Nicely balanced spices with tasty organic vegetables, tomato, black beans and diced sweet potato, topped with perfectly cooked farm eggs. Oh my!! How am I the first to rave about Talent's new gem? This place is AWESOME! Besides the fact that I love the ceramic ware that was made specifically for the place, and that the rice crispy I shared with my friend blew my mind, they have grapefruit mimosa's! Everything on the menu was reasonably priced, especially considering they are mostly organic and you get a full plate of amazing food. I had the savory pastry puffs stuffed with baked egg and veggies and topped with bacon. I got two with a pile of fruit and a yummy salad. I was back the next morning for quiche. This charming cafe blew my socks off with the quality and deliciousness of the food. My parents came to visit me, and I wanted to take them somewhere special and also casual. Modern-yet-small-town charm permeates this place, and the incredible gastronomical offerings are just the cherry on top of the sundae. Or rather, the avocado atop the free-range-chicken-breast salad. Everything about this place is on point. Friendly and no nonsense service. The kind of real human connection, not the sickly sweet forced interaction you get when driving up to a coffee kiosk. Healthy, delicious and beautiful made-from-scratch food. Much of it is organic and I've seen them work around people's food allergies. The portions are just right and presentation is always lovely. Visiting a friend in Medford and stopped here on the way home from an outing. Both ladies had been before. Small, very cutely decorates. Lots of beautiful fresh flowers in vases all around. We took menus and sat down to look over and decide. We sat for awhile as it was hard to make a decision! We came on a Saturday for lunch and they had brunch specials and their regular brunch items. One friend had the beet salad, another had the bagel breakfast sandwich and I had the Talent Express which was marinated eggplant, onions and peppers on a ciabatta roll with fresh tomatoes, arugula and balsamic drizzle. Delish!! My friend ordered the creamy beet soup to try and the other bought the coffee cake to share. I'd never had Borscht or beet soup before so I didn't know what to expect. They were expecting more like Borscht which they described as not very flavorful. It had a hearty taste but no one could answer our question about what was in the soup. We all left there stuffed. You just can't pass up an opportunity to eat in a former train station! The train rumbles by twice a day! OK, but back to the important stuff. Sweet Beet Station is downright fun! The menu is fresh, simple, flavorful and always changes so you can enjoy week after week. I love their baked goods and fancy grilled cheese. I love getting a cocktail, wine, or beer and sitting outside to look out toward the skate park and other downtown Talent sights! The weekend brunch menu really shines, and the portions are large. So nice to have vibrant dinging options in Talent. I will go back to this casual place again and again. read more

I had high hopes, tried the pulled pork sandwich, the asparagus soup and grilled cheese...the pulled pork was crusty and didn't taste fresh, the soup had a kick to it and a dash of wine in it...I ordered it for my kids and am sad that that wasn't even communicated to us that the kids might find it too spicy and/or not to their liking and the grilled cheeses were tasty but small...nobody came up to us to see if we needed anything...once the food arrived, we were on our own. I have found my happy place. Stellar restaurant for breakfast, lunch or brunch. The ambiance inside is charming (inside a former train depot), the staff is friendly (they will prepare their fresh organic eggs exactly the way you request) and outside seating is very pleasant with water bowls for canine friends. Really, really fun when the train roars by at random times twice a day. Everything I have tried has been superb, including but not limited to their pastries, coffee, soups, salad dressings and never-had-better grilled cheese. Nice selection of wines by the bottle or the glass from local vineyards, beers and mixed drinks. Their fresh mimosa is so nice! My only complaint is they close around 3. I could, and often do, eat here every day that they are open. I can't get enough of their delish, organic, fresh food that is bursting with seasonal fruits and veggies. The chocolate chip cookies are the best I've ever had, and let me say the mushroom gravy at the latest brunch was to die for. We were so excited to try a new lunch spot today. I found this place from an internet search. The menu I found for the weekend looked great. (I wish!) I don't want to write a ton of negative stuff, so I will choose the top three. The weekend menu I saw was done at 1:00, we got there at 1:15. The regular menu is sparse. We ordered sandwiches, grilled cheese for me, pulled pork for my friend. While ordering, the girl/woman did not smile ONE time! I asked her about dressings. I said "is the green goddess good?" "No, it's terrible" she said to me.. We waited for our food, and when it arrived my friend's didn't have gluten free bread as ordered, took another ten minutes. I'm serious, the pulled pork was so dry, I can't even go on about how bad her sandwich was. My grilled cheese? Hard, crunchy...bleh. The young men that were eked there were nice, but they need to replace The person who interacts most with the public. read more
