It's the best place in Vegas. That's all I'm Going to say. JUST GO. BYE ! Food -10/10 Ambiance -100/10 Service - UNRIVALED

The food was mediocre overall. The steaks weren't anything special. I'm honestly not sure how it's possible to make an octopus dish underwhelming, but they managed to do it. While the grilled octopus itself was tender, the sauce just didn't work. The ravioli, on the other hand, was unexpectedly good. The sauce was absolutely divine and easily the highlight of the meal. The steaks were just okay. I actually visited about 15 years ago, and if I remember correctly, I had the same impression back then. The service was excellent, and the ambiance is incredibly romantic, especially with the view of the Lake of Dreams. Those two alone are enough to earn this place 4 stars. For the price, though, I don't see myself coming back anytime soon.

I've been to SW Steakhouse a few times, but I honestly didn't realize how difficult it can be to get a reservation especially during a holiday weekend. Knowing we were going to be spending 4th of July in Las Vegas, I tried booking about a month and a half in advance through OpenTable, but there was absolutely no availability. I was notified that additional reservations could possibly open up seven days before our desired date, but unfortunately I waited too long and checked about four days before our trip... and everything was completely booked. We were staying at Wynn/Encore and originally had reservations at another steakhouse across the Strip, but traffic was completely stopped and we knew making it on time was not looking promising. We canceled and decided to take our chances at SW. To our surprise, even though the restaurant was fully committed, they have a great bar area with plenty of seating options not just seats at the bar, but also smaller tables for two and four. Of course, it's not the full booth-style dining experience, but honestly, our service was absolutely amazing and we still felt completely taken care of. We ordered the 36 oz bone-in ribeye to share, along with mashed potatoes and mushrooms , and everything was cooked perfectly. I also had a lemon drop martini that was amazing. From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere everything was exactly what you expect from Wynn. Wynn/Encore never disappoints. I'm so glad we decided to shoot our shot because we ended up having such a great dinner experience. Definitely recommend SW Steakhouse and if you can't get a reservation, don't be afraid to try the bar seating. You might get lucky like we did!

Went to SW Steakhouse for Mother's Day dinner and it was honestly such a good experience. The food was amazing, the patio/view at night was beautiful, and the ambiance in general was just really nice. Also wanna give a shoutout to our busser Nana because she was SO attentive the whole night and had the best personality. She really helped make the dinner feel extra special and was on top of everything without being overbearing. Loved her.

Food is amazing we split a rib eye and ravioli dish, and they even sliced the ribeye it for us. Recommend getting medium rare since it still cooks on the hot plate they serve it on. 10/10 recommend the shareable pineapple upside down cake . Mac and cheese was really good. Skip the au gratin potatoes. If you want to see the show make sure to check the time it starts by calling the restaurant Sat on the patio both visits and would do again

SW steakhouse did not just offer great food but also exceptional service. They even had a mini chair for my purse! I've been to many steakhouses, but they've all felt old. This was sexy and youthful. There was also a fountain show outside. The steak was tender, juicy, and had the right amount of char. I appreciate they cut the steak into pieces. The sides were great supporting cast members. Definitely recommend. 10/10

11/10 dining experience. Came here for dinner and ended up with one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Everything from the food to the service to the view with a water show was outstanding. From the moment we were directed to our seat until we reluctantly concluded our meal, we were treated like the only guests in the restaurant. With a full patio, the atmosphere and attention to detail is unmatched by any other steakhouse we have visited. Unlike other steakhouses in vegas, you are treated to wonderful waterfall shows while waiting for your meal. Amazing vocals and visual effects had the whole audience locked in. The star of the show was the bone in rib eye. Juicy with the perfect crust, it was flavorful and presented nicely. Thank you SW and we will 100% be returning.

Was invited to this dinner last minute for a business dinner and loved the ambiance! I really felt fancy when I walked in and believe this may be one of the best restaurants I have been to concerning fanciness. . Now for the food, the seafood tower was great! Can never go wrong with seafood. The leg of bone, bone marrow was too much for me... I thought the flavor was not there and I am just not a fan of marrow in general. . The salads looked fantastic and my sea bass was amazing!! Overall, for a steak restaurant I think this place is quite good and the service is held to a high standard... but I am a foodie and feel there are so many other restaurants in Las Vegas and I wanted something other than steak and seafood. . The bread was fabulous, the seafood great but would have loved something a little more unique and special for such a nice restaurant!

