My family and I go to Pumpkin Daze at Abbey Farms every year. It's the most analog of the pumpkin…read morepatch places in the area and it suits us very well. The kids love it and it's usually not very crowded which makes for a very pleasant way to spend a day. The tickets are a little pricey, but it includes plenty of activities including a petting zoo and corn maze. They have an indoor and an outdoor bar as well as a lunch restaurant and shop, so you really could spend the whole day!

When you initially walk onto the property there's a sight that has an arrow pointing towards the direction of the store and another arrow pointing towards the direction of the ticket booth. I didn't go to the ticket booth so I'm not sure what that area entails. This review will be restricted to the store and their pumpkin patch selection that's located out front. I really enjoyed the store. They have a bunch of treats and knick knacks available for purchase. I ended up buying 1/2 dozen of donuts. 3 were apple cider and the other 3 were their pumpkin donuts. The pumpkin ones were pretty tasty, but their Apple Cider donuts take the cake by far. So delicious! As far as the pumpkin selection out front I thought it was a little sad. I found much healthier looking pumpkins at Walmart. Overall, it's a cute place to bring your family especially during the holidays. Will definitely be back for those donuts!!

Holly and her family are fabulous! we have been buying our Christmas trees from her for many years…read more she is so accommodating...and so patient with us as we look at almost every tree on the lot before making a final purchase. We also purchase all our spring and summer plants from Murphy's. I am the talk of the neighborhood with my front yard thanks to Holly. Thanks for always being there when it's cold...or sweltering. We are grateful.

I always get a fresh tree for Christmas as I grew up with them. You just don't get the same fresh…read morescents and holiday experience with a traitor tree. Yet, I know those needles all over the floor can be a huge pita..I like to think of it as a once a year pita. Make sure you hydrate your tree daily because they get thirsty too. Tree lots seem far and few between these days. Sure you can hit the big box stores; nothing wrong with that. But, you won't get the same selection and maybe not the freshest tree either..two of the biggest perks for stopping here. Lot is well lit and spacious. They have an indoor tent as well. This local business is formerly known as L&M Tree Farm out of Roselle by Murphy Farms of Itasca. They just moved to this location this year and it's much larger than the previous lot. Tree selection is stellar and there's no comparison to those chains. And, yeah it does come with a price tag, but you're also paying for the best selection and quality. Bill runs the place. Nice guy and offers a LARGE & beautiful assortment of fresh Michigan trees, including some wreaths and garland. Choose from Balsam, Douglas, Fraser firs and a variety of Pines and Spruce. From tiny to tall - they cut, wrap and load on your vehicle. Just a friendly place to stop in. Prices are competitive with other tree lots. A 7 ft. Balsam fir runs around $53, but you might be able to negotiate a little, we did last year. This year, I think Bill's wife was feelin a little 'scroogish' and didn't budge too much other than give us 10% off due to postcards they sent out notifying of their new location. (Bill's nicer at knocking off monies, fyi). Just tell them you got a postcard in the mail. They also charge sales tax (7%) so that 10% discount basically covers this. I don't know why they charge tax tbh...so yeah, support local businesses and bring Bill some holiday cookies!

There is very few pine needles on the floor. The branches are soft to the touch. If it wasn't for the end of recycling pick up this week this tree would still be here. We have recommended this location for a tree to several friends/relatives to get their tree this year. They went and were pleased. Thank you for the best trees...you never disappoint us each year. I was the first person to buy a Fraser Fir 3 days BEFORE Thanksgiving last year. It was an 8 footer and lasted 7 weeks. And I have never had a real tree maintain its fabulous aroma for the entire time. At the parties we held last year everyone thought that it was fake. Now John and his lovely wife told me if I took care of it (water frequently) that it would last but wow never dreamed it would last that long. Also didn't have a huge pile of needles when we had to move it to the recycler. If you are looking for a very "Merry" Christmas in 2017 give their trees a try, you won't be disappointed.
