    Caramel Iced Coffee

This new spot is pretty tucked away but definitely worth checking out! We entered and were seated right away. Nice and clean little space, decorated with cute wall decor and such. The menu isn't huge but it's got all the breakfast staples and some lunch stuff as well. Specials on the menu board by the door, I missed this on my way in but the Dubai Chocolate Crepe sounded amazing. I opted for a half order of biscuits and gravy, with hashbrowns as well as a side order of sausage patties. I also tried the pancakes. They have a very nice little specialty drink menu as well with coffee options on one side and fancy fruit drinks on the other. I had to try the caramel iced coffee! The iced coffee comes in a fun little "can", a nice touch that makes for a good picture. This was really good! The coffee base itself tasted great and all the extras sweet stuff only made it better. I'd definitely get this again. Biscuits and gravy were very tasty. The gravy was perfect, but I really felt like biscuits were a bit small. My hashbrowns were done perfectly but lacked a little seasoning. Some salt and pepper from the table helped. Great sausage, but you get 2 small patties with your order which costs almost 5 bucks. A bit steep for what your getting in my opinion. Pancakes were decent. A good size and value with these but they're more dense than I like. They have cinnamon roll pancakes on the menu that I'd like to try on a re-visit, they looked amazing! Service was quick and friendly and the meal as whole was pretty reasonable price-wise, about 20 dollars a person before tip. I'll be back! I've got to try that reeses waffle too...

Great food, good value, clean interior, and quiet setting! Great morning at breakfast. Very happy with our entire meal, skillets were amazing and pancakes were fluffy as pillows. Iced coffees are a fun and unique add on different than other restaurants. Service was a little slow, but for only 2 servers working it was clear they were doing their best. Overall great experience, would recommend!

Came with a large group of ladies for a brunch on the weekend. There are no reservations for this place but we were able to get on the wait-list once we arrived. We were seated and everyone had menus to order from. The orders were taken and food came out in a decent amount of time. The food was plenty and delicious. I ordered the hash stack which came with cinnamon toast already on the side. The pricing for this place you can't beat nowadays, breakfast dishes for under $20. Thank you Sweet Honey for providing a delicious meal and at an affordable cost.

Chicken fried Steak and eggs--crispy hash browns were perfect, too!

Unassuming and hidden away from Downtown Mundelein, this breakfast and lunch place was a great find. Meeting up for breakfast for four at 1100am on a Sunday, we found this place nicely decorated and filling up with fellow diners--by 1130am it was packed. Our server, Liza, had us laughing as we ordered. Coffee and special "canned" non-alcoholic beverages were flavorful and innovative. Our food arrived very expeditiously and was perfect--crispy hash browns, and all. Nothing was missed, drinks were always filled, and entrees were delicious. California Omelettes, over medium eggs, crispy chicken fried steak and light, fluffy pancakes...everyone was happy! Liza is a true asset to this place as was our hostess. Don't sleep on this place before it gets really popular. Can't wait to go back!

The restaurant is small on the inside. The decorations are cute. The menu has a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items. We ordered a meat lovers skillet and omelette. Both were absolutely delicious. You get a choice with the skillet of the type of potato you would like. I got the red potatoes and I definitely recommend that over hash browns. A must try. The service was good.

A hidden gem! Fresh, clean, friendly vibe as soon as you enter. The service was excellent. We had omelettes and they were delicious, light and flavorful. The rosemary potatoes were a wonderful addition. I was also impressed by the different age groups enjoying the cafe! We will definitely return!

First visit in and will 100% be coming back! Food was fresh and not greasy, and the service was great! A wonderful family owned restaurant!

