This is the 2nd time we've been here after bike riding on the Bear Creek Greenway. THANK YOU for being open!!! It's a cute place with ample outdoor and indoor seating. Staff is friendly and wear masks. The food is simple, yet creative, flavorful and "clean". By clean I mean; fresh & healthy, not covered in sauce or cheese or swimming in oil. Sunday morning, hungry for an organic, non greasy breakfast. Sweet Beet delivered a freshly prepared, nicely plated delicious meal. The eatery is small, intimate, clean and not noisy. They have four tables and a counter seating eight inside. Outdoor seating is available.. The menu offered brunch and lunch.. We ordered Fancy French Toast and the Two Egg Breakfast. Fancy French Toast was over the top delicious. Two thick slicers with Cardamom cream cheese drizzle, topped with sliced pears & sprinkled powder sugar. Included was honey butter & whipped cream. There is more:! A dish of fresh seasonal fruit. Yum! Two Egg Breakfast was perfectly cooked. Served on one plate were two fresh over easy eggs, small bowl of seasonal fruit, fresh greens salad with a delicious dressing and a warm Demi baguette. The food was tasty. We enjoyed fresh coffee and water. They offer the full gamut of espresso drinks. We waited a little while for our food but it was well worth it. You order at the counter and buss your table. First visit for our anniversary breakfast. I had the Polenta and my wife had the Classic. Both excellent, and very fresh, and the pesto on mine was also a treat. Ordered a side of bacon and asked for it extra crispy, they were glad to do that for me. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Ate on the patio which was pleasant. Came in after auditions at the Camelot Theatre- parking isn't great, but not really the focal point of the suggested ambience. On such a drizzly/cold day, inside feels cozier- though that may just be because there's not a lot of seating... the high ceilings help to open up an otherwise crowded space. Placement of menus could be better, as I needed to ask a table if they were finished ordering before taking one- only to discover the remaining menus were at the register. VERY friendly & encouraging staff- nice to see the kitchen essentially right in front of me, so you know everything is made local & fresh. I hope to be back, sometime, to try their sweet beet mimosa (made with beet juice), but I went with a vanilla-almond milk latté (comes in 3 sizes, I went with an 8oz mug) & their featured cardamom coffee cake- which are both delicious! The vanilla & almond flavors are balanced & dance in my mouth- the coffee cake is moist with vivid swirls of spice & occasional nutty chew... a warmth to the soul without needing to be warmed up. Overall, for $9.25, a good way to start Saint Patrick's Day! I'd recommend coming in either for outdoor seating (when weather permits) or taking their tasty menu options to go. read more

Went to Sweet Beet Station for he first time this past weekend. It was warm enough to sit out on the porch, which was quite spacious and comfortable. I was very impressed with their menu, quite a selection! I settled on the frittata and it did not disappoint. It came with lightly dressed greens, a piece of bread, and some fruit. All was very fresh! (Except a piece of unripened cantaloupe, which was not a big deal.) Service was great and the food came out surprisingly fast. Nice selection of beverages as well. I just got water, but my husband got the chai which we really enjoyed. He got the breakfast sandwich, which was also good, but it was lacking excitement, maybe some pesto aioli to kick it up a notch! We're really excited to try other things at Sweet Beet. Note: interior is quite small so if you have a group, plan on sitting outdoors. I had a simple breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, lettuce, tomato and shaved turkey. Hands down the best sandwich I have had since moving to the Rogue Valley six years ago (with the possible exception of the grilled cheese at Sammich in Ashland) this came with fruit (immediately gave this to my girlfriend as I hate fruit) and a delicious, fresh green salad with a light, garlicky, olive oil based dressing. Left feeling full but not sluggish. Charming service and a quiet, lovely space...so much less stressful a dining experience than bashing our way into Ashland for a mediocre meal surrounded by tourists. FINALLY! I've been searching for a place to eat breakfast near Medford that is not just processed white flour and sugar. I HIGHLY recommend SWEET BEET STATION to start the day in health and vitality, not with an artificial sugar high that will leave you high and dry. I have been a vegan/vegetarian for over four decades, and I can EAT here. It is DELICIOUS. (I completely cleaned my plate and ate my husband's fruit which had ripe lovely pineapple in it! Bromeline is great for digestion.) My husband does not have such constraints in his diet. There are options for every type of diet here. They KNOW their ingrdients which are fresh and local. The service could not be any better. EVERY individual we encountered was not just polite, but genuinely KIND. It is refreshing to see young people who are sunny and think for themselves; it's a great way to start your day. My husband loves trains and was delighted with the atmosphere and down-to-earth, old-fashioned decor. We came on a very cold overcast day, but he will really enjoy eating outside at one of their many spacious tables. HURRAY, we now have a breakfast/ lunch spot to institute regular date times.
