The food, the vibe, and the hospitality were all authentic in every possible way with this place. In fact, merely writing that sentence just activated major salivation and I have no control over it. This unassuming hole in the wall served up the best fried chicken I've had in years, the sweet potato pizza was eye-poppingly delicious, and their wings made me reconsider my previous indifference to anything other than a whole chicken. The lady I assume to be the owner is sweet and friendly, and the radish and cabbage salad gave me life. Need I say more? No. I just need to get back here.

Writing review while in restaurant. Came here randomly. Very reasonable price for a family meal, pizza was excellent and wings good. Service was friendly and good. Will definitely come back.

We got the 14" sweet potato pizza with the sweet potato mousse in the crust and half crispy fried and half sweet garlic chicken. For 3, this was more than enough food. The sweet potato pizza was incredible! The crust was slightly doughy and soft. I love the sauce on it and the mozzarella was just the right amount. Not sure I'd get it with the sweet potato mousse again, but I would come back for the regular sweet potato pizza. The fried chicken was decent but I've had better. The chicken was moist and lightly fried but not very well seasoned. The sweet garlic was slightly better. However with all the other Korean Fried Chicken shops nearby, I probably won't be back The meal was pretty good- I would maybe come back for the pizza but not the chicken

    Sweet Potato Stuffed Crust Pizza

I was in the mood for pizza and since I heard a lot about the Sweet Potato Pizza here, I knew I had to try it. When I called to make an order, the person who answered stressed to get the Sweet Potato Stuffed Crust Pizza (aka the "premium" one). And when I walked in to pick up the 14" pizza, the same person who answered my call earlier claimed again how Sweet Potato Stuffed Crust Pizza was great because their crust had sweet potato filling. I was excited to try it since this person couldn't stop raving about the "premium" pizza. Unfortunately, it was less than average. The overall pizza was bland and carb-heavy. As for the "premium" crust, it was basically mashed sweet potatoes lacking salt. It was so heavy that we had to remove the mashed sweet potatoes before eating the crust. I wouldn't return to try the pizzas here, but may for the fried chicken.

Visited and loved the fried chicken, pizza, and all the good things about it. We did the Fried Chicken and Potato Pizza combo and it was delicious. Visited back in 2017 when this photo was taken and it appears that in 2020 there might be a few changes. LOVED the service, the food, and the place. Hope to return again.

I highly recommend this place if you are in the area and looking for a simple, yet still delicious bite. And what a fascinating combination of food! Chicken and pizza? Who would have thought of it. Plus, the place itself is totes adorbs. Highly recommend! Bobby Yoe OUT.

FYI, would've probably rated this a 3.5 if I could. This place satisfies my craving if I want some Korean pizza and chicken. I've only ever ordered the sweet garlic chicken wings and sweet potato pizza. (Usually I get the combo with 10" pizza, $19.99). This is more than enough for 2 people, btw. I think it will feed 3-4 depending on how hungry you are. The sweet garlic sauce wings were good, but I do agree with other yelpers that it is drenched it a bit too much sauce. The pizza can be good if the potatoes are sweet. If they're not, there's not really much flavor I feel like. It's just OK. Service: Decent, they don't really speak much English so as long as you get what you need then you're ok I guess. Don't expect this to be a 5 star restaurant lol. It's very fast-food like. You go in, you order, you get your food, you eat, you leave. Or you can just get it to-go. Interior: Small, it can get crowded quickly since there aren't many tables available. I think most people just get their food to-go instead of staying there to eat. Not bad, but not excellent. Worth a try if you're in the area and pricing is pretty reasonable for what you get. I wouldn't drive all the way back to eat there though.

Really great spot! They offer complementary peanuts and side dishes along with your chicken and/or pizza! The atmosphere is great and the people are very kind. I highly recommend the sweet potato pizza! The sweet and spicy wings were a little grainy, but still so good! They also serve draft beer!

Our main reason for choosing this location for Korean style pizza and fried chicken was because of the location. We had not ventured this far North out of Duluth, and I did not even know that there was another massive Assi plaza in Suwannee. The map is not correct when mapping to this location, so be careful. The overall feeling of Cho-gat-jip reminds me of a Pizza Hut from the 80's. The décor and menus are very commercial because they have 1,200 franchise locations worldwide. http://www.cheogajip.co.kr Of course, we had to try the Korean style "peecha." Which had corn, all kinds of other stuff, and then sweet potato mouse rolled inside the outside crust. The overall flavor was not as sweet as I was expecting, which is good. After watching some of my favorite North Americans in Korea pizza special, I was worried I might not like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TA5jB174fg But, it was delicious! However, ordering just the plain Bulgogi version within nothing in the crust is very boring--- so I like adding some Bulgogi to the sweet potato crust for a few extra bucks. The chicken is super crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. I ordered the "Sweet and Spicy" sauce, which is really freakin' spicy! And, I eat ultra-spicy food on a daily basis. I recommend getting the chicken plain and getting the sauces on the side, just in case. They don't just serve wings, but also have whole fried chicken, which is best served with an ice cold pitcher of beer. So, you can treat this place as a Hof or as a family pizza place. Either way, it is an experience.

The shrimp were delicious and prepared just like I'm used to. This dish is lightly battered fried shrimp with a soy sauce bases sauce with red pepper and black pepper spices. It also features other sautéed veggies like green peppers and onions. The shrimp were spiced nicely, but also had the flavor of black pepper coming through. A lot of places don't get that right. The perfect mix of that spice red pepper heat and hint of black pepper are exactly why I love about this dish. The shrimp were fried perfectly and the veggies deliciously sauted. The Haemul Jjampong was a flavor and spice bomb. The broth was so flavorful and had a great essence of the seafood in it (squid, mussels, abalone). This soup is also for people not afraid of the spice...it was SPICY, but no so much that it was unenjoyable. The spice complemented the flavor and I loved it. The take-home of the leftovers was just as good the next day! If I had to say anything that they might think of changing, would be the addition of kimchi to the banchan. The banchan was ddanmuji (pickled radish, raw white onions, marinated white onion slivers, and soy marinated peanuts). A little plate mat kimchi to wrap around the Jjampong noodles would be perfection.

Otherwise you'll end up in the gas station. First of all, this place is HUGE compared to the other locations. Super clean, new furniture, it's just pleasant to be there. Really generous with the banchan. I love the banchan there, it's 4 different kinds but all of them complement the food you eat. I was on a tear last night. Ordered the teokbokki as an appetizer. Then went with the soondubu ramen combination with beef bulgogi. First of all, the ramen is definitely a big portion, combined with the tofu it's a lot. Medium spicy is good enough unless you like sounding like you're a recovering drug addict. My goodness. I took the ramen noodles out so I could make sure I had broth left. Ate very slowly because the picked radishes were so good and the kimchi cucumbers were also killer. The teokbokki was tasty, but nothing special. Price is good, sharing is fine. But in the future I love the combo idea because you get a small skillet of beef, onions, and peppers. Sweet and savory, paired with the ramen soondubu it's a LOT. We took the rice cakes home. I can't speak any higher about the cleanliness and service here. They all pitch in, and I wonder if they knew I was going to write something because I took so many pics. Either way I believe this is the best place for tofu stew in the OTP area. Support small businesses! I'll be back!
