We tried some of the ice cream flavours to see if we liked anything and the vegan passionfruit ice cream was incredible. We eventually settled on a slice of the Chocolate Walnut pie and let me tell you, it was incredible! The worker was so friendly, answered any questions I had, and even offered some recommendations. I tried: - Dutch Cookie - Strawberry Miso Butterscotch - Salted Caramel - Cornflake Maple - Housemade "Oreo" - Vanilla Bean They were all good & not super sweet! They are very generous with their servings for such a good price. The rest of my party all had pies with ice cream. The pies are warmed up, so they make the perfect combination with the ice cream. There's not much seating inside, but we were able to sit in the few seats they did have to enjoy our food. We all had a great dessert on a sunny Sunday post-lunch.

We knew immediately this was going to be a special night. We went all in with the chef's prix fixe menu, and it delivered from the very first bite. Warm, homemade dinner rolls -- fragrant with thyme, garlic, and chili flakes, served alongside pillowy whipped butter -- set the tone perfectly. We loved them so much we asked for a second basket without a moment's hesitation. The Sonoma County Organic Salad that followed was nothing short of a revelation: crisp Little Gem lettuce, Pioneer Micro Herbs and edible flowers, beautifully shaved vegetables, whipped fromage blanc, and a Green Goddess dressing that tied it all together with effortless elegance. Perfection is the only word for it. For our entrées, the Petrale Sole Meunière was a masterclass in refined, soulful cooking -- the Costeaux sourdough croutons, potato fondant, haricot verts, and caper beurre noisette working in perfect harmony. And the pork porchetta with nduja? Cooked flawlessly, bold, deeply satisfying, and utterly memorable. We paired the meal with the Valette Rosé of Pinot Noir, which has instantly earned a place among the finest rosés we've ever tasted -- vibrant, nuanced, and a dream with every course. Dessert brought the ItsNotA 'Snickers Bar' and the Almond Frangipane, both executed brilliantly and the ideal sweet finale to an extraordinary meal. Valette isn't just a great restaurant -- it's our new favorite dining destination, full stop. We'll be back, again and again.

The brisket pizza is a standout dish, featuring smoky, tender brisket layered over a perfectly crisp crust with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. The chorizo adds a flavorful kick in dishes where it's featured, bringing a rich, savory depth that complements the other ingredients beautifully. The local cheese board is another must-try, showcasing a thoughtful selection of regional cheeses accompanied by fresh accompaniments that elevate the tasting experience. The service is warm, attentive, and professional. Staff members are knowledgeable about the menu, offer excellent recommendations, and make guests feel genuinely welcome throughout the meal. The ambiance is inviting and stylish, with comfortable seating, warm lighting, and a lively yet relaxed atmosphere that works equally well for date nights, family dinners, or gatherings with friends. The bar program is equally impressive. Overall, this restaurant excels in every category--delicious food, attentive service, a welcoming ambiance, outstanding brisket pizza, flavorful chorizo offerings, a well-curated local cheese board, and expertly crafted old-fashioned cocktails. It's a place well worth visiting again and again.

Their rooftop dining area is really nice, lots of couch seating and cute booths. It's nicely covered, and there are fans, so it would be great on a hot day. The views were really lovely and it felt great to be above it all! We ordered a couple of appetizers, including the brussels sprouts and shrimp ceviche, and I had one of the cocktails. We also got one of their pizzas, choosing the one with chicken ranch. Everything was delicious and served promptly. I saw for larger groups, they had some nice couch areas. It would be a fun place to hang out with a group of people.

The girls that helped us out were both friendly but we ended up asking for the Happy Hour menu 3 times before we actually got one. We decided to split the Happy Hour Pepperoni pizza bites and Bucatini Amatriciana. The pizza was a good portion, especially for the $8 price tag but the portion size on the pasta was a little small. The pizza and past were both very good but the pork on the pasta was mostly just big chunks of fat. I thought they were pieces of artichoke hearts at first. The best thing about our experience was Jesus. I believe he is the bar manager here. He happened to be standing off to the side of the bar when he heard me ask the bartender a question about the Carajillo Old Fashioned. I like coffee drinks, even though I don't drink coffee, but I find the Carajillo a bit one note. He explained about the layer of flavors in the drink and it convinced me to give it a try. It was indeed good. Then I noticed a bottle of Suze amaro at the end of the bar and I mentioned how I had heard about this Amaro and always wanted to try it. I asked Jesus to come up with a drink using Suze and he ended up making a kind of Suze French 75 that was very interesting. Overall great experience but Jesus was what made it really special.

Pizzando - Healdsburg…read more Healdsburg was quiet that afternoon. One restaurant had just closed, another bagel shop locked its doors early while someone scrubbed the counters inside. We were hungry and out of options, so we wandered into Pizzando. It looked decent enough. We sat outside next to the the sidewalk, by the street, half enjoying the Sonoma sun, half fighting off flies and truck noise. The fig and blue cheese pizza sounded like something crafted with intent...pancetta, blue cheese, ricotta, arugula, pear, balsamic. Forty-five minutes later, it showed up missing the pancetta. The server shrugged, wandered off, and returned with a plate of cubed pancetta like it was some kind of peace offering. We topped the pizza ourselves. It wasn't bad...sweet, salty, creamy...but the rhythm was off. The focaccia showed up late, the pacing sloppy, the whole experience just slightly out of tune. They knocked two bucks off the bill, a gesture as thin as the crust. Pizzando isn't terrible. It's just the kind of place that reminds you how fragile a good meal is...how easily it can all go sideways when the kitchen forgets what's supposed to be on the pizza. We won't be back.