I had high expectations for SW Steakhouse at the Wynn, but unfortunately the service fell well short of what you'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The evening actually started off well. The server handling our beverages was attentive, friendly, and kept our drinks filled despite it being a busy Saturday night. No complaints there. The problems started after our food order was taken. Our food server took our order, stopped by once for a quick "How is everything?" shortly after the food arrived, and then essentially disappeared. After finishing dinner, our party of four sat with empty plates for at least 20 minutes without anyone checking on us. By this point, the restaurant had noticeably cleared out. What made it more frustrating was that I saw our food server look over at our table and say something to the drink server during this long stretch. It genuinely felt like he had no interest in coming back to our table. We were a party of four with a bill of around $450, and the level of attention we received simply didn't match the setting. Eventually, the drink server returned with the dessert menu. We believed we had ordered the crème brûlée through him, but somewhere there was a miscommunication and he thought we were still deciding. Then...nothing. Another 30 to 40 minutes passed without anyone returning. Finally, a woman came by, (my impression was because we'd been seated well beyond our allotted dining time) and asked if we wanted dessert. I explained that we had been waiting because we thought our dessert order had already been placed, and that this was now the second extended period where no one had checked on us. She apologized and entered the order. At that point, I assumed things would improve, especially after we had explained what had happened. Unfortunately, they didn't. Our desserts were delivered, but once again no one came back to check on us. Another 25 to 30 minutes passed before I had to ask someone to get a manager. As the manager walked over, I watched him stop and speak with both of our servers while they looked toward our table. When he arrived, I jokingly said, "Well, I know you've already been briefed." He denied it, saying they were discussing another table. Maybe that was true, but from where we were sitting, it certainly didn't appear that way. I explained the entire experience from start to finish. To his credit, he apologized and comped three drinks and one dessert, which I appreciated. However, while the gesture was nice, it didn't change the overall experience. The disappointing part is that a week earlier we had a dinner at an Outback Steakhouse, where a young server provided similar service (which I said at the time that's what you would expect from a outback) . I never expected to leave SW Steakhouse at the Wynn feeling like the service experience was comparable, or arguably worse. For a restaurant with SW's reputation and pricing, you're paying for more than just excellent food. You're paying for exceptional hospitality. Unfortunately, that's not what we received. I don't mind spending money for a great dining experience, but this simply wasn't one.

This Cheesecake was extremely creamy and decadent. Not too sweet. Probably one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had !

I'm late, writing this review. We came to SW Steakhouse after we got married. This restaurant delivers professionalism and top tier service. We ordered a variety. The seafood tower, Mashed potatoes and steak to share. And to add something special, we were given a complimentary creamy cheesecake to congratulate us. Everything was so good! I also enjoyed the dim lighting which made it romantic. Thank you again, we'll be returning :)

Grilled Faroe Islands Salmon (too oily, do not recommend)

Finally made it to SW Steakhouse after many trips to Vegas, and I genuinely cannot believe I waited this long. This was easily one of the best meals I have had in Vegas, and I will absolutely be back. We had a reservation but did not request an outdoor table. Once we arrived and saw how beautiful the patio was, we asked if we could get an outdoor table and let them know we were fine waiting. We were quoted about 30 minutes, but it ended up being much quicker, which was such a great start to the night. The outdoor ambiance is exactly what you want in Vegas--lively but still intimate, with strong heaters for cooler nights and a stunning waterfall show known as the "Lake of Dreams," which plays every 30 minutes starting at sunset. It really complements the high-end dining experience and makes the whole night feel special. Dinner was incredible. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including the lobster blossoms, oysters, Caesar salad, 12 oz filet, salmon, short rib ravioli, wild mushrooms, mac and cheese, fries, and the Rocky Road dessert. Our server, Antonio, suggested ordering several items as half portions (which most restaurants don't offer) which made it so easy to try a little bit of everything. The Caesar salad is huge--easily enough for four people. The filet was cooked perfectly, and Antonio even brought out a trio of complimentary dipping sauces, although it was great on its own. The short rib ravioli was a standout. I was not a huge fan of the lobster blossoms since I am not big on deep-fried foods, but I still do not regret trying them. At the end of our meal, Antonio noticed that we did not touch the salmon and offered to box it up. When we said no thank you because it was a bit too oily for our taste, he went ahead and removed it from the bill without us even asking, which was such a thoughtful gesture and really speaks to the level of service here. They also serve complimentary pretzel bread and butter, which was so good. The birthday dessert is on the smaller side, so we upgraded to the Rocky Road, and it was 100% worth it. Overall, everything was top tier. Antonio truly made the experience even better. This is definitely going to be a must-visit for me every time I am in Vegas!

