Sweet Bites and Ice never misses! I've been coming here for years, back when it was just a truck, and everything I've tried is delicious. They are notorious for having the newest trendy sweet treats. Their Instagram is very active and frequently posting new reasons to keep coming back. On this visit, I wanted to try their new hot chocolate with a toasted marshmallow rim, and it did not disappoint. It was a very rich and semi-sweet hot chocolate with a hint of cinnamon, just like my momma makes it. My sister had the Dubai-style hot chocolate, which had a pistachio topping; she had no complaints. We also decided to try the Dubai style chocolate covered strawberries; the strawberries were a bit tart, but the toppings were all delicious. Just a heads up, they are an outdoor-only seating establishment, so come prepared. They do, however, have good lighting and patio heaters to help. It tends to stay pretty busy, especially on weekend nights, so wait times can be a little long, but they are worth the wait.
I highly recommend anyone this place as their go to for a sweet treat. My favorite stop in Bakersfield. They have so much options to choose from starting with crepes, milkshakes, drinks, funnel cakes, etc. I always got their strawberry cheesecake funnel cake which is a 10/10. Today I got their strawberry cheesecake Fresca, chocolate covered strawberries, and their regular beignets with a scoop of ice cream. I literally have nothing bad to say about any of them. The best part is i can cover my sweet treat up since it came in a cute container to keep!
Wow! What a delight to have found this spot. We got the banana pudding funnel cake and a churro. The banana pudding funnel cake was delicious in every bite. The size is pefect to be shared with someone, my wife and I shared. Ice cream is an extra cost to add to the funnel cake. The churro was small in my opinion for $3, so it's not something I'll purchase from here again, plus I forgot to ask if it was made fresh, which I usually do for churros. I won't dock a star, because it was something I learned for next time, and the banana pudding funnel cake was amazing! There was one person taking orders, although they have a way to place your order on a kiosk just outside the ordering window. Although, while eating our food, we noticed the kiosk became the only way to place an order as it got busy. There is room to sit and enjoy your food on picnic tables. We'd definitely come back.
This place has so many different options for dessert that it could be overwhelming. The beignets were so yummy. At first, it seems pretty costly for dessert, but the portions are pretty big that you could share between 2-3 people. The parking lot here is uneven and unpaved. There is quite a bit of a wait despite going on a weekday, so I can't imagine how long the wait is on a weekend. I would come back to try their other dessert options :)
I usually order the Dubai Cupboard Chocolate Strawberries from Sweet Bites and Ice, but lately, the quality has really gone downhill. Every time I go, the strawberries are barely covered in chocolate or the Dubai sauce -- it looks and tastes like they rushed it. On top of that, the strawberries themselves often taste a little off, like they're old or starting to spoil, and the texture is way too soft. What makes it worse is that if you ask for just a little extra chocolate or sauce on the side, they charge you $6 for a tiny container. For that price, I'd expect fresh strawberries and a generous coating, but unfortunately, that hasn't been the case. Really disappointed because I used to enjoy coming here, but it just doesn't feel worth it anymore. EDIT: Hi Stephanie, thank you so much for taking the time to reply and for addressing my feedback. This place is indulgence at its finest! Totally blown away with all the options! Oreo funnel cake, fried Oreos and Oreo churro were all fresh, warm and soft. Absolutely loved them! Milkshakes were thick and creamy. Perfect consistency and sweetness! The Fresca wasn't milk based but still creamy, light, tasty and very refreshing. And there's so much more I'd like to try! This place will serve up your daily dose of sweet deliciousness like no other! :) Wait times will vary depending on how crowded they are and the fact that everything is made freshly upon ordering. We went shortly after they opened on a Sunday and only had to wait 20 minutes for everything. Definitely will be back for more! Side note: the business hours on Yelp are not the same as what they advertise at their location... They open at 12noon everyday. Close at 11pm Friday and Saturday and 10pm every other day.
This place has all the sweet bites you can think of - shakes, churros, crepes, funnel cakes you name it! Vibe makes you feel like you are at the local fair, but without all the madness. Food and shakes are always prepared on spot, and it's always fascinating seeing what everyone else orders. Doesn't look like a bad item on the menu! Check this place out if you haven't already!
I say this a lot but I have really wanted to try this place out for awhile lol. I finally decided to treat my kids even allowing them to pick whatever they wanted without complaining about price or sugar intake. The parking lot is sus! First of all this place is tucked away in the old Hushpuppies parking lot and it looks like it hasn't been repaved since the restaurant was opened! After perusing their extensive menu we all decided to try out the Oreo shake, the classic beignets, and the strawberry dream funnel cake. We all enjoyed every last dessert but my favorite was the beignets! They were dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon and had finely chopped walnuts and the most delicious whipped cream I've ever had on top. What made these even better was that they were not overly sweet. Their portions are HUGE!!! There was more than enough food for me and my two girls to share and we didn't even finish everything. I cannot wait to go back and try something different like maybe the churros.
this was their first spot that we discovered in Bakersfield! I absolutely love their cheesecake crepa, it's so good and so sweet. It's a truck, but it has a LOT and I mean a lot of seating. And they're Always open. The workers are so nice and helping. Like I said their prices are great for the sizing. This vibe is cozy especially for a late night snack or grub.
Food is delicious, i recommend the agua frescas. If i could warn you though, do yourself a favor and DON'T ORDER ONLINE! Every time i've placed an order ahead, my time has been wasted. Youre better off ordering there, of course its a wait but its a respectable wait. I recently placed an online order to save time and was quoted 30 mins for 2 drinks, thought it was a bit much but didn't mind. The wait ended up being 43 mins, the drinks are good but i fear may not have been worth it. Great other than that odd online order flaw.

