How great, that in a world of street parking, they actually have a small parking lot! While trying to decide what I would commit to for my scoop I had to try the Cosmopolitan sorbet. Uh yum! It's made with real alcohol which made me skeptical about the flavor, but it was great. I could see grabbing a scoop of that on a hot summer day for sure! I enjoyed the Bailey's Irish Cream in a cup. We came here today from Dallas, found this place on YELP, it was DELICIOUS! They're open LATE, everyone was super happy and friendly at 30 minutes before closing and our ice cream was FREE! Because it was our first time there. They get 5 stars because they had the customer service, flavorful ice cream and they were open late. Oh Sweet Cow! The entire staff is a rockin' 5 star group. The service is another 5 stars on its own. The ice cream gets another 5 stars. The reviews for this place are definitely not hyped and my own personal experience last night was to the moon and back. I had the Dutch Chocolate ice cream. The girl who helped me out said the Dutch chocolate ice cream is really Dutch. Then I made an Addams Family quote about "Are those girl scout cookies made out of real girl scouts?" We laughed! :) BTW, ask them about GOING POSTAL! :) You won't regret it! I tried the coffee ice cream and lemon sorbet before settling on the Dutch Chocolate. Technically a coffee review since I was eating coffee-flavored ice cream, right? What completely sold me on trying this place was that they have an Ozo Coffee flavor. That's pretty neat! Ozo is my favorite coffee roaster in Boulder so it was a brilliant idea for them to work together. So the ice cream itself was extremely thick. It actually did break my spoon after a few spoonfuls. It tasted pretty good but clearly not like a craft cup of coffee. Expectations maybe a bit too high expecting it to have any similar traits to a fine coffee roaster? Anyway, it was fine. After visiting all the recommended spots, I really thought we had found our favorite (hint: name also begins with the word "Sweet") and we would go there frequently. A friend of my husband recommended that we check out Sweet Cow and woooooooah momma! Husband had a strawberry ice cream sundae with warm caramel and whipped topping (all for less than $5). I worked at Sweet Cow in Highlands in the fall of 2019. If it were still possible to file an EEOC complaint, or if I had the means to sue them for their mistreatment and discrimination, I would absolutely be doing so. Unfortunately, too much time has passed for me to take legal action with the EEOC, so my only option now is to spread awareness of how Sweet Cow LLC mistreated its disabled employees (at least myself) and other discrepancies I witnessed while working for them. There were some minor discrepancies I wasn't too concerned with while working there; mostly that we were not all paid minimum wage, and against local regulations, we were required to clock out for breaks even when working long shifts, and we often didn't get the state-required minimum breaks. I was not too concerned with this. The real issue came when I had to leave the company suddenly, due to my own pre-existing disability worsening. I had to leave work one day and go straight to the hospital during my lunch break. On my way there, I called my supervisor and updated her on my situation, and that I wouldn't be in working condition for a while so I might as well resign. She said okay, and to drop off my uniform shirts at my earliest convenience. I agreed. Two weeks later, I am calling Sweet Cow every single day (most of the time from a hospital) to get them to email me a letter they were legally obligated to provide at the time when I resigned. This letter simply states I no longer work for them, and I'm required to quickly turn it into my social worker to keep my food stamps, discounted public transportation, and Medicaid so I can keep getting medical treatment, food, and transportation I wouldn't otherwise be able to afford or access. I contacted every single employee at supervisor level or above whose number I had within the Sweet Cow agency, including leaving voicemails for the CEO of Sweet Cow and completely exhausting their internal employee complaint system to no avail. My old supervisor repeated said, 'if you want the paperwork then bring us the uniform shirts back first'. I communicated to her and her higher-ups that I was literally disabled, hospitalized, and unable to bring them in at the moment, but I would as soon as I was able to, and that I was losing my ability to access my healthcare, food, and transportation because they were not providing me the letter they were legally obligated to provide. They started acting disgusted at me as if I were making this up or doing it for nefarious purposes, and they collectively ignored my calls until I lost my benefits completely. It took me over three months to get my benefits back because they blatantly refused to give me the letter they were supposed to until it was too late. Those were three of the most horrible months of my life, having to go days in a row without eating anything, having to miss critical medical appointments. I am STILL trying to get back on my feet from this over a year later, especially with the missed medical appointments. It quite literally almost killed me. I am not the kind of person to want to draw attention to this part of my life. I would rather be able to move on and forget about this dark period. But I'm too angry about how this company's actions directly impacted my ability to survive, and that nothing ever happened to make it right. I am prepared to go to ANY lengths to make the general public aware of this issue. This place is delicious! This was my first time here and I was already excited that they had a PARKING LOT! I'm not big on having to find street parking and then navigating my way around to walk there. We went in and the employees were great. They greeted us and helped us pick our flavors. I think I tried just about everything on the menu. I ended up getting the OZO coffee cookies n cream and it was AMAZING! My 2 favorite things put together! We had just had dinner and after trying all the flavors, I didn't want too big of a portion so I got the tiny. So cute! The PB & J was also really good mixed with the oatmeal cookie! We usually hit this area up a lot for either Himchuli or Blue Pan Pizza, and we always stop by Sweet Cow for a treat afterwards and as a vegan this is my favorite Ice cream place because they always have several options for me! Their vegan flavors change pretty regularly so I get a nice variety, so far my favorites are chocolate raspberry, Thin Mint, and peanut butter banana. Their ice creams are made with vegan milk too, so you're not just stuck with sorbet, you can have actual ice cream!! This is a cute ice cream shop in a strip mall. They do have so parking available in the attached lot. The store itself has some bar style seating. It does seem like they have a variety of options to choose from, they list all their flavors on a big board. I was thinking about doing an ice cream sandwich, but opted out for a classic butter pecan in a waffle cone. It was pretty good, very creamy! They had a lot of interesting flavors, my friend got oatmeal raisin and said it was pretty good. I do wish they had more exotic flavors! I liked this place, they have free stickers and tattoos, and they also have bouncy rubber cows that the kiddos can play with...oh, and the ice cream was pretty good! Here's the deal with my experience: The mint flavor in the mint cookies and cream was strong but the cookies made the ice cream yummy! The coffee in the OZO coffee is also strong and a little bitter at first taste, but tempers down the more you eat. I wasn't sure if this was due to the frigid temperatures or the fact everyone else had gathered at the milk can, but I eagerly awaited my scoop of hot cocoa ice cream atop sweet cream. I'm just going to stop trying to describe the deliciousness at this point. The hot cocoa ice cream was divine and the sweet cream was silky smooth. I was hooked after the first lick. And, unbeknownst to me as I focused on my order, quite the line had formed behind me. The next time I'm craving ice cream this will be worth the drive. We ended up here after driving past the 1/2 mile long line at Little Man. I will give them credit for their creative flavor combinations and witty interior decoration. The service is fast and the workers behind the counter (while very busy) and incredibly friendly! I just wish the ice cream was better. It is a bit "icy" which should not be the case for delicious handmade creamy goodness that is ice cream (despite the name). Prices are a bit high for the quality, but I appreciate that they do specials for hand-packed pints and quarts (especially for daily flavors). Note: They do have a truck that tours the town as well. I had the oatmeal cookie ice cream in a pretzel cone (strange combination, but the saltiness worked with the oat flavor!). The pretzel cone is extra, but worth it if you're curious to try it (and how often do you see pretzel cones?!). My sister had a chocolate shake, which was hard to finish after just a few sips! It wasn't overly sweet, just very rich and decadent as their ice cream is high quality.
