Everything here is about $3.95 we had 2 adults and a toddler in our party and finished 18 plates including 2 desserts. When I realized you could see what was in *most* of the rolls by clicking on their description, it was admit like a small form of entertainment trying to guess what was in the roll and then cross checking with the iPad to order. We ordered a variety of things including multiple nigiri pieces, California roll, tiger roll, green tea cheesecakes and mango mocha ice cream. I liked everything I tried! My son really loved the presentation of all the food and he enjoyed eating here. While on vacation, me and my friend decided to stop here since we were both craving some sushi! He was recommended this place by another friend, so we gave it a try. Right off the bat we were greeted by a friendly worker. He looked like he was alone, and the place was quiet. It sounded like someone was playing music through the phone from their speaker; so there was some faint noise. The place looked nice still though, and we were immediately sat down. The main plates on the sushi belt were 3.95, and we both had a couple of plates. The food was good; I have no complaints on that part. However, when we ordered on the tablet for specific plates, we found ourselves waiting way too long between orders. It took us about 10 minutes for one of my plates only, and then another 10 minutes for the rest of the plates. We also kept eye on the conveyor belt, but we noticed it was scarce with plates. Coupled with the speed, it felt extremely slow for us to keep enjoying the space when it took a long time to get our sushi. In the end, my friend had ordered two basic salmon plates that we ended up not getting after 20 minutes. We asked for it to be taken off our check, to which our waiter kindly agreed. I really hate to leave this kind of feedback because I've been to this location many times and have always loved both the service and the sushi. Unfortunately, during my visit today, I found an eyelash in my sushi, which was very upsetting. After noticing this, I looked into the kitchen and saw one of the workers with long hair who was not wearing a bonnet or gloves. I understand that mistakes can happen, but finding hair in my food and then noticing what appeared to be a lack of proper food-handling precautions made me uncomfortable. I took my daughter out after school and we had the BEST time! The pictures of the food and small portion make it great for kids. She and I both liked the food, but the experience was definitely the best part. Me and my fiance have been here before to eat and we enjoyed it for the experience but the food wasn't the best. We decided to come back last week for a date night and the experience was worse than before. There was never enough rolls out or a huge variety coming around and that takes away part of the fun having to actually order stuff. I honestly wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised by my visit. There are two levels of conveyer belts. You can grab anything on the 1st level for $3.95 a plate. The second level is for orders you place on the iPad, which I preferred those menu items. The rolls were ok, but I enjoyed the nigiris much more. My favorite were the seared scallops! The seared salmon and beef are also honorable mentions, although the sear was inconsistent, and in some instances, the sear was very weak. I observed some dishes were hastily constructed, which I suppose is what you have to sacrifice for convenience. However, I didn't mind that much as the overall taste was still solid, and the prices were fair. I would come back again! I used to eat here at least once a week. I like the people who work there and the owner/manager has always been very nice to us. However, I may have gone for my very last time as of today. I always order from the iPad and did so again today. After being the first customer of the day and waiting 30 minutes, the last 2 items I had just ordered came to my table. And other tables who arrived much later than me were getting their food. However, the other 8 items I had ordered when I first sat down, never arrived. Once I asked the waiter about our order, he checked and said there was a technical issue and they had never received our items. No apology, no nothing. I told him to cancel my order and that we were leaving. I honestly hate that this happened, but the problem is, it happens almost every time I go. They either lose my ticket or my ticket doesn't get printed or even items and sauces are left off of my rolls. There is always something the forget. I have blown it off in the past. This time, I plan to never go back again. Which is disappointing, since it allows me to get items in smaller amounts and get a better variety. I love the sushi restaurant... The little train that delivers your food to you is very nice... The sushi that revolves is replaced frequently and has a cover so that you don't have another buddy else coughing on your stuff, and everything's tasty. Occasionally, it's hard to get service from a server you know to refill your tea or things... But the delivery of your sushi and everything is done automatically through the ordering app that's at your table and so that's pretty fast. read more