Finally tried this food truck and was easily impressed. The ordering process was super easy, I liked how they had big menus displayed with all the desserts. Lots of seating area and heaters which was nice. We had our food to go and ate at home. The beignets were really good! The raspberries added so much freshness to break up the rich chocolate & whip cream.They tasted more like "croissants" to me but it was still good. The vanilla milkshake was . I can't wait to go back & try the whole menu! Definitely recommend when you have a sweet tooth. read more

I've passed this truck many times. I swore I'd try it next time. I finally made it! Stopped by yesterday after dinner. No room for dessert, so we got drinks. We ordered the lime, cucumber, watermelon and the lime, cucumber, strawberry. Both were delicious! I didn't realize the drinks were 32 oz., so the $5 price really wasn't bad. Our only complaint was about the small chunks of cucumber skin in the drink, not really a fan of that. My friend and I swore we'd go back for dessert today. We made it! I ordered the S'mores bubble waffle with horchata ice cream and a pineapple, watermelon, mango drink. My friend ordered the Trea leches crepes and a pineapple, mango drink. I was interested in the bubble waffle since I'd never tried one. I wasn't disappointed. The crispness of the waffle helped hold in all the softness of the ice cream, toppings and whipped cream. The horchata ice cream was icy and crumbly and more like an ice milk. It had a really nice flavor. So good! I never heard a peep out of my friend until he was done eating his crepes and he sighed with satisfaction. The treats were so decadent. We were feeling guilty after eating them and decided we shouldn't go back any time soon...so, maybe next week. Staff was so polite. They helped us make choices and thanked us for coming. Very genuine. I had seen complaints from other Yelpers about wait time, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Our treats took about 20 minutes. Forget waiting for the fair or visiting an amusement park, this food truck has it going on! Treat yourself to funnel cakes, crepes and bubble waffles with your favorite toppings. Aguas frescas are also top notch. The value and portions are more than fair and cheaper than aforementioned parks or venues. I've tried quiet a bit of the menu and haven't been disappointed. Highly recommend the mixed berry fruit topping with ice cream. Staff is super nice. All the stars! read more
LETS TALK PORTIONS! This place was AMAZING!!! I love the presentation and portions. We had the bubble waffle with strawberries and Nutella, it was devine, a crunchy goodness that I love. I had never had a bubble waffle, and it is absolutely perfect texture! The crepe was great, fully compact with plenty of strawberries and nutella. Again, portions! They also have a full agua fresca menu and funnel cakes that I have to try! All in all, this place is great, the presentation is amazing, the portions are great and the service is very friendly! There is definitely a need for dessert trucks in town. This sleek truck pros on white lane and there's usually a line formed waiting for them to open. Service is fast they have so many options. I had the strawberry funnel cake it was Delicious perfect size. Making a stop on date Nice is a great idea. Love the concept the customer service and of course the yummy desserts I skipped the ice cream because I'm lactose intolerant and didn't want it to melt by time I got home it was still delicious it's a go to on the weekends read more

