Sweet Offerings - Candy Stores Near Me - Cambria, California

OK, what can you say about a candy shop that everyone doesn't know... it's candy. But Sweet Offerings was a little more than that, the smell alone upon entering the store was enough to make me want to dive into the piles of fudge and never come out. The staff was great to talk to about candy making and they had samples of the homemade fudge that you could try (they even had Root Beer flavored fudge, hello? that was freaking AWESOME). With the nostalgia candies and all of the other goodies one could spend some time and buy many calories if one wished to. A little off the beaten bath on a side street of off Main St. in Cambria, it was well worth finding. So if you are in Cambria, treat your sweet tooth to some really great candy! read more

Heard about this candy store from the receptionist at our hotel and decided to make a trip to check it out. She raved about the fudge since the owner makes it in-house, so I had high expectations. To justify my expectations, the owner let us know that she had been making the fudge for over 20 years. She let me try the chocolate walnut but it was way too sweet for me, so I didn't buy it. My husband wanted to try the Mexican chocolate fudge but there was no samples for that one, so he just bought a square. When he tried that one out later on he said it was too sweet. I didn't bother with it. Kind of expected amazing fudge so I was disappointed that theirs didn't meet those expectations. read more

Sweet Offerings is probably the most comprehensive candy /sweet shop in Cambria so if you can only go one place for sweet things, come here. That being said, if you live in a big city , you will find it a bit run of the mill. They have old brands of candy, chocolate in the case, truffles, jelly beans, ice cream etc. Lots of goodies for gifting. read more

This review is for the MORRO BAY store (which may have closed and the reviews automatically moved to the Cambria store? ****** Wish I could give this cute candy/ice cream shop more stars, but I was disappointed with both of the items I purchased. The Toffee was not crunchy, it was chewy and the taste wasn't very satisfying. I also purchased some salt water taffy, and it was SO sticky that I could barely get it off the paper. After I finished eating them I felt like I had to take a shower afterwards, the candy was all over my face and hands!! The stars earned were because the gal helping me was very helpful and friendly, and the shop is WAY cute. The "mall" it is in should really change their music choice, as well. Kenny G and other R&B romantic music piped throughout the whole "mall". Sorry to say I won't be back unless I need some of the retro candy. read more

We visit this candy store every time we stay, or just pass thru Cambria. It is really a treat, but to us, what is special about it is Erica's Fudge. The best fudge in the state--at least we think so. Sure, it's a little expensive, the good stuff usually is. We always load up, as it makes a popular gift, when we get back to work. In fact, right now we are packing to stay a week in Cambria--and I can't wait to get my hands on some of her dark chocolate fudge. Right after supper at Wild Ginger.....!!!!! This place is heaven on earth! Especially if you have a sweet tooth like we do! I took my son here to get some chocolate rocks (his favorite) and he also wanted to pick up some for my boss. The ladies here were very nice and helpful. The woman (who I think was the owner) was so impressed by my son's good behavior that she gave him some extra candy - which was very nice of her. Next time, Mommy needs to indulge! I didn't have time to try the fudge, but I will next time. There is a lot to choose from, so take the time to look around. read more

Under new ownership, but better than ever! The new owner has filled up a lot of the empty space in the store with many new products, some of which I've never seen in a candy store before. I especially recommend the fudge, which is made onsite. I was in on a Tuesday afternoon, and helped by a super cute girl named Sarah. She was the most delightful young lady, with a bubbly personality. She actually told me that she loves her job (you don't see that much in tourist towns). I tried some of the Boston Baked Beans (which are hard to find anymore) and they actually tasted fresh. Anymore when I find BBB's (usually in a small town gas station) they're stale. They also have marshmallow Peeps dipped in chocolate (for Easter). I normally hate Peeps, but they're pretty amazing when combined with chocolate. I highly recommend that you visit this store and treat yourself whenever you're passing through Cambria. read more

The name of this company is very fitting! The lady that worked there was incredibly "Sweet"!!! We caught her attention because we looked like we were "too in love"... so she started up a conversation and she got some information out of us to get to the bottom of it, haha! Apparently there are few couples who show affection this day in age without a reason ;) ... she was ready to give us a sample of all of the tasty fresh fudge... it was a bit early for fudge, so I left it up to my fiance to do the tasting. He actually ended up buying a small box of truffles... they were really really good. I could only have small bites though because there was a whole lotta sweetness going on! read more

The "offerings" may be sweet but they are also bland and boring. We ate both the chocolate covered orange and lemon and couldn't tell which was which! Coconut almond bark was just a stale piece of dark chocolate, and not particularly good chocolate, with neither the coconut or almond tastes detectable. I rarely explore candy shops. That's because they're too tempting for me, and I'm really not a big fan of chocolate. Fudge? Not my favorite either. But the owner reeled me in with her warm and welcoming smile. She gave me a sample of her milk chocolate fudge with salted caramel. Why did she do that? I bought some. I'll chip away at it, a little at a time, but it is delicious. She has a nice assortment of candies, and a great selection of retro candy, which I resisted buying. Save yourself a trip. Worst truffles we have ever had..spent $3.50 each and the 'white chocolate' peanut butter pretzel crunch tasted like flavorless artificial coating 'chocolate' , and could barely decipher any peanut butter. The milk chocolate truffle with a butter brickle filling was of equally poor quality. We trashed both and $7.00 with them. read more

Although they have a varied collection of sample treats, they carry the old stuff from when you were a kid, no matter the time. Great little candy store with lots of options! I got a dark chocolate cashew and carmel treat, but was bummed when I started eating it in the car and it was much more white chocolate then dark, the dark chocolate was just a layer over a much thicker layer of white chocolate. I was also bummed that they had a sign for dark chocolate carmels, but actually the whole tray was milk chocolate. You have to spend over $10 to use your ATM card, they are strict on that - we spent 9.80 and had to get a peppermint patty for 25 cents so we could use our card. My husband got a generous helping of the rocky road and was happy with his choice! read more

Sweet Offerings is a cute little candy store. I sampled the root beer fudge and it really tastes like root beer! I love how they make their fudge right there at the store. I ended up getting a square of the chocolate and vanilla fudge. It was heavenly! My only complaint is that it is pricey. The square I got cost $5.50 where I believe it is usually in the $3-$4 range. Nice candy shop that we stopped in at during a recent trip to Cambria. I have a love of all things that mix sweet and salty so I had to go in when I saw my favorite Vosges chocolate bar (the Barcelona) through the window. We ended up buying too Vosges bars and some pralines with some sort of delicious covering. If you like candy, definitely worth checking out. read more

The ladies working here were 5+ stars. Friendly, nice, laughing all the way with samples of whatever you desired. The fudges we bought were good (5 layer fudge and peanut butter chocolate) but neither rang home 100% and both were very expensive. The two small pieces we got were almost $12. I will go back when in town but maybe for more of a traditional 'chocolate' fudge. read more

I just went here and at first i got just one chocolate covered graham cracker. The taste was absolutely amazing. Unable to just walk away, I had to return and try another delicacy. This time it was an entire smore dipped in chocolate. That wasn't as good as the gram cracker but it was still delicious. I definitely have a new favorite dessert place in Morro Bay. read more

Everything looks so fresh and clean and all of the delicious fudge and chocolates are made right there in their kitchen and the ice cream is from Doc Burnstein's in Arroyo Grande and is amazing!
