Met a friend for breakfast after hearing good things about Suzi's. You seat yourself and it was a little busy when we arrived. The dining area is small and feels a bit crowded. There were breakfast specials on the boards and the menu had a nice selection of breakfast items. Nothing too fancy here pretty standard selection of egg dishes, pancakes and waffles. They have some Benedicts and biscuits and gravy too. My friend had the special mushroom, pepperoni and cheese omelette with breakfast potatoes and toast. I had a breakfast bowl which included a biscuit, breakfast potatoes, sausage patties, 2 eggs and sausage gravy on top.(I ordered the biscuit on the side to take home). It was a nice size portion and the sausage patties were crispy on the edges. I was disappointed with the size of the biscuit, but when I tried it the taste was good. The gravy had a decent amount of sausage in it and tasted good. Service was good and even though it took a while for our server to come over, we knew they were busy and our food came out pretty quickly.

My wife and I had a WONDERFUL experience here a couple days ago. Susie's is a neat little place with only a few tables but we were treated very well and had an excellent meal. I did not catch our servers name but she was on point, polite and very friendly. The restaurant was very clean and well maintained and we could tell that the owner and employees really cared about providing a great experience for their guests. We ordered eggs Benedict, a ham and cheese omlette and shared an order of biscuits and gravy. Everything was excellent and prepared as requested. A+++ I'm glad we decided to give Susie's a try and we will DEFINITELY be back! Thank you for a great breakfast.

Went for lunch last week with my sister. The inside is like a typical diner but I didn't care for the back room so we moved up front and it had more light and was cheerful. I could tell our waitress was very experienced and good. I ordered the chicken and biscuits and Italian wedding soup. The soup was just awful! It was thick and like jello with no flavor with tons of pasta and the meatballs were the size of quarters. I told the waitress it was not good and the owner came over and said she would take it off the bill which I did appreciate. The chicken and biscuits were alright but nothing special. The thought I would try desert because the meal was disappointing to that point, got the chocolate lava cake which was not homemade but tasty with 3 scoops of ice cream and whip cream ( huge).

So the place looks like it would have amazing food. I love the decor and the little cute Diner appeal. But when the drinks and food came out it was very disappointing. It says all over the menu that the corned beef hash is homemade but it's clearly from a can and they definitely had cans of corned beef on a shelf in the kitchen that you can look in through window. And if you see in my other reviews I definitely know my homemade corned beef and love it. The toast was nothing special and everybody knows how to flip an egg or two. I ordered an orange juice and it was a child size at an adult price. Meh most likely wouldn't return.

Came here to check out the new menu... now known as Suzie's Cafe... ordered the special which was a Rueben panini with Mac salad. It was so so sooooo good! The remodeling is so aesthetically pleasing to the eye! I would say definitely check out this place, it's a hidden gem in Lakeland. 10/10 rating, staff is amazing.

I'm not in Syracuse area often, but I came here over the summer and I fell in love with the food and the environment, the service was awesome they were very nice and refilled our coffee without us having to ask. I highly recommend stopping here.

This was the best diner breakfast I've had in a very long time. I'll get my one grouse, not a complaint, out of the way first. The rye bread didn't have seeds. But... The coffee was fresh ground. The pot emptied so fast it was always fresh brewed. I'm a weird coffee person, and that was the best cup out of a Bunn maker I've ever had. The scrambled eggs were properly cracked from the shell, not from a bucket. The sausage patty was made with a mild breakfast sausage, hand formed from loose sausage. Home fries were cooked on the grill with enough peppers and onions to qualify as a serving of vegetables. (My wife approved.) If that is not old school enough for you, the rye toast was grilled, not toasted. Service was great, and the coffee cup never was empty. The parking lot in back is small, so if you have a large vehicle do yourself a favor and park across the street. We went on a Sunday morning. The place was full, but tables turned over quickly enough that we didn't wait. One nice touch, the bowls for creamers and jam were Syracuse China. You have to love a diner that is home town proud. And the breakfast is so good it is worth the few minutes drive off the highway.

Rise N Shine has such cute decor! I love the entrance and the overall aesthetic. The restaurant uses a QR code menu just FYI. There's also a parking lot which seemed like it would get full quickly if on a busier day. Our waitress was Karen (?) and she was very sweet. We ordered the Hot Honey Chicken and waffles (without gravy cause they ran out) and the Basic "B" with an extra side of hash brows. The chicken and waffles was pretty tasty! The waffles were light and airy and the chicken was moist with a nice crunch. I'm not sure how the gravy would've affected the texture but it was definitely delicious without it. The Basic B was standard, the bacon was apple smoked and thick. The pancakes were yummy, they came with a cinnamon butter which was perfect for the pancakes. And the hash browns were nice and crispy. Overall I really enjoyed trying this place out as it has been on my list! I will definitely come back again!

Great atmosphere. Great service. Great food…read more I googled some restaurants near me and oh my darling caught my attention. Inside it's rustic and modern at the same time. Very large space and tables are well spaced out to give everyone some privacy. I wanted to specifically make it for the lunch because I wanted to try the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes which came with greens and a side of protein. I choose potatoes. I also ordered a peach Bellini drink. Delicious!!! Definitely hit the spot. The food portions are big so I couldn't finish all my food but if I had space in my stomach I would have licked the plate clean. The staff is friendly. Someone who I assume is the owner was walking around greeting guests. My server was great really payed attention to his guests. I am only visiting Syracuse, but I would love to come back when I'm back!

Walking through the restaurant was nice as the space was very large and the decor indoor was cozy and whimsical. Our server was nice throughout the meal. However, I did get a water glass that had marks on it that looked like someone just drank out of it and a crumb on the rim. I asked them if they could get me a clean cup and they ended up bringing the same one as the same mark and crumb were still there. For food, our table ordered a few items to share. We got: -CAULIFLOWER WINGS: The chutney/salsa on top of the fried cauliflower was nice and gave the item a little sour kick. However, the cauliflower itself was not cooked fully so not as soft as I wanted it to be. -SYRACUSE POUTINE: The appearance of the poutine was not the best. However, the gravy it came with was very flavorful and tasty. The potatoes themselves were not fried and were in wedge form but went well with the gravy. The small globs of melted cheese on top were a nice complement. -CAJUN SLIDERS: The slider compliments/sauce went well together but the sliders themselves had grill marks on it which gave a bitter bite to those parts of the slider. Additionally, the fried shrimp inside of the slider still had the tail on and so it was a bit of a surprise to bite into a full tail while eating a slider. All in all, a cute spot to see people but food had some hit or miss components.