Strawberry dream funnel cake with ice cream was berry delicious! The strawberries were so sweet and perfect. Didn't care for the ice cream, it had a weird taste to it. I'd order this again with no ice cream. Oreo funnel cake was tasty. Very rich and lots of it all over. They should offer 1 funnel cake available any 2 ways so that people can share. The servings are huge and wasteful :(. The agua de Sandía was perfect. You can tell it's made from real watermelon. Loved it! read more

We have been seeing this place from the street for a while and finally stopped to try it. Wish we had done it sooner. Wow! It was a Tuesday night, we invited some friends to join us and headed over. The outdoor seating was well lit and music playing. Even though it closes at 10pm, we stayed until 10:30pm talking. The portion sizes are HUGE. You can easily share any dessert. Our friends ordered crepes, agua frescas & an ice cream sundae, we ordered fried oreos. If you've never tried them you should. Everything was plated beautifully, we will definitely be going back!! read more

My wife and I had the Berry Bubbles and Lime Cucumber Watermelon drink. The drink was refreshing but had a stronger lime flavor than Watermelon. The Berry Bubbles was okay. They were out of Horchata ice cream, which is their best flavor. Without it, the dessert seemed a little plain. read more

This place was so delicious. It was my first time here the other day and the outside food truck was very clean. Sitting area that was super great and roomie with over hang covering. Also,what i order was a Classic strawberry funnel cake with vanilla ice cream on the side. My boyfriend order strawberry cheesecake funnel cake with Horchata ice cream. Both funnel cakes was delicious like chef kisses in taste and presentation was well put together. We as well order an drink, watermelon Agua Fresca. The drink was really fresh and refreshing on hot late night. Overall experience was great,we will be returning ourselves and will be bring along others as well for another summer late night sweet treat . read more

First time trying this place and it did not disappoint! The "Strawberry Limeade" was very refreshing, my husband had the "Strawberry Horchata" which was a little more on the sweeter side but is still enjoyable if you have a sweet tooth (: We also ordered some funnel cakes, these things are big! We bit off more than we could chew (n_n*) Overall, 1 order would be enough to share between two people. 10/10 everything ! This will be our new dessert spot to fulfill our sweet tooth from now on. :) read more

Delicious! Driving through town and wanted something sweet. This place did not disappoint! We didn't know that these items come out such BIG portions! We ordered the deep fried Oreos (personal favorite), strawberry cheesecake funnel cake with scoop of ice cream, and s'mores bubble. We are now going to be in a literal food coma driving home. So I was craving deep fried Oreos so I had to make a trip to Sweet Bites N Ice. Last time I got some from here they were good but I didn't eat them freshly made big mistake. So this time I made sure I came with an appetite so I can experience the tasty freshness of this delicious deep fried goodness. Girlfriend and I wanted a late snack and she mentions it every time we pass by. We both ordered funnel cakes online and did pick up. Both were very delicious. I got Oreos n cream and she got berry berries. Portions were more than enough. Packaging and presentation was very nice. Our order was ready as soon as we arrived. If you are looking for something to satisfy your sweet tooth. Sweet Bites N Ice is it!!! I tried the deep fried Oreos and they were delicious! I will warn you that you might have an upset stomach due to the sugar and the "fried" Oreo. Other than that so good and will maybe come back later on this year for a sugar fix! read more

5 stars for the frescas. 0 for the horchata. I ordered the lime strawberry watermelon fresco which was delicious. The strawberry horchata drizzle wasn't to my liking. The horchata tastes like the store bought powdered one and was extremely chalky, leaving a residue in my mouth. I'd return to try some of the desserts and stick to the Frescas! read more

Seriously so delicious! I've been following their Instagram page for a long time and today I was finally able to taste their yummy treats. Their service was friendly, and fast. They serve sweets, and agua frescas. There is a very nice patio set up to sit at. I ordered the Sweet Bites Special, and my fiancé ordered a strawberry bubble waffle. My order was a lot for one person, but nonetheless it tasted amazing. My fiancé and I took turns sharing our sweets and a drink. The drink was refreshing for this warm weather. I would honestly just return just for the agua frescas themselves! Very happy I tried this place and I can't wait to come back soon. read more

WOW!!! THIS FOOD TRUCK IS OUT OF THIS WORLD!! The only bad thing is you can only get these delicious treats Sat. & Sun. from 3-8. We tried the banana nutella crepe, strawberry Nutella bubble waffle with horchata ice cream (oh my goodness- good) the lime cucumber pineapple mango agua and everything was beyond delicious!! We just finished our bubble waffle and crepe, and I think I want seconds... I wish they were there daily. I would seriously go by every night. Go by and check them out. read more
