My boyfriend and I tore the ice cream sandwich up. It was probably the best deep fried ice cream I've ever had & the one dessert I can't find anywhere. I knew I was going to try more of the snacks when I LOVED the snickers cold. It wasn't all soggy after being in the fridge overnight. So glad I found this place on DoorDash and that they're open and available for pickup and delivery. I appreciate y'all for being willing to do so. Side note: my boyfriend and I tried to pickup the first time we found out they existed but upon calling we found out that we do need to order ahead of time. Their DoorDash is super clear about that and they seem to be easy going in every interaction so far. 10/10 recommend and a definite MUST try. The foodie in me is in heaven read more

Was in town and looked on doordash late at night to see what desserts were available. They delivered to my hotel. This place popped up and I thought it was so interesting! Everything was fried and green! We ordered fried ice cream, fried Twix, and fried cheesecake bites. Everything was just how it sounds. The Twix had a good crunch but I would prefer eating Twix alone. The cheesecake bites were good! The fried ice cream is hard to rate because I know it's delivered and would of course have to be melted. I probably wouldn't order this again because I don't think I would ever crave this much fried dessert... but if you're into that, go for it! read more

I love this place!! Nothing fancy or special, just really simple desserts done right. I ordered the fried Oreos and Fried Reese's with ice cream, and I can not wait to go back to try the other items. The batter was light and fluffy and fried just right, not too oily. The ordering process is a little weird in the sense that it's not your average storefront, but the owner texts you and makes sure you get to the right place. I don't live around the area, but hopefully, swamp snacks will become more popular and expand closer to where I live. read more

Its next to impossible to please all 5 members of our picky eater family. THIS guy accomplished the impossible! Delish!!! We had to wait a bit due to some issues with the funnel cake, but he gave us an extra ice cream sandwich for the inconvenience. Super apologetic. So worth the wait! Arrived still hot! We got the fried oreos, funnel cake, fried peanut butter cups, and 2 flavors of ice cream sandwich (choco crispy and peanut butter crunch?). All delicious! I really wanted to rate this dessert place better and was excited to try the desserts. However I placed an online order at 10:20 pm and got an email confirmation saying that my order would be delivered in 37 min (website said 37-57 minutes). Well I kept waiting until 12:30 when I finally sent an email cancelling my order. I never heard anything as to why my order was never delivered. this popped up on yelp, i was interested by the name so i looked at the pictures and the menu and wow there's so much variety!! i was amazed at how much they had. we ordered the strawberry deep fried cheese cake and wow let me tell you, AMAZING!!!!!! when i ordered i got a fast response, i got a location sent so i wouldn't get lost and was alerted when they were starting. the pick up was a little sketchy but definitely well worth it. simply amazing. definitely would recommend and if i lived in the area i would definitely order again. read more

So I NEVER use Yelp but I had to download it and make a profile to leave this review. I would give this place 100 out of 5. I usually deliver for Uber eats and every single time I deliver for this company I can smell the food and omg I had to try it for myself. And I have to say is WOW! My taste buds where BLOWN AWAY! I just ordered a funnel cake and some other fried deserts and absolutely loved them. I haven't been able to go to a carnival or the boardwalk for so long and it really felt like swamp snacks brought the boardwalk to me :) if you're on the fence about getting something just do yourself the favor and treat yourself!! my bf and i wanted to finish dinner with a sweet treat, and revival ice cream had been on my bucket…read morelist when i was planning my monterey trip. i think the ice cream definitely lived up to the hype! we got the single scoop of the award-winning bee's knees flavor in a waffle cone, and i really appreciate how the worker packed the ice cream into the cone. the bee's knees flavor itself was so yummy and perfectly sweet with the crunchiest honeycomb mixed into the ice cream! it had no beesknees being that good hahaha the cone was a bit burnt tho i'd say, but it still tasted good with the ice cream. parking is all street parking here, so beware that you may have to park further out and walk over. the line can get pretty long but i feel like it moves pretty fast. also, they don't offer free samples here unfortunately but they are willing to replace your ice cream if you don't like your flavor. overall, a really yummy ice cream spot in monterey!!

Outside of that they have a lot of good flavors to try from-- this time I got the apple pie and something else that I don't quite remember at this moment. Both had the impression of being delicious, but nothing extremely life changing. Service is helpful here! They don't offer samples, but will offer to swap out if you don't like your initial pick. Otherwise, they are quick to churn through a long line, so don't be discouraged by the length of line! It's long only because people in front of you are taking a while to decide. In the shop itself, there are a handful of counter seats, and some tables outside, but if you happen to catch yourself on a Monterey day with the marine layer in, then you'll probably want to stay inside so you're not eating cold in the cold.

I ended up peeling most of it off and wouldn't order it again. The sugar donut itself also didn't stand out. It had an odd aftertaste that reminded me slightly of cinnamon, though I'm not sure if that was from the oil or the dough. Overall it didn't taste very fresh, and I didn't enjoy it enough to finish. Overall, the pricing is reasonable for the area, but the quality didn't match expectations. I actually ended up throwing the sugar one away and eating the cake donut after peeling off the frosting. The shop itself feels more like a small diner counter than a dedicated donut shop, with a few donut options alongside a basic counter setup. I wouldn't return based on this visit.

Super open and airy, there's a separate room off to the side with some haphazardly laid out tables and seats. The main retail area is pretty busy with people lined up placing orders/waiting for an order, or people fixing up their coffee drinks. Now even though I took my goods to-go I had to go out to their patio to find a restroom. That outdoor area is totally cool, totally out in the open but you're like in a square inside a fort, surrounded by walls, so you can't see any street action. But you're totally open to roam in here from the street. Next time I'm in this area, I'm definitely gonna make time to chill on that patio. Cold Brew ($6.50/5*) Perfect to my taste, smooth and mellow on the roast. Pricey for a small cup but this is a touristy area. Banana Bread Slice ($5.25/4*) Very thick slice. Super soft yet moist in the center but firmer and more well done on the edges. Pretty dark in color, maybe some cocoa powder went in but there were also tiny hits of dark chocolate throughout. Mild natural banana flavor, wished it were stronger but that's me. Blue Corn Cookie ($5/5*) Never had a cookie like this before but I was pretty impressed. Kinda like a cornbread but made into the texture of a good cookie, so it was crisp and buttery on the bottom and moist and chewy in the center. All whilst having a pronounced corn meal flavor and texture. Major props for exposing me to something new that I enjoyed immensely. Went great with sips of black cold brew. Most other things in their pastry case seemed a tad fancier than most other regular coffee shops. I'm just glad I was able to run into and choose a more special cafe to end my beautiful trip out in the central coast.
