This feels like an old-school community ice cream shop with the Cow theme going strong throughout. The ice cream is absolutely fantastic and it's great that you can try as many flavors as you want before you decide on that nights deliciousness! If you go at night do expect the line to be decently long, but it does move and there's plenty of things to look at while you wait including ice cream, cow creations, and even small cow trinkets you can purchase. I really appreciate that they have their menu large enough that you can see it as soon as you walk in the door so you're not cramming around the ice cream containers to read what's in what and what flavors exist. A family was enjoying ice cream outside as we walked in. We sampled several flavors before deciding on their oatmeal cookies and honey mint. Their ice creams have such a delightful cream base. I particularly enjoyed the honey mint for the subtle honey flavor and rampant mint leaves. The oatmeal cookie truly imparted its flavor while not resorting to cookie chunks in the ice cream. I just gotta tell y'all that I love ice cream. And now, I love Sweet Cow. It was a great end to my sweet Valentine's Day with my boyfriend. If you are looking to try a nice local shop that isn't Little Man's or Sweet Action, I would totally tell you to come visit Sweet Cow. As you try to make your decision, these guys will be more than willing to offer you a sample of any flavor you'd like to try. Honestly, I hate being that one person that wants to try all the flavors, but the people working were super patient with me and let me sample to my heart's desire. I had the Crunch Berry Cereal Ice Cream, whereas, my boyfriend had the Cookies and Cream. Both choices were really great. The flavors were super good and the texture was great as well. I tend to really like the cereal ice creams, so it was a no-brainer as to why I chose this flavor. The Cookies and Cream was definitely dominated by chocolate flavoring rather than vanilla. So, if you love chocolate, I would totally recommend the Cookies and Cream. Also, upon asking for popular flavors at Sweet Cow, Cookies and Cream was mentioned. As for the texture, the ice was quite thick and very creamy. And it went down super smooth. I totally recommend the sugar cone too. At the end of the paying counter, Sweet Cow has some legit stickers and tattoos. Plus, they're free. It's a nice little souvenir to take home with you at the end of your dessert run. A fun little note: If you like putting stickers on your water bottle, the tattoo worked on my boyfriend's hydroflask. I was very surprised to read Christopher B's review that service wasn't good because each of the 3 times I've been in, the service couldn't have been better. All the staff are friendly, willing to give samples and answer questions, and they move really quickly which helps when there is a long line. In addition to the service, the ice cream is amazing. They handmake everything and I absolutely love the creativity in their flavors. My current favorites are oatmeal cookie and Vermont maple walnut. IMHO, Sweet Cow is the best ice cream in Denver. From the actual ice cream to the company as a whole, I am always impressed by this place. Their flavors are always a hit and the consistency is always on point. It's so creamy! I'm partial to the classic Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough but last night, I mixed Reese's and Salted Caramel and WHOA! sooooo good. All ice cream aside, their customer service is just really great. Their employees are always friendly and their system is so efficient. If that line at Little Man drives you insane, watch how the pros do it at Sweet Cow. When I asked what Trick or Treat was, the employee enthusiastically told me, "It's every kind of chocolate bar in vanilla ice cream," which turned out to be an accurate description. I tasted Heath Bar, Snickers, Milky Way, and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. The line moves quickly thanks to the employees, who are also efficient in addition to enthusiastic and friendly. Sweet Cow's very generous with the hot fudge, which I very much appreciate. The pretzel cone option is a new one to me, and I'm intrigued. I got nutter butter flavor and it basically tasted like a cold nutter butter. And there were hidden nutter butter prizes inside as well! DELISH! This was the perfect treat after a salty dinner. I got to try their Boston Cream Pie, Cookie & Cream, & Dutch Chocolate. They were all very rich and flavorful. I absolutely love places that have rotating flavors AND they had lots of choices too. The only downside to the experience was my choice of a pretzel cone. I would say that it is too hard and salty. If you want to spend the majority of time gnawing away at the cone and want the star of the ice cream to be pretzel, go ahead. Other than that, try any other cone type. So, as an ice cream lover myself, I had to beg the whole party to take the dessert there. The store itself is pretty cute and the workers there were so helpful and nice! That is always a huge plus because it just puts you in a better mood. But the ice cream is what I love about this place. I've tried a lot of ice cream shops and ice cream products from grocery stores but Sweet Cow has by far one of the best balance between richness and creamy. The ice cream didn't feel too heavy and you can actually taste the flavors in the ice cream. I had a sample of the OZO Java Chip, OZO Coffee, and Cookies and Cream. The Java Chip was a little too sweet for me because of the chocolate chips but I really loved the coffee and the cookies and cream. The flavors were rich and very different from other ice cream places. After my first experience last night, this place is added to my top 10 dessert list. :) read more

I tried this place about a month ago for the first time - wished I had found it earlier. The ice cream is delicious and there is a huge variety. They even have a kids size which is perfectly priced and great for my kids or myself (if I just want a little bite of something). My son has a peanut allergy and they happily scooped his ice cream from a new container with clean gloves on - that is going above and beyond what they had to do.
