Of all the Thai spots I've tried in NYC and NJ, none come close to this spot.This was perhaps the best Thai food I've ever had. The ingredients used brought the spice complexity that makes Thai so tasty(that basil mmm). Great for take out and even better to dine in. I have tried the classic pad thai, drunken noodles and red curry chicken. The red curry was perfectly coconuty but well spiced. However, the 4 spicy level here is SPICY. I usually have the spiciest level at Thai restaurants but the 4 here was challenging to say the least. I highly recommend this place for a date night as the interior decor is nice and they offer a good variety of beer and wine. read more

the food was pretty good but not great. No cilantro or lime in the Pad Thai. These are essential. My biggest problem was the cold. We went in December and though they had an auxiliary electric heater in the corner, it was uncomfortably cold. What's the big deal with heat. If you want Thai food get it here after March. read more

Wow! Best Thai food we've eaten in a very long time! We sampled Thai dumplings, curry puffs, tiny spring rolls, Tom kha gai, cashew chicken, pork pad see ew, duck with five flavors, and crispy salmon prik khing--every single dish was unique, full of layers of flavor and the kind of complexity and nuance that carefully crafted Thai food exhibits. Best sign of a fine Thai restaurant: they won't sell you mango with sticky rice if their mango isn't ripe enough! We will recommend to our Thai-food-loving friends and we will definitely come back for more! read more

Right after we received our meal a can of cleaner was sprayed heavily on table next to us Along with windex. Was not pleasant. after arguing about why this was noxious owner said he could spray the towel away from us but with no open windows just not something I want breath. Other restaurants dip cloth in bucket of water cleaner solution so it isnt permeating the air and bring the cloth to the table. It just ruined the meal and still coughing from it. read more

Had the chicken and basil Thai hot. It was delightful and fresh. It didn't have any Thai chilis in it though. Also had the wide noodles (not drunken) that was good too. My family and I spent $60 dollars on take out tonight. It was the worst Thai I have ever eaten. The Panang sauce was watery, gritty, and flavorless. The Pad Thai noodles were mushy and tasteless. I was so looking forward to Thai and we couldn't even eat it. 3/4 of the meal was thrown in the trash. I am so disappointed. read more

Excellent restaurant! We ate lunch for the first time there on 1/31/20, and were very pleased. Friends recommended them for their food, service and atmosphere, and we agree wholeheartedly. We had one lunch special of chicken pad thai which was rich in flavor and also a thai salad with peanut dressing which was yummy. The other lunch special was massaman curry with shrimp ....amazing! and served with a curry puff (I could have eaten several of those, it was sooooo good!) . This is a really great restaurant! The curry puffs are me and my partners favorite thing here! We have been a few times and the food is always great! Highly recommend the green curry and Pad Ce Aew! Opened a week ago in spot where Thai Thai used to be. Visited on a Friday evening and the place was busy, so hopefully that will bode well for them. No liquor license yet. Not sure if you can bring your own or not. For appetizers, spring rolls and smiling a were both very good. Green curry with chicken and another dish that I can't remember the name of (with pork) were both good but the meat was a little overdone in both dishes. The pad Thai with chicken for our kids was really tasty. Service was good... Still working some kinks out but very attentive. It wasn't the best Thai I ever had but it's good food at a fair price with nice service and atmosphere, so I'll be back! read more

Authentic delicious Thai spice! :-) Our party of 6 had the following dishes in addition to spring rolls and dumplings: "Hot" (as opposed to Thai hot) Green Curry Chicken, Pad Kra Pro (Thai Basil Chicken), Pineapple Beef fried rice, Pad Thai, Lard Na chicken, and drunken noodles with Pork. Everything was fantastic although our resident spice lover was beaten by the Hot green curry chicken... My Thai Basil Chicken was a little spicier than the version I always had at our old go-to Thai place but i really liked it. Service was excellent and friendly and it's BYOB for now - liquor license in progress. We will definitely be back and you should check it out. read more

We are new to the area and were looking for a good Thai place like we had in FL. This place had yummy staples- chicken pad Thai and pineapple chicken and rice. The dumplings were good and so were the spring rolls. Everything tastes delish and we would definitely order from them again! Delivery was quick, too! *update- drunken noodles very good too- just be careful ordering your level of spiciness. We asked for the mildest possible and it still burned our mouths! So there aren't a lot of diverse eating options in Emmaus, and needless to say, we were excited when Swadee opened. We've been going there for a few years now and the quality and consistency of the food is so on point. You can tell the owners and staff really care about this place, reflected in the decor, friendliness of service and speed of the food. The homemade curry puffs and spring rolls are so damn good. So close. So very close! Their food is pretty good -- we've had most of the Thai classics there and the biggest issue is that they are overcooking the meat. Beef, chicken: dried out, sometimes tough. This is easily my favorite Thai restaurant in the Lehigh Valley. The staff is always incredibly nice, professional and attentive. Everything I get here is delicious and bursting with flavor. Some of my favorite entrees include the red/green curry, pad prik khing, pad kra theam and basil fried rice. I'm a little conflicted with this one. Upon pulling up to the front, the exterior was very pleasant. The interior was even nicer- but it was completely empty. I chalked it up to being Sunday, besides there were a few people there taking out so at least they were a little busy. The owner who introduced himself as "Myles" was nice and very accommodating. So ok let's get down to the food. I've only ever had Thai food in NY, where everything, in my opinion, is as authentic as it comes. So, from the start they had a lot to compete with. Well, let me say, that Swadee House comes close, but not quite there. Everything I ordered was missing "something". I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. They don't use MSG, but that wasn't it. It was just a little kick of spice or something. In any case, the food could have been a lot more flavorful. The Pad Thai was good, but I found myself adding stuff to it to bring it to my liking. Plus, as other reviewers pointed out, the meat was severely overlooked. The ribs that Myles swore would not disappoint, unfortunately did. They were just too bland for me. I had to drown it in the sauce that came with it to eat it, and even then it lacked something. I ate one and gave the rest to my son. The saving grace was the spring rolls. They were delicious. I could have eaten more of those and been fine. The prices are pretty steep ($12.95 for pad Thai) but if the flavors were over the top, I wouldn't mind. So it looks like it's either back to NY for my Thai food fix or I'll make my pad Thai myself- just the way I like it. read more

This is one of the few decent Thai restaurants in the Allentown area. Prices are comparable to other restaurants. Service is friendly. The place never seems too busy, so a nice place to enjoy a quiet dinner or date. The ambience is peaceful and well lit. I would rate the food as a 7/10. read more

Ordered Pad Ce Aew with chicken ($12.95) and Thai Spring rolls ($6.95) for delivery. While I think this is pretty pricey for what it was, the person on the phone was super friendly and accommodating, and the delivery was speedy :) As a caveat I live in New York City and have been to dozens of thai restaurants. With that said, I prob won't order from here again, but am extremely grateful there is "okay" thai restaurant in the Allentown/Emmaus area. The food was just that: okay. The chicken in the Pad Ce Aew was not tender and didn't have much taste to it. The Spring rolls were basic and partly soggy from the transportation. read more
