Loved the intimate atmosphere, super cozy, perfect for a relaxed night out. Service was great and the team was on top of it, I forgot my servers name but he was awesome. I also love that they serve breakfast... definitely coming back to try more, but the breakfast burritos are 10/10! Overall, a really enjoyable spot with a great vibe.

The food and cocktails were excellent, and it's clear the restaurant is striving to create an elevated dining experience. One thing that stood out was how thoughtful and inventive the menu felt. You can tell the chef has put a lot of creativity and care into the dishes, balancing familiar favorites with unique twists. It's definitely a cool and welcome addition to the Moorpark dining scene. We particularly enjoyed the Tropical Bird, Emma's Punch, Lemon Drop, and Mango Margarita Mocktail. The Crispy Calamari Strips were a great starter. For entrees, we enjoyed the Lamb Ragu, Parmesan Chicken Milanese, and Wild Mushroom Risotto with added chicken. All were all flavorful, beautifully prepared, and well-executed. The servings were huge (awesome!) and we had leftovers to enjoy the following day. The reason for the 4-star rating comes down to service details. While waiting to be acknowledged, we were overlooked by the hostess for other guests entering even though we were standing right in front of the host stand. Not a big deal, but didn't love the eye roll the hostess gave when I politely piped up that we had been waiting. Was not a great first impression. While our server was wonderful and friendly, there were several moments where empty plates and glasses accumulated on our table for an extended period of time. Our entrees arrived while many of our appetizer dishes and drink glasses were still sitting on the table. With several staff members circulating throughout the dining room, it felt like an opportunity was missed to provide the attentive table maintenance you'd expect from a restaurant aspiring to a fine dining level of service. These were relatively minor issues and seem more related to training and coordination than a lack of effort. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were all very good, and with a little more polish from the support staff and greeters, I think M on High Street could truly become the upscale dining experience it's aiming to be. We'd definitely return and look forward to seeing it continue to grow.

Would not take order of first round of drinks without looking at our ID's. My wife and I are in our sixties, it was embarrassing because they made a huge production out of it. (No other patrons that I saw were subject to this scrutiny) The Ugly: we each had one drink and shared two yellow tail sashimi starters. Upon asking for another round we were rather surprised to find out our party was cut off from the bar. Water and bread only. The sashimi eaten we took the indignation in stride and decided to wait until the barmaid deemed it acceptable to serve us again. Now it gets bad, one of our party became ill and threw up in the bathroom, before we could even find out what was going on with her, barmaid from hell publicly informed us because one of our party was ill we were permanently cut off from the bar. Not considering the food as the culprit of said illness at all. My wife began to feel sick as well and we paid and left. She had trouble walking, speaking and breathing. She became violently ill and the smell of bad fish was overwhelming. I have a portable breathalyzer for guests to use at my home to ensure their safety if they drink. My BAC - .023 , my wife's was .024 obviously not intoxicated. Shame on M on High for such poor judgement and embarrassing their patrons. Avoiding this restaurant is going to be so easy as there's a plethora of good restaurants in the area. This is my experience, the Good, the Bad and, The UGLY.

The flavors are consistent, rich, and somehow even better with each visit. This time, the meatballs were hands down some of the best we've ever had--perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of flavor. We also tried some of the baked pastas, which were absolutely comforting and delicious. And their special gnocchi? Incredible. Soft, flavorful, and truly something special. And of course, I can't forget the pizza--it was absolutely amazing. Honestly, no need to drive all the way to LA to places like Pizzeria Sei... this spot delivers that same level of quality right here. You can tell there's real care in the food here. It's quickly becoming one of our go-to spots with the family. Already looking forward to our next visit!

**Utter Disappointment**…read more I followed the strong reviews and decided to try Magma Pizzeria for takeout through DoorDash. I ordered the Queen Margherita with added cheese and pepperoni. The pizza arrived about 20-30 minutes later, and while delivery temperature can affect a pie, it usually cannot hide whether the pizza itself is well-made. Unfortunately, this one missed the mark. The box had oil pooling on one side, which was not a great first sign. The crust was cooked around the edges, but the center was thin, soft, and doughy underneath. The added cheese and pepperoni were far too salty together, almost as if they belonged to a different pizza entirely, rather than working with the Margherita base. The basil was strong, which I expected from a Margherita-style pizza, but what felt missing were the diced or sliced tomatoes. Instead, it came across more like red sauce with heavy pizza seasoning, and not in a good way. Overall, the pizza felt rushed and should not have left the kitchen in that condition. I wanted to like it based on the reviews, but this was not a good pie. I'm hoping for better pizza options in the Camarillo/Thousand Oaks area moving forward. I won't be back.

We honestly were not sure if we wanted to make the drive to Moorpark again, but given Phil's extended efforts, we felt it was only right to give Freda's another try. Our last visit was during Mother's Day weekend, so we thought to come for brunch on Father's Day. It was busy when we arrived, but the host team managed the flow of customers very well. While being seated, the timing of the next reservation was mentioned, allotting an hour and a half for our time there. This was more than enough, and we were graciously thanked for our understanding. Shortly after, Danielle came to greet us, apologized for the previous dining experience and showed sincere appreciation for having us again. We had two servers for our section, Nathan being our primary one, but as before, we felt the entire team worked exceptionally well in taking care of customers. We started with the Focaccia Rustico which was the best part of our last meal. This arrived heavily toasted. We prefer the softer version from our dinner, but it was still very good. The husband was eager to try the French Dip, and it did not disappoint. The sandwich had the perfect ratio of meat to bread. The au jus was flavorful, along with the horseradish spread. The fries were, hot, crisp and nicely seasoned. I ordered the Dutch Baby. It arrived freshly made in the cast iron pan, with sides of butter, syrup and berry compote. This was my first time having the German pancake and it was delicious! It will now be on my radar when having brunch elsewhere, but Freda's is the standard that others will follow. Team members checked on us often, as they did with other customers. Danielle stopped by a couple more times. We were thanked again, as we left, for giving them another chance. It was a great experience from beginning to end and a testament to Freda's dedication to customer satisfaction. We'll be back. :)

We tried the New Orleans BBQ Shrimp, Meatballs, French Dip and Mediterranean Chicken, and a mimosa. The meatballs were about the size of a golf ball. After cutting it in half the center looked firm and somewhat dry. It tasted a bit bland but after putting extra marinara sauce on it greatly improved the taste. The shrimp was ok but it did not stand out. The portions of both seemed small, probably adjusted due to the special menu. The bread that came with the dishes were good, warm and toasty. I really enjoyed the French Dip, the prime rib was tender, and the au jus and horseradish sauce enhanced the flavor. However the horseradish sauce didn't have the kick I was anticipating, so maybe more "horse" or more "radish"? Mediterranean chicken was also delicious. The fries were thin and crispy. Mimosa was refreshing. Service was great, our server Stephen was attentive and checked on us often. Overall it was an enjoyable first experience.
