were supposed to show up today from 3:00 - 6:00 pm and they never showed up. I called them at around 5:30 pm to confirm someone was on their way and they told me they couldn't confirm, that someone would call me back. At 6:25 pm I called to complain because nobody ever showed up or called. Again they said somebody would call me back and apologized. I asked them when they would call me back and they said tomorrow at 8:00 am... this is very upsetting because I cannot continue to ask for more days off at my job in hopes that someone shows up, I could've gone to work today but instead I wasted my time waiting for them to show up. This is not their first time doing this to someone, I read the reviews and I've seen at least one other person who has had the same problem as I did. read more

Last year we went on vacation and came back with bed bugs! The techs and staff at Sustainable Pest worked with us through the nightmare. They came out quickly. I don't like writing "non-review" reviews (where I haven't received services from the company), but thought it was worth it just so others don't make the same mistakes/assumptions that I did. As I understand it, they have two service options - either a one-time treatment, or a quarterly plan (which includes an inspection and customized treatment plan). We've been dealing with the occasional roach, so I wanted to do the quarterly plan - partially for the inspection (where are they coming from!?) and partially just so I could set this up and not really worry about it. I scheduled the inspection from 9-10 this morning (needed to be at work by 10:30, so figured that left me plenty of time). Called at 9:15 when no one was at my house, and learned that "from 9-10" means an arrival window between 9 and 10 but "he should be there soon". Called back at 9:40 to cancel when the guy still hadn't arrived - I didn't want him to be rushed, and I needed to leave by 10:05 or 10:10 at the absolute latest. The girl offered to reschedule me for the afternoon (with a new arrival window) but I declined. Their service might be great, but I just don't understand why companies can't give you an appointment time (especially at 9 am, which I assume is probably the first or second appointment of the day!). read more

I reached out to Sustainable Pest Systems to come out to spray our rental property before we put it on the market for sale. The guy was very responsive with messages through Yelp. I was able to get a last minute appointment without any issues. They gave me an estimated arrival time, and showed up on time. Two guys came out. One guy was in training, and the other technician seemed to be doing a great job and was patient with explaining procedures, etc to him. Both were VERY friendly. They explained their findings and discussed the plan with me. There are many pest control companies out there, but I chose these guys because they use eco-friendly, nontoxic applications. Also, shout out to Donna, who works in the office. She was so warm and friendly. I'm very pleased, and would certainly recommend them to my friends. Thanks guys! read more
