Found the Sweet Bubble Truck in the SOWA Market on a warm summer day. Got a Thai Iced Tea - flavor was good, but the texture of the bubbles was not my favorite. Also the bubbles were a little on the smaller side. A little to hard and not in the chewy good way. All around an acceptable bubble drink nonetheless.

Tried the milk tea slush and it was refreshing for a hot summer day! I liked it! Would get again

Had the milk tea slush with boba and it had so much flavor; very delicious. The boba was soft; not hard or chewy. I would order that again. Perfect for a hot summer day. Caught the truck at sowa market right before it left! Yay! They have various locations, but I guess they are at sowa market in south end most Sundays.

You're welcome, Connie C., for adding the listing for a truck that seems to have been around for a while. Went with no add-ins at the cash-only spot with snappy staff and found the mango tea for $3.75 to be cloying. http://www.cityofboston.gov/foodtrucks/schedule-app.asp?v=1

The best slush I have had in a long time. I was hesitant to try the pomegranate, but ohemgee was it soo good!!! I bought it twice that's how good it was. If you haven't tried it, I would highly suggest you do.

I remember when I first heard about this event. My initial thought was "oh look another way NYC and…read moreBoston can compete". Actually, I thought it was just another event New York City could dominate Boston at. But that's just the New Yorker in me. I kid, I kid. I've got nothing but love for Boston's food trucks. I was mostly interested in what trucks New York was going to come with as lets be honest the only food trucks I ever saw in NYC were the halal and hotdog trucks on the streets. And let's just say I was taught never to trust street meat. Good thing the website is good at listing the trucks and their websites so you can scope out the competition beforehand. Surprised to see almost all of them had websites. The first time this event was held in Dewey Square. Contained completely on the farmer's market island. My god it was a mess of lines and the wait for some of the trucks was horrendous. People had to plan strategically in their groups in order to hit as many of the trucks they wanted to try. Food truck competitions are serious business and apparently you call out a competition between NY and Boston you're going to pull a crowd to show some love for their hometown. It's understandable... even if the longest lines were from two NY trucks. The second time around the planners did a lot better location wise. They spread the trucks out along the less trafficked Greenway. Thank god they learned from last year. Also line control was handled a lot better. No funky zigzag across 4 different truck areas here. And there was also plenty of grass or curb to sit and eat. Now for the food. This competition has a habit of bringing an array of different cuisines. I had a plan to visit two trucks this time. Morrocan truck Comme Ci Comme Ca and Indian Chinese hybrid Momos & Buns. Most of the NY trucks had a limited 'Throwdown' menu. While I did pick up the kofka couscous from Comme Ci I would have really liked to try a few of their appetizers that I noticed on their website. The couscous was delicious and I think this was the first time I ever really tried Moroccan cuisine so I don't have anything to compare it to. But I'll definitely hunt down the truck when next I'm in NY. Momos I never got to. There was quite the line and I was not that patient. But while I was walking the area I stumbled upon the Cupcake Crew and tried their maple bacon cupcake. Wow, that was incredible. Although I think bacon makes most things taste better. In all it was a pleasant day with delicious food a relaxed atmosphere and I can't wait until next year's.

My favorite so far has been the gyro pocket with the lamb and beef filling. It's a generous amount of meat atop some lettuce and banana peppers that give it an acidic finish along with some diced tomatoes. They do add a sauce on top that taste a bit like thousand island (my only complaint is that sometimes they put too much). If you see the truck, stop by and order a pocket, you won't regret it!
