We've been here for haircuts, birthday parties & special events & I cant say enough about how much my girls love it here! The employees are so nice and talented, & really know how to interact with the kids. They are so patient and a lot of fun. We went for a special haircut - a first cut - as part of a 4th birthday celebration and went for the princess treatment. She loved it and was very pleased with the experience. It included a wash ($5 extra for the 1st cut service), cut, a keepsake of the hair and a certificate with photo. She got a blowout and glitter spray and a glitter face paint stamp and a cute lollipop. She was thrilled. I took one star off because the actual fit was - meh. When I got her home, I realized it wasn't cut well including a piece that was 3in longer than the rest (!!). I booked the Ultimate Makeover ($34.95) for 3 girls as a Christmas gift. The website states "Includes themed Party Up-do, Makeover Accessory, Makeup application, Just-a-Polish, Scented Hair Shot, Create your Own Bath Salt, or Sugar Scrub, or Body Glitter". When I made the reservation they said it was a 30-45 minute service. I'll begin by saying the girls were THRILLED. They loved the experience! But, as multiple parties were also happening, I felt like we were looked past and rushed out. We were barely there for 25 minutes. The "make up application" was only a single swipe of eye shadow. The makeover accessories weren't presented for choices. The girls weren't given the opportunity to explore any other part of the space (stage? Dress ups?) As a mom, I could do these same services at home for 1/8 the cost. read more

My 5YO enjoyed her pampering session. My concern is she expects this to be a bi-weekly routine. Not happening! I booked the hair braiding, nail polish application, and bath bomb creation packet. Of course when you walk in with your 5YO daughter, the "packet pricing" goes out the window because she sees all the shimmery add ons:) the part that pains me is we spent close to $60 in less than one hour- UGH! At the same time, I didn't want to be a cheap date, so I said yes to her oohs and aahs- totally my fault. I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy her eyes light up with excitement. Hopefully she'll remember to return the favor when I'm in my 80's. Sweet & Sassy is perfect for girls young enough to be impressed by simple braids and shimmer sprays, but old enough to appreciate the experience. Absolutely wonderful place for 'girls day' type fun! We didn't get to experience that part of it just yet, but I took my daughter here recently when she was a few months old to get her ears pierced. I had to call the week before to make arrangements/a reservation and everyone I spoke with was friendly and helpful. We were so impressed with the two young ladies who did the piercing. They were calm, knowledgeable, and patient. We loved the family picture at the end and the certificate--such a sweet memento that we wouldn't have thought of or expected. Brought my one year old daughter in for a haircut. After our horrible experience at cartoon cuts, we decided to give this place a shot. The ladies were super super nice! I had confused my appointment time but they were still able to accommodate my daughter right then and there. The stylist that cut my daughters hair was very patient and kind. My daughter can be jumpy and uneasy while getting her haircut but aren't majority of the kids like that? Anyways, when she was done the cut looked fine at first. Throughout the day we started to notice the many flaws of the cut. Overall, the experience was great however the cut not so much. It was okay - would absolutely not go back. We drove up from the Winchester area to spend a special day with my 3 year old daughter. The positives include fair prices and decent services (haircut and pedicure). However, the staff did nothing to make it a special experience. In fact, the first thing we were greeted was a pushiness to force my toddler to wear a mask - which is not a requirement by the state of Virginia at her age. It was what it was. Not to mention, the (assumed) manager then went to the back of the shop and removed her own mask to work. Then, my mom (grandma) was asked to leave the hair cutting area despite it being a Tuesday and being literally the ONLY customers in the shop during our entire visit. It was incredibly easy to maintain 6ft distance with nobody around, but still was asked that grandma leave. The staff was cold, tried nothing to make it nice for my daughter, and were busy ordering take out lunch as we paid. They also have a great choices of allergy free earrings , from sterling silver to 24K gold, you can do with gems or no gems. The reason for the low star is solely based on our experience with the stylist, NJ. The girls at the front desk were super sweet and professional. The salon is super adorable and a little girls dream salon! Our appointment was at 5:45 and we arrived late due to the heavy rain and the traffic caused by it. I called to let them know we would be late and was told as long as we arrive by 5:55 we were ok. We got there at 5:53 and I told the girl at the front desk. She asked us to wait so she can get the stylist. She came back telling us she couldn't find the stylist but to wait at her station and she will be there soon. At 6:10 the stylist came out of a room called us over and then told us we were late. I explained to her we had called and when we arrived she were no were to be found and we had been waiting for over 10 minutes. She then just turned away from me and told my daughter (who is 4) to sit down. She did not smile, greet us, nor did she help my daughter sit up on the chair. I walked over and helped my daughter sit down. She asked how much of her hair we wanted to cut and I said 2-3 inches and showed her. She then turns back and with an attitude tells me that's more that 2 inched. I responded by saying that's why I said 2-3 inches. Then she just started a show and I asked her to change it to a different one that my daughter likes. The entire time she kept pushing my daughter's head down while my daughter was trying to watch the show. I ended up standing there and asking my daughter to look down. At the end true haircut was crooked and I pointed it out to her and she told me it was fine and continued to braid my daughter's hair. The hair cut is not even. read more

We took our daughter and a few close friends to Sweet and Sassy for her third birthday. They were pampered from the moment they walked in the door. The staff was so kind to them and treated them like little princesses. They got manis and pedis complete with toe and finger rings! They also got with their package hair scent and glitter with a face glitter shape. They haven't stopped talking about it since. We will definitely be back and will recommend Sweet and Sassy to anyone who has a little girl who deserves to be pampered! I tried a second time and after going through the process for 10 minutes per reservation, it split my kids' by a week. I called the next morning and they were totally booked and we could no longer get in before back to school. We had a princess party for my daughter today at Sweet and Sassy. I was a little concerned when we first got there because another party was ending. The helpers were all concentrating on the previous party. However, the second it was "our turn," it was like a light switch went on. My daughter and her friends were grinning from ear to ear the entire party time. The hosts were fantastic with the girls. They did not rush anyone or anything. The participated and had smiles on their faces the entire time. All the mothers remarked that they were amazed with the level of participation. This was the first sweet and sassy party for all of the girls and now they all want one. Well worth the money and make sure to tip extra to everyone. Although this business is geared to little girls, this place is also good for boys' haircuts. I have taken my two toddler boys here frequently starting at the age of 1, and the haircuts always look great. The stylists are patient with my little boys' nervousness about getting haircuts, and can work around wiggling and fussing. The mini TVs are the best distractions. Brought my now 5 year old here for a mani-pedi as her birthday treat. The location of this place is great, I love the shopping center where it's located and the establishment is great. Really cute place and great concept. We traveled all the way from vienna since we had been here before for a birthday party and loved it. Upon a arrival we weren't really greated and when I inquired about a mani-pedi (we didn't make an appointment) we were told they weren't sure they could "fit us in" (the place was completely empty) - after determining they could in fact do my kid's mani-pedi, the lady (I forgot her name) did not seem to know what she was doing (she kept asking another one of the girls there what she was supposed to do but never really helped her). My kid's mani-pedi was mediocre at best, I could have done a better job (this isn't the first time she gets her nails and toes done) - for the amount of money paid ($34 after taxes) I would expect a better job. I forgot to mention, during the time we were in there NO ONE person came in so I didn't really know what they meant when they said they didn't know if they could "fit us in" I probably won't be back again as the 45 minute drive isn't worth it. read more

They cut my daughter's hair last May and they did a great job, but this time around was horrible. I'm not an expert but they ruined my girl's hair so bad .