I've always passed by Akari but never thought to try until recently. I'm so glad that I did. The inside aesthetics are nice, very clean. Once we were seated, we were told that you can use the touchscreen TV to order specific dishes or just grab what you like from the revolving conveyer belt. It's so cool to see the food we ordered zoom down and stop right in front of your table. All the food we ordered tasted great. There were so many sushi, desserts, and fruit options to choose from, and if you aren't a seafood lover, the chicken teriyaki and potstickers tasted great and well. Always a fun experience dining at any revolving sushi. I've been to three different establishments now around the DFW but the one that I really liked closed down due to the pandemic. Although the other 2 options are still up that alley, this one is just too far from me. Their plates are very comparable to the more famous one but I think Akarii is a little cheaper. I'm not sure if it was just that day or when it's not that busy that the nigiri's aren't readily available on the belt. Don't get me wrong this is actually more of what I like since it's not just sitting there for a long while until somebody grab it. It's more fresher when you order it when you want it. The process is pretty simple! You can grab rolls/dishes off the conveyor belt as they pass your table OR you can use your table's tablet to order. Buyer Beware I have visited many time and was very pleased in the past but that was always accompanied by a male escort. The one time I went alone the sashimi tuna was very stingy therefore it was difficult to swallow. I made the waiter aware of the situation and he said the chef stated leaving it in a stringy state is the chef's discretion. The bill came to $25 but the next day Without my consent Akarii had added a $5 tip for food difficult to swallow, I never agreed to a tip. We went last night around 8pm. Our server was nice but not very attentive. The food however was mediocre at best. We started with egg rolls off the conveyor they were gross, cold mushy. Definitely where on there for hours. Ordered fried squid came out super hot but the squid was so tough I literally couldn't bite through it. All the rest of our plates stayed on this sad par. Thought about trying this new place out in Grand Prairie Texas since we had went to Waxahachie for a business purpose and didn't know much about the area. Akarii Revolving Sushi was opened in Oct 2019 and had to closed down during the Pandemic. Thankfully, they were allowed to open again back in May/June 2020. Finding the place was easy and it was tucked into the corner of the off ramp as you come off the main freeway there. There are plenty of parking spaces especially since there are a few other eatery adjacent to Akarii. No parking issues here. From the outside, you can definitely identify the building structure as the name and logo of the establishment is tall and displayed in a mighty way. Main entrance is through the double panel door where the lovely host will gladly help you to get seated or write your name down on their waitlist. Before you're allowed to enter the dinning room, they check your temperature via the temperature mirror reader pad on the wall where you need to face a camera that reads your temperature. The host will hand you off to the waitress/waiter if you are cleared! Pretty neat temperature check technology. Once inside the dinning hall, you can already sense the awesomeness of REVOLVING SUSHI::The art of moving sushi placed on a small dish on a conveyor style platform all across the dinning hall from one table to another!! You pick up the sushi that you want and you simply add the plates when you are done at checkout. I've been to a lot of revolving sushi places from SoCal to Vegas to Utah, but I've never been to one where not only the revolving sushi places on a dish in the conveyor style belt, but you can also order it on an IPad-Style order menu and it gets "bussed" via a bullet-train moving platform DIRECTLY to your table; no waitress/waiter involved!!! THAT IS PRETTY AWESOME!! Anyhow, the sushi was great especially when they are freshly made. I ordered the Takara's PLUM WINE which paired so well with many of the sushi dishes we ate from the sashimi to the Nikuri and even the rice rolls. The seaweed salads was also a great dish as well. So many to name and critique on. Simply put, this place was awesome. Tucked away in the hills of Grand Praire, don't let this standalone location fool you into thinking otherwise. I was there. The spicy scallops were almost frozen/cold/hard and tough to chew. Definitely was not expecting that when I got the order. We ordered everything off the ipad( which we had a hard time with the touch pad because it wasn't scaled correctly. You have to push at a certain corner just right to get it scroll to the next page) the rice was cold so either they grabbed it off the belt or they just serve cold rice.
