This is a limited review for the imaging department only…read more Normally, imaging department has its own outside door that I can park near. I did, which turned out to be a mistake because of COVID. There's a sign telling everyone to walk to the main door. That's ok though; I could use a few more steps. Entering through the main door, a person in a booth nearby waved me over to ask me the standard questions about any symptoms and gave me a sticker. An 1 min thing. Anyway, the Imaging department is very straightforward - two ladies at the front to check in and insurance. And if the appointment is the recurring mammogram, I go no more than two doors inside - one to change, one for the imaging. It's super straight-forward and easy. Brownie points for the most recent appointment. I'm so used to having nothing to do due to COVID that I didn't look at my calendar and completely spaced out having an appointment. They just called, booked another appointment, no change fees. Yay! So thanks!

Shame on this ER for the way a young family member of mine was treated by Dr. Paul E. Doetsch…read more She came to the ER seeking help and expected compassion, professionalism, and respect. Before a procedure that Dr. Doetsch acknowledged would be very painful, she requested pain medication. Her request was refused, despite her explaining that she had recently undergone surgery and was currently taking prescribed medication related to that surgery. She felt that her concerns were dismissed and that she was being viewed with suspicion rather than treated as a patient in need of care. What was even more concerning was the lack of respect for her privacy. She was instructed to provide a urine sample in the treatment area instead of being allowed to use a restroom. While she was in the middle of providing the sample, Dr. Doetsch entered the room without warning and did not apologize. No patient should have to experience that. The entire experience left two young women feeling unheard, humiliated, and without confidence in the care being provided. They ultimately left and sought treatment at another hospital. Every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, respect, and privacy, regardless of their age or the medications they are legally prescribed. I hope the hospital reviews this incident and takes meaningful steps to ensure other patients do not have a similar experience.

I have two children (one boy) so let's just say I've seen my fair share of ER's in Washington!…read more Yesterday my son fell getting out of the shower and split his chin open and I knew it was going to require stitches immediately! We headed out during rush hour traffic to go to Evergreen ER which is somewhat close and I remembered seeing a commercial about no wait so I googled and we were off! It was a pretty short drive from Woodinville and I have a feeling it would have been a longer commute if I had to deal with I405 going to Evergreen. The building was very clean and professional, we were greeted by a nurse at the ER counter who asked some basic questions and before we even sat down we were whisked away by another nurse to an exam room. As soon as we walked through the door there were three other nurses who greeted us and got right to work, one charting, one assessing, one taking vitals. Right when all the basics were complete and there was a stitch kit ready to go the doc came in and examined him and got right to work! The nurses and doctor were amazing, not only for getting us out of there in an a little less than an hour but they were friendly and very professional, they were also very delicate with him not only giving him the anesthetic by injection but gave him a topical treatment before the injection to ease the pain (that is normally given to young children). My sons stitches look great and i don't think he will have a noticeable scar! God willing we will be limited on ER visits but if we need to I will defiantly be going back!

I ended in their ER room because Swedish Urgent care don't have an EKG machine (lol!)…read more Very quickly, they ruled out that my symptoms - chest pain, dizziness, shortness of breath - are not related to a heart attack. They released me without any clear explanation what's going on, and warned I will receive three separate bills. Since then, for the next 10 months, I'm receiving a bill after bill. There are around 4 or 5 so far, amassing for over $3K total. After insurance, of course.

Especially Devin and forgive me for not remembering their name but some of the Latino male nurses. My son came in with a laceration in his head today, and the doctor found a unique way of gluing it so we can avoid stitches. It was an excellent experience for my son so redeeming from ER 6 mo ago. By far, my favorite urgent care clinic in the area! Their care and upbeat attitudes are unparalleled. Sometimes the wait be a little bit longer than I would hope but I've found that to be pretty normal almost everywhere. Although this time with the medium laceration, we were in and out so quickly. Keep it up team! We adore you guys!

I've had a sore throat for a couple weeks and the Urgent Care location I normally go to was closed,…read moreso I figured I'd try Indigo. Is "Meh" a sufficient summary? My appointment was for 5:00 but they say to show up 10 minutes early. Traffic was light so I was there at 4:30. The guy at the desk says "Well, there's a 4:45 ahead of you, so go ahead and have a seat." 4:45 appointment shows up at 4:48, checks in, goes back. At 4:58 he calls me over, asks a couple questions to check me in (including prepaying based on their check of insurance), and I sit down again. At 5:11, they take me back to a room. The usual questions and a strep test. Doc comes in, takes a look, and says it's probably post nasal drip from a cold. Do a nasal rinse before bed and take some Mucinex DM if I'd like. A few minutes later, a nurse comes in and hands me some paperwork and starts moving me towards the door. I had to ask if my strep test was negative (fortunately, yes). As I'm reviewing the paperwork at home, there are a couple things that are surprising - when a sentence starts with "Discussed" I expect that we would've discussed it. Sorry, we didn't talk reducing nasal steroids if I get nosebleeds. Is that a big deal? Probably not, and I can read fine. We didn't talk about chamomile tea or fluid intake. I find it concerning when a medical chart says we discussed something that I'm reading for the first time. Between that and waiting in the totally empty lobby for half an hour when there's no one coming in or out? Meh. I'll try to plan my sicknesses around my preferred Urgent Care's hours in future. Update: I get it now. I got an email summary of my visit and they're big on metrics. My "Check In" was at 4:55, presumably when the receptionist started on my paperwork. By ignoring the fact that I'd spent 25 minutes just hanging out before checking in, their numbers look much better. Yeah, I'm good going places that focus more on patient experience than contrived data. Update 2: It was a bacterial throat infection. A doc at a different clinic took one look at it, heard that it'd been that way for over two weeks (same info as Indigo had) and was like, "Yeah, that's an infection. Viral wouldn't last that long, so here's a script for some antibiotics."

Then I checked the other urgent care locations and saw they were at least the same price. They do tend to prescribe medication more often here than other places, but when I've expressed concern with a specific Rx I had issues with, they were quick to find an alternative. The biggest reason I love this place is the time it takes. I'm usually out the door in less than 15 minutes (with an appointment). That includes greeting reception, getting vitals from an assistant, answering questions about why I'm there, talking to the doc, and leaving with my visit summary. I don't come here when I'm feeling well - I want to be back home, wrapped in a blanket, hopefully with some antibiotics or medication to make my plague less miserable. More than any other place I've been, this checks that box. If you're looking for a conversation about how your family is doing, make an appointment with your PCP. If you're sick and need something addressed quickly, visit One Urgent Care.