I was with business partners, a total of 5 of us on this dinner. I have been fortunate enough to sample many various offerings in the resort corridor over the years and SW Steakhouse achieved a new low. We had a reservation at 7:30pm, checked in 5 minutes late but not a full restaurant so all was well. The Wynn Hotel usually sets the standard for fine cuisine and they rarely disappoint. On this particular evening they managed to disappoint to a new low, actually very impressively, as we saw a server twice in almost 2 hours. That leaves empty glasses with less revenue on the table no doubt. The mains (5) steaks came out after 1 hour and 45 minutes. An astonishing poor performance for this brand that we wondered if the kitchen was closed. The food was fine when it finally came, good taste, cooked as specified, and all of the sides were ok. The ambiance of the restaurant itself was ok, clean, well stocked restrooms, no issues there. However, the service here is on par with a Golden Corral, or less than that brand. In what world does it take 2 hours to feed 5 people on a $1k+ dinner? Was extremely disappointing, won't return anytime soon.

Ranked as one of the top steakhouses in Las Vegas, SW Steakhouse delivers an upscale dining experience at the Wynn Casino and Resort. Service and quality and top tier with attentive wait staff. The food was superb as you would expect at any high end steakhouse. My boneless prime rib was well seasoned and left me very full. The sides consisting of puree potato, tater tots and corn brulee were ok but nothing that was memorable. I would definitely reserve this place for special occasions as it offers that elegant steakhouse feel. Pro tip: when you make a reservation, ask to be seated outdoors so you can view The Lake of Dreams show that plays every half hour with different scenes. It makes for a unique dining experience.

SW Steakhouse Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - SW Steakhouse

    What's the SW stand for?

    Steve Wynn

Do they still serve the Marshmello DJ cake where its toasted tableside?

    Negative

Can you eat dinner at the bar? Would a reservation to eat at the bar be needed or would it be first come first serve?

Yes, it's a full dinner service at the bar, no reservations needed, first come, first served.

Do they still have the chili rubbed steak on the menu? Had a long time ago, and would love to order it again. However, I don't see it on their menu. I hope it's still available.

The chili rubbed steak is no longer part of the menu

    How do I eat?

In this restaurant, you eat by using a knife and fork while sitting at a table. Very traditional approach to how you eat when at a restaurant.

Can you still bring your own wine for a corkage fee?

Yes, you can. My husband and I were there recently and did this with friends over a special bottle we brought. I do not know the corkage fee.

Does this place allow children under 5 for private group dining? (I ask here because no one answers my calls or emails)

I think Wynn hotel does not allow children under 5 in any fine dining establishment, including SW. I do not think private dining matters as I was told the same rule when I was inquiring a reception dinner for my wedding at SW or Mizumi. Children…

I'm traveling alone, do they accept walk-ins?

Yes if you go early like at 5:00 pm. The bar has open seating for 6 or 8 I think.

Are kids allowed to dine in?

Yes! I saw some families dining while I was there (kids around 8-10years old). Although, I'm not sure if they have special accommodations for children.

I made reservations one month in advance prior to me coming to Las Vegas , will I be guaranteed an outdoor seating, as I requested in early June on my reservation?

You would want to call the restaurant as I don't believe they typically guarantee outdoor seating unless you have some pull or status.

Do they allow you to choose your steak?

No it's not that kind of restaurant but you may choose your cut and grade all the way up to $75. per ounce Japanese Wagyu Kobe.

Does the patio have Fans for the summer months?

    Yes

Is the patio open during the winter months? If so, is it heated well?

    Yes on both count

Can I wear opened toes high heels?

Absolutely yes!!! You can get as dressy as you want. Pre-COVID, men had to wear dress slacks. Now, they allow everything from jeans to fancy :) have fun!

Is there valet parking if you're dining at the steakhouse?

There is Valet at the Wynn where the restaurant is at.

Do they do anything special if you note on the reservation that you are celebrating a birthday or do you need to call and make a special request? I've been reading mixed reviews...

They brought a small dessert out with a candle. It was unexpected and we had an amazing experience.

Can you sit on the terrace if you have a 10pm dinner reservation?

Hello Alexis, patio seating is based upon availability. You may put in a request for patio seating upon checking in for your reservation. Thank you.

Anyone from San Diego who can comment on SW's dry aged rib eye vs Born and Raised's?