Very popular spot in Mellody Farm that can have a sizeable wait of over 30 minutes if you're…read morelooking for a large table, but the quality of the ingredients and dishes are worth it if you have some extra time to spare. Parking is fairly plentiful, though the entire shopping center is so busy you might not be able to park super close to the restaurant during normal meal hours. The decor is nice, with appropriate themes for a breakfast restaurant and the seating is comfortable. Service is not super fast, but not too slow for a spot that is this busy. The food is really the star here, in terms of the items offered and in the quality of ingredients, good textures, and design of the dishes. I was very pleased that every dish I tried was minimally very good, and flavorful. The burritofull morning sounds like a standard breakfast burrito, but the flat iron steak was spiced to perfection and tender. The mix of chorizo, roasted peppers, chipotle crema, and salsa verde were surprisingly not too salty and really helped to enhance the flavor of the steak. The crispy hash browns, onions, and chihuahua cheese helped to round out the remainder of this dish with some carbs and a bit of fat, resulting in a very enjoyable dish with nice crispy potatoes on the side. The chicken fried chicken skillet mixed a lot of flavorful elements without being too salty. The golden fried chicken is tender inside, with almost a crispy tempura style batter and is mixed with honey smoked bacon, sausage, and griddled country ham. The bell peppers, and onion add a nice sweetness and extra aroma to the dish. This is topped off with a fairly light sausage gravy, cheddar, and jack cheeses. The potatoes matched well with the gravy, but also helped to absorb some of the fat from the meats. The overall combination was delicious and something I'd definitely order again. The banoffee pie pancakes were some of the best pancakes I've had in the last year. Light and super fluffy is not an understatement. Topped with bananas and lots of chocolate chips and chocolate curls, this is intense without being overly sweet or indulgent. The toffee sauce lightly blends in with the other ingredients and the graham cracker crumbles add a nice, almost banana pie feel to the dish. Highly recommended as a very balanced and delicious option. The corned beef hash and eggs may have been one of the best dishes to show off pure ingredient quality. This is house-made corned beef that is extremely tender and not too salty. A simple mix of green peppers, red peppers, and onions really allow the meat quality to shine without distraction, with crispy potatoes to add a bit of starch to the dish. The tres leches french toast was masterfully done, eggy, thick, with just the right level of firmness. The coconut flakes were an amazing combination with the milks, and cinnamon whipped cream, hazelnut syrup, and coconut cream elevated the flavors without making the entire dish too sweet. My only comment is that compared to other items on the menu, the serving of this felt a bit small for the price. The lil'bit of chicken fried is not your average chicken sandwich. This is quality throughout the entire dish from the buttered brioche down to the perfectly cooked chicken. The biggest surprise for me is the pickles, which have the perfect texture and level of acid. This goes great with the sweet potato fries which are lightly crisp and quite flavorful. Overall, this place gets busy and the prices are a bit higher than other competitors in the area. But the quality of the cooking here makes it worth the wait.

I was raised in a bakery so take that with this review. Biscuits are my go-to. With a name like…read moreButtermilk, there is a level of expectation involved to living up to that name. It did not. The restaurant has a lovely aesthetic with the clean black on white patterns throughout. The open floor carries the noise so don't expect much with that. Even though I was the first person seated for the day, service was not great. When I ordered my breakfast (ham and cheese omelette with honey biscuit and a buttermilk biscuit on the side, the honey biscuit came, but after waiting for about 10 minutes, I had to flag down the manager to get my buttermilk biscuit. No refill on my drink either. The omelette was fine. It was a folder omelette and the flavor was pretty good. The biscuits are such: the honey biscuit is a drop biscuit with a slight taste of a honey glaze on top. It was fairly dense as most drop biscuits are. The buttermilk biscuit was just a folded biscuit, but it looks like it was folded at most twice. Here is the thing with folded biscuits, if you over mix the dough, it doesn't expand. If you don't use frozen butter, it won't lighten and create the necessary steam. Then you have a dense brick of biscuits dough. If you don't make your own buttermilk, you'll end up without the slight tang buttermilk is known for. I don't think Buttermilk lives up to the name. For me, it was a disappointment. I had high hopes.
