Damn good smash burgers. I got the Socal burger and chili cheese fries and I was not disappointed. I ate so much it hurt

This is a good burger. It's a super hole in the wall burger place, and the driveway is kind of tough to get into during rush hour, but if you are looking for a burger and are around City of Hope, you should check this out. Everything is cooked to order, so it does take time for your food to come out. There are a couple of tables to dine in at or sit outside, but it really seems more to be a take out type of spot. I sat at the tables outside and it smelled a lot like asphalt because of all the trucks driving by and cars getting stuck at the train tracks/idling. Prices are pretty inexpensive, but do note that the burger patty is pretty thin (and it's not a smash burger kind of thin), so just buy a double cheeseburger, or some other option with 2 patties if you're looking for more meat. They also serve breakfast burritos all day, and have a special burger menu worth checking out. I ordered the breakfast burger which includes 2 patties, bacon, breakfast sausage, hash browns and an egg on a soft brioche bun and it was pretty awesome. Would happily return for more.

Check them out!! Stopped for traditional breakfast. Bacon and eggs w coffee and I was impressed by fluffy hash browns and house salsa. It's a Small business w good prices and avoid the $20 breakfasts everywhere but not here. It won't disappoint. Owner even checked on me to be sure I enjoyed my food. Give them a try and support them.

I just ordered the cheese burger, and honestly it was really good! Freshly prepared to order, and it was more then enough food even without fries. Service was great as well, glad this place is just around the corner from home.

Verdict: It's a solid offering for simplistic and uncomplicated food for any meal of the day. It fits in all the burger/diner spots that litter that landscape with names like Tom's, or Troy's with specials decorating the windows like tint. Price: $ Parking: small lot Ordered: Breakfast Polish Sausage breakfast sandwich ( $9.49) : I'd say this entry checks off the boxes for a decent breakfast sandwich except it did NOT have hash. Call me spoiled by my high school lunch truck that served the golden standard breakfast sandwich polish, but no hash on a breakfast sandwich is a dealbreaker.

Great little hole in the wall for burgers, fries, tacos, or breakfast. They have a wide selection of Mexican fast food, too.

My family was craving a breakfast burrito so I brought them here, because they serve breakfast items all day. I noticed they had a grill with open flames and thought their burgers must have that nice smoky charred taste, so I got a pastrami cheeseburger. The breakfast burritos were both good and filling, but there was nothing about it that stood out over some of the other burger spots around Monrovia. The pastrami cheeseburger unfortunately had no charred flavor at all. It didn't even have any grill marks, so I'm not sure what the open flame was reserved for. What tasted like thousand island dressing overpowered the beef and pastrami, so I mostly tasted the sweet sauce. Well, we got what we were craving, but I was left disappointed. That's just me expecting too much from a $11. burger, from a place that has the same name as me, and the word 'Burger' in its name.

Almost made it a Hawaiian day, but next time. So yeah, it's in a large strip mall with lots of parking. Inside is very spacious and lively, as advertised. Lots of mounted flat screens and plenty of neon signage to remind you that they also serve cold brews here. Definitely a happening spot for Dodgers games for sure. Menu is extensive with lots of options for burgers and sides. Took the recommendation from my awesome server and ordered the following: - Stinkin' Bun Burger - 9/10: yo, this was incredible. Brioche bun was perfectly crisped, patty was thick and full of flavor. Loved the garlic cheese spread. Just brought it to another level. Well-balanced and not too garlicky. Just delicious. Pro tip: Mon-Fri are their lunch specials. So you can get a side and a drink with your burger of choice at a reduced price. Otherwise, everything is a la carte. So yes, a good time was had by all!

Parking is easy enough a block or so away, but finding a close spot is usually hit or miss on Myrtle due to how many restaurants are concentrated in a five block space. I went alone for a quick lunch. Service was exceptionally friendly and generally attentive, though it was a bit of a drag getting my bill settled as the lone server kept getting distracted by other tables and customers. Well, I got the State burger with no pickles and no thousand island sauce. I added bacon for $2.00 and swapped out the potato chips for fries for $1.50. It's happy hour all day until dinner, so the burger was discounted from $16 to $12, which is a good deal. The burger tasted great. The fries were good. The freshness of the lettuce and tomato on the burger actually stood out. I never realized how often you get slightly wilting lettuce at other places until I bit into this super fresh, crisp lettuce. I know that's a weird thing to mention, but it stood out. The only complaint I actually had was the amount of meat used in the burger patty. I think it's very small. They also sell a double smash burger, and I almost felt like this was a smash burger, cause the patty is so thin. It's not, but it's a disappointingly small amount of meat. Still, if you want drinks, it's a lovely looking bar. As I said, service is great. And I will come back for the burger. It's good and cheap, though I would gladly pay five dollars more for more meat. This time the burger was all I tried, but I can recommend. Give it a try for their all afternoon happy hour and the drinks.