Give me 2 hours to answer

Can you bring in your own bottles of wine for a corkage fee?

Hello Michael, we allow guests to bring in wine to our restaurants only if we do not offer that bottle on our wine list. The corkage fee is $50 per 750ml bottle and $100 per magnum bottle. Maximum 2 bottles. Thank you.

Do they serve any creek stone farms steaks?

Hello Matt, We now serve Santa Carota Farm Steaks out of Bakersfield. Thank you for your inquiry and we hope to welcome you soon.

When we arrived, they took our credit card and seated us. The space itself is very small, which creates an intimate atmosphere. The dark velvet furniture and décor were beautiful and definitely gave the place a luxurious feel. Unfortunately, the music didn't match the vibe at all. It was an odd playlist with songs we didn't recognize, and it really took away from the ambiance. We ordered the Pretty in Pink and the Make It Dirty. Both drinks were just okay -- not bad, but definitely not the elevated, luxurious cocktails we were expecting. We noticed a couple people come in, have one drink, and then leave after closing out their tab. I asked one couple if they also had a minimum spend requirement, and they told me they did not, they had simply walked in without a reservation. That was frustrating considering we had committed to a reservation and the minimum spend, while walk-ins apparently were not given the minimum spend. I brought it up to our waitress, but she didn't really have an explanation. Since we weren't impressed with the specialty cocktails, we ended up ordering a bottled drink and a basic mixed drink instead. About halfway through our visit, the already strange music stopped completely, leaving the bar silent. Overall, the experience was disappointing. The interior is absolutely lovely, but everything else fell short of expectations.

I didn't try the food, so I can't comment on that, but I would definitely recommend this spot for late-night drinks and a relaxing evening watching the show. A memorable experience and one I'd happily return to.

Everybody who works there was great to be around, but she went above and beyond for us. We even snapped a pic with the 3 of us to remember this experience! The bar itself is a great vibe, very lounge-ish with interesting drinks to try. Would highly recommend anyone in the Venetian to visit Juliet when they have the chance.

Next, I would like to thank Daniel for his personal follow-up and recognize that he absolutely did take excellent care of us, when we went to visit. I am increasing my rating because it is deserved. There are many lounges everywhere you look in Vegas, so admittedly it is a very tough category to compete in and to be compared within. Juliet Cocktail Room measures up to many others where they have live music and they do have their own set of unique cocktails. It is very comfortable and the staff was quite focused on service. Admittedly, I would not spend a large amount of money just for a reserved seat here, however if you happen by and they have space available without a minimum purchase, then it is certainly a nice place to relax for a drink.

The vibes are really fun, very vibrant and there are various rooms that could offer more intimate spaces if you wanted. We were greeted pretty promptly, but the service was admittedly slow. He was attentive when around, and there was someone always coming around and filling our water, but it did take a bit to get our order in and receive our food. The food was absolutely delicious! I can't remember the name of my meal, but it had steak with chimichurri, fried plantain, pico, avocado, beans, rice and an egg. My favorite part was definitely the steak! It was perfectly cooked and the chimichurri added the best brightness that the dish needed! There are so many spots in Vegas so I'm not sure I'd come back but I definitely enjoyed it.

Every food item on the Happy Hour menu is $12, which makes it a great way to try a variety of dishes without spending a fortune in Vegas. We ordered the shrimp tacos, CHICA nachos, Firecracker Wings, quesa-birria empanadas, potato flautas, shrimp ceviche, and ahi tuna bites. Everything was absolutely delicious, and there honestly wasn't a bad dish in the bunch. One thing to keep in mind is that these truly are small plates. Don't expect a lot of food with each $12 dish. They're perfect for ordering several different things and sharing, but if you're really hungry, you'll definitely want to order multiple plates. The Firecracker Wings had a really nice kick to them. We loved the spice, but if you have a lower spice tolerance, be careful with those! Also, a heads-up about the shrimp ceviche: CHICA's version is more tomato-based rather than the bright, lime-forward ceviche you might be expecting. It was still really good, but if you don't like tomato-based ceviche, that's definitely something to know before ordering. For drinks, we tried the CHICA-Rita, Palomita, and Tommy's Margarita. They were running a 2-for-1 drink special for $21 total, which was such a great deal, especially for Vegas. Between the absolutely delicious food, fun atmosphere, and Happy Hour pricing, we really enjoyed CHICA. It's a great spot if you like ordering a bunch of small plates for the table and getting to try a little bit of everything.
