What can I say about Swadley's food that hasn't already been said? It's the best BBQ around. I love to mix their sweet and spicy BBQ sauces together and drench the chopped brisket in it. This was my first time to Swadley's. I had heard good things about the food and service from co-workers that live in OKC. I had the country boy sandwich (brisket). The meat was phenomenal, the smoke ring on the brisket alone told me it was going to be delicious. The brisket is just melt-in-your-mouth good. Its just enough fat on that brisket for it not to be dry. I'm telling ya this brisket is award winning!!! Cant wait to try the honey glazed ribs. read more

We were just driving through Oklahoma and wanted some BBQ and stopped here. We both had the brisket and sausage platter with sides. Everything was flavorful, especially the brisket. The 4 sauces were AMAZING, especially "grumpy sauce". Portion size was appropriate and the sides were yummy, maybe a little bland. The 4 stars are because I wasn't blown away by the veggie options. Very good food and good service but very expensive and not reasonably priced for big groups. We love barbecue but this place is definitely a little more than I like to spend especially if it's not a fancy dinner. I usually get the ribs which are always good and not too fatty. The kids love the free ice cream that they serve to everyone after your meal. They also have an amazing salad bar. read more

We've never had a bad meal or tried something we didn't like. Everyone in my family loves swadleys. It's the one mustang restaurant we go to on a regular basis. It's a lite pricey after kids meals though. I miss kids eat free Monday's. read more

My son and I went in to for lunch. It was right at noontime. My son ordered the 'Oklahoma Sampler' $17.99 and I ordered the catfish dinner $16.99. Our meal totaled $42.00 plus. We waited about 5 minutes for our waitress's for our drinks and another 15 for our order. Both our meals were cold. My son told me the "only thing hot was his green beans." We were so disappointed! We had to ask for our condiments. We left and before we made it home from our day out my son was ill- I suspect food poisoning! We will never eat there again. read more

One of the best restaurants that we have been to in a long time. This was just what we needed on our cross country road trip. $25 for family of four. Soft drinks and soft serve ice cream was FREE! Swadlys has improved from my last review. I've never been inside as we choose the comfort of our home. The staff has gotten friendlier, faster, and the food is top notch, tasty sides. No more Texas toast but the rolls are actually quite tasty. You do need to ask for extra bbq sauce. Not a big deal, if it were we would go inside and eat like proper people! It's pricey but it's a carnivore's delight! read more

The wife and I just had dinner there 7/21/2020 at 6pm and the server a young lady came to the Table with our food (mind you this is the only time we saw her during our meal are after until she brought a check never asking if we needed anything) Now I ordered a Cowboy Rib Eye an it was the first I ever saw without a bone and it had more Fat and Grissle than my Boots! I got maybe 5 are 6 bites out of a $30.00 piece of meat!! Do not eat a steak at Swadley's BBQ!! So after my wife finished her BBQ plate I searched the MGR out and was turned to a young lady named Gerda who Blew me Off and basically called me a liar about a bone being in a Cowboy Rib eye and then says I will let the cooprate office know! Not one time did I Gerda say I'm sorry,she just chose to tell me I was wrong and to bad! She has no people skills are personality at all like that Steak that SUCKED! We were not even offered Ice Cream, we had to get our own!! Do not eat at Swadleys in Mustang, Oklahoma!! One more thing I ordered a baked Potato Loaded I got Butter and Cheese so I asked the server about Bacon chives are sour cream to be told You have to pay extra! I had already laid a $12.00 tip on the table but after that service I only left $5.00 and wouldn't have left that if my Wife wouldn't have said so! For a $50.00 bill for Two people we should have stayed home and Flushed Fifty down the Toilet. Normally Swadly's is great. Not the case today I did not get all my order went through the drive-through. I even ask if everything was there but I was happy today I had a good day. I call and tell them they did not get all my order. And they tell me I am out of ribs who runs out of ribs apparently Swadleys does my delicious ribs went to someone else in the drive-through. They refunded my money. And I got a baked potato instead not what I wanted. So if you're going to order anything from Swadleys take the extra time and check your order open up the containers. read more

My most Favorite BBQ place. Not only is the 'cue great with multiple sauces, I especially love their sides. Service is great. Sometimes, I'll go thru the drive thru for take home. Again, great service and food. I read someone complained about the "cattle chute" drive thru lane which is a little narrow. But, still plenty of room to get it done and they didn't have any extra real estate there anyway. Try the spicy baked beans if you like some heat on great beans. read more

Meatloaf was just ok. I was dumb for ordering meatloaf at a barbecue place. Catfish was great and you get an abundance of it. All the sides are great. I could have made a meal out of the mashed potatoes. Smoked chicken is a winner!!! read more

This is mustang ok, what would you expect! The food in this joint was not that good. The 1 star is for the speed in which our pre cooked nuked food came out. If only the people in this area knew what was out there just over the 6.8 mile radius of this place they would drive the distance no matter what the price of gas to get a decent meal. read more

Swadleys is a local favorite, but I wasn't overwhelmed or impressed. They have a nice variety of sauces, but none of them knock my socks off. I got the smoked chicken breast with the salad bar and baked potato upgrades. Salad bar is nice, seemed very fresh. The chicken was good. but again, nothing amazing. The parking lot is ALWAYS full, the drive through is always busy and the food is wonderful. Family atmosphere, our whole family LOVE Swadley's regardless of the location. My husband loves to get the True Sampler and take half of it home for lunch the next day. My sons get the City Boy or the Country Boy sandwich and NEVER complain. I personally get the smoked chicken dinner EVERYTIME with "grumpy" bbq sauce (they all have names and are super tasty). They have a really good salad bar and I do not say that very often. Free ice cream for everyone who wants it after dinner, too. The prices are a little high, but we usually get a take home box or two. read more

If you're in Mustang, there aren't a lot of choices for BBQ which is unfortunate, but Swadley's is pretty solid BBQ. It can be inconsistent at times, but overall, it's good. They have greatly improved over the last few years. read more

Great food. Yummy. Friendly people. Fair prices. We had the pulled pork, ribs, tea, fries, cobbler. Only thing I would work on is staff organization. One person took our order, another gave us drinks, 2-3 diff girls assisted our table but asked us the same questions because it was unorganized. Previous reviews who gave this place one or two stars are nuts. I have enjoyed BBQ from Texas/Memphis/KC. While Swadleys is not in the top 10, it ranks pretty high. Certainly one of the better joints in OKC metro. I don't do pulled pork...so it is not factored into my rating. The brisket is tender, turkey is the best I have ever had. Sides are small but good. First let me say that Swadley's food is fantastic. I frequently dine at their locations in Mustang, Ardmore, and Foggy Bottom on Lake Murray. The Mustang location is the first my wife and I visited 10 years ago when we first moved to OK. I have catered business lunches and holiday meals from this location while managing an oilfield service company as well as lunches for clients. My wife and I usually visit when watching our grandson plays baseball in Mustang. Last night was one of those nights. We ordered and went to a table as usual. After 10 minutes we were still not recognized as even existing by any wait staff. Several made eye contact and continued to wait on other guests without acknowledging us. I was astonished to say the least being completely ignored. We decided to change sections. The same thing happened again with other wait staff. After 5 more minutes my wife got a manager. None the least I was very upset by this treatment. The manager apologized profusely and I accept her apology. However, this display of disrespect by today's youthful workforce is unforgivable as a whole. I sincerely hope that this local establishment can address and correct this issue so others of us who frequent their restaurants several times a month and have catered 10-20 times a year for groups of 50-100 for 10 years never have to feel disrespected in the future. read more
