I gave this place another chance about 2-3 years later. I will start by saying it's good food, pretty normal stuff for hibachi. About 3 years ago we came here a few times, it was close to home and prices were reasonable. However we took extended family here once and found roaches walking around where we would eat. So I hadn't returned here until Recently (no roaches now) . Just from our previous experience though, this place doesn't scream yes to us anymore. Sake Hibachi Sushi & Bar is located off Debbie on the corner of 287, serving the city of Mansfield with Hibachi dining and Japanese American favorites. We came through on a Friday night right before 8 and were seated at the Hibachi grill instantly. Inside, the restaurant was fairly packed, but a lot of the guests were just eating sushi and off the regular menu. The menu has a wide range of eating options that serve sushi, soups, and Hibachi style dining. We ended up getting the grilled lobster, fish, and filet mignon. The dish also came with a clear soup and a small side salad. It also came with grilled shrimp skewers and edamame. Soon after we placed our orders, more guest continued to sit around us and placed their orders as well. Once everyone's orders were placed, the chef came to our table and warmly greeted us and began to show his magic on the griddle. The show was quite nice, and he definitely did some amazing tricks cooking for all the guests at once. Once the food was ready to be eaten, he used his spatula to put it on each guests plate from the grill and continued to cook each and everyone's food. The fried rice was simple and full of flavor with fluffy eggs and a fire grill aroma. The lobster was buttery and grilled to perfection with a nice snap back when biting into the succulent crustacean. The fish and grilled shrimp were cooked perfectly along with the filet mignon, and all 3 melted in my mouth while I devoured my dinner. The ambiance inside was fast-paced with multiple chefs on different grills. There were flames of fire everywhere you looked, with spatulas hitting the grills. The food was priced fairly, and the service was standard. The portions were decent and were just about the right amount for each set meal. We were also given to go boxes as we left since there was so much food from our meal. This is a great restaurant in the area, and I recommend it to anyone looking for something new to try. read more

Portions for hibachi are MASSIVE. I've got unusually high metabolism and this last round I licked my plate clean, but I'm the only one who did. I had scallops, salmon, veggies, shrimp, fried rice, miso, salad, rainbow roll, and hot sake. Last time I did that I went home with most of my meal. My rando table took nearly everything with them. I love myself a good hibachi! Normally, I got close from my house, my friend said you have to try this one that we found so I went over to Mansfield try out Sake. It was an amazing experience. That steak and scallops. And of course the fried rice because what would a hibachi be without fried rice. Chef was very amusing, and did all the cute tricks, like the onion volcano and breaking an egg over the spatula. But what was more exciting was how tasty all the food was, also their beverages, they were awesome. We will definitely be going back. read more

Sake hibachi it's right up the street from my work so we love coming here for lunch. If we're in a hurry, we sit on the sushi side and are able to get in and out really quickly. If we are celebrating something or have a little more time, we enjoy the hibachi side. The food is always consistently good and they have a very large menu of both hibachi items and sushi rolls. Staff is always very sweet and helpful and take great care of us. Just keep in mind if you're going to go to the hibachi side, it is going to take a little bit longer than your typical meal so make sure you have time to enjoy it. read more

We came on a Tuesday night, and the place was packed, but we were sat in about 15 minutes with no reservation. Peter, our chef, was terrific, we enjoyed the show, he was very friendly, and the portions were large. I ordered the shrimp & scallops dinner plate with fried rice, and it was delicious! No extra sauce is needed; however, the two that they provide do pair well with the dish. Overall, it's a great time with good food here, so you can't go wrong. I set up a reservation in Wed for Sat. We get there and everyone is present at 6:30. After everyone else was seated they then seat us at 7:15. We sat there for 45 minutes at the hibachi before chef came. He was so rushed food wasn't what we had in past. Needless to say for what we paid for a party of 8 I will not be returning. They are under staffed and food quality has gone way down. Not to mention they didn't even honor the reservation made. read more

Second time we have come here and they haven't done us right. We drove a hour from Cleburne the first time for to go and our meal wasn't right. We called once we got home and they said to come back next time for a free meal. So just left and they wanted to charge us for the entire meal again after driving from Cleburne AGAIN. They were not polite about it at all. Only wanted to comp $4 for missing rice when that was more than what was wrong. They barley speak English and have horrible customer service.
