This place serves regular Lord's ice cream, which, personally, I'm not a big fan of. The ambiance is actually really nice--calm and well-designed--but I just wish the overall concept of the place felt a bit more unique. It wasn't busy when we went, so we were greeted quickly, which I appreciated. However, the customer service wasn't great. We felt a bit rushed, and we weren't allowed to try more than three samples--even though my husband and I were the only ones there. I ended up getting the cookie dough ice cream, and unfortunately, it was pretty disappointing. The cookie dough pieces were very hard and even had a strange film on them that made the texture and taste unpleasant. Overall, I don't think this spot is worth it if you're really looking to enjoy a quality sweet treat or sit down and relax. If you just want something quick, it might be okay--but it's not somewhere I'd go out of my way for.One highlight, though, was the waffle cone--it was actually really delicious and kind of made up for the ice cream a bit. If I were to come back, I'd probably just stick to trying different flavors or getting the cone again. read more

I've been ordering from here for a while now. My family loves it. The problem is, that every time I order delivery they mess up the order. EVERY SINGLE TIME. If I order for there or take it to go it's fine but not when I have it delivered. It's really starting to annoy me actually. I've been here multiple times and my favorite place to get ice cream in San Leandro. They still serve Loard's ice cream now with option of a fresh bubble waffle. The service is great and the ice cream + bubble waffle was delicious. The bubble waffle was crispy and loved the mochi texture in the bubbles. Wanted to get a couple quarts to go but the freezer across from the broken cotton candy machine was empty with a sign saying they are unavailable now. Went there with my girlfriend and we had an amazing experience. The environment was calm and friendly and there were many flavors to choose from. We picked Burgundy Cherry and Banana, both tasted delicious. The bubble waffle as well was cooked to be perfectly cushy and crunchy on the edges. The proprietor of the establishment was also very respectful and friendly; allowing us to play on the dart board and gave some complementary cotton candy and very refreshing hazelnut gelato. Sweet Bar is located in the Greenhouse Marketplace, which is a semi-busy shopping center. There is plenty of shared parking usually though, you may just have to park a bit further away. This used to be Loard's Ice Cream, but it looks like they are either collaborating or taking over? I tried the jasmine milk tea with boba. I was debating on the green tea ice cream as well, but it looked very icy from the freezer, so I opted out on that. My drink was not sealed that well and got on my clothes, it took 3-4 times of me handing the drink back and forth before I got to try my boba. The milk tea was not that creamy or floral like most places, instead it was a bit more bitter and dark - it tasted more like a black tea based milk tea than green/jasmine tea. I had to cancel the order. She tried to say the new one is on the side but I saw the whole thing.
