I have to start with the aesthetics and ambiance inside: absolutely beautiful. There is clear indication of thought and time put into the design of the place. There are seamless wooden ceilings with curves, chefs tools that line the room and a nice blue and pink color scheme. You walk into a cafe palace and the smells are filled in the air. There are dozens of cake flavors to pick from, a rotating schedule of weekly treats and savory items. I like the theme and designs from the boxes to the decor of each dessert item. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup, the s'mores brownie and chocolate chip cookie. The soup was tangy and had a kick but very tasty and came with tortilla chips on the side. The brownie was fluffy and the chocolate was rich and dense. The cookie was crispy and soft on the inside and filled with chocolate morsels. Came here a couple times and tried a variety of items such as the hazelnut latte with almond milk, pistachio tres leches cake jar, Ferrero brownie, butterscotch pudding, chicken tikka and Philly cheesesteak danishes, and cheesecake. Everything was delicious! The hazelnut latte was a bit sweet, but the Ferrero brownie was decadent and the perfect amount of sweetness. There's a variety of cake jar flavors: red velvet, white chocolate raspberry, cookie butter, signature chocolate, original tres leches, and more. We chose pistachio tres leches cake jar because 1) what a unique and wonderful flavor combo and 2) doesn't that just sound spectacular?!? It was such a light and refreshing dessert, very yummy and not overly rich. Although everything was great, I think the star of the show was the Philly cheesesteak danish, with the chicken tikka being a close runner up. What a wonderful, decadent place!! The quality of sweets this place offers is what I have been looking for since moving to the area!! We came as a family on a Friday evening to try some of the goods. It was quite busy but there was still ample seating and the service was amazing. We got some desserts including a delicious cake pop and also tried something from the savory menu - the chicken tikka danish. The food was quite delicious and with the added ambiance within the bakery, it made for a wonderful Friday evening. Great place for a coffee date. Our Barista was so sweet and made us feel very welcome. I had an amazing Ferraro Brownie and white chocolate raspberry jar cake, and Butterscotch Bread Pudding.There are so many delicious choices that are fresh and beautiful looking it is pretty hard to stop at one. Learned about this place from a Yelp Elite event and had to return. The creme brulee was calling me!! This trip I ordered creme brulee, an apple danish a mini pecan pie and their fall spice latte. The young man that helped me was so nice. I asked if the fall spice latte was sweet and he told me it was and that they used a syrup made in house but he could make it less sweet if I wanted. I preferred less sweet so he used less syrup and it was perfect! Definitely a new favorite.The pastries were delicious as well. I truly enjoy coming to this bakery. This is one of those bougie places that depends on atmosphere, branding, and really good lighting to FOOL customers of the quality, and of course, the people who are easiest to fool are the rich so I figure in Oak Brook alot of rich people come here. Then everyone else if FOOLED though social proof that this place is good. It is low quality dessert, and not delicious AT ALL to me. IF you want 5 star cookies go to Amish Shipshewana for their chocolate chip cookies the cookies here like the chocolate chip and mint double chocolate were some of the worst I've EVER had. The tiramisu was around average to a lil bit better, but overall it was the MOST dissappointing wait to get to a place ever! Went here today on a whim and ended up loving everything. They have great chai that was very flavorful. You might need to sweeten it a little with sugar packets but I would rather have it less sweet than too sweet so I didn't see a problem. The desserts are where this place really shines. I tried a gulab jamin cheesecake which had huge pieces of actual gulab jamin and dried flowers on top. I also tried the chocolate mouse piece which was rich and fluffy. Both sweets were also very cold which I appreciate (I never enjoy cheesecake warm- just a personal preference). It appeared to be all female owned and operated and the chef even came out to greet us. My husband loved his tres leches. Eclair was good too. I'll be back for the Kashmiri chai - it was the best. I personally prefer my desi dessert and regular dessert separate. This is a small space with cleverly placed mirrors that make it feel very spacious. I tried the pecan rolls (excellent!) but mostly ended up getting savories. Several of the desserts contain gelatin, which I can't eat, though here it is halal, and I'm glad they could confirm for me. Prices are very reasonable. Menu includes a variety of tarts and macarons in addition to fancy mousse-laden patisserie. We had the cheese jalapeno scone, two brioche savories (tomato parmesan and cheese/jalapeno) and a vegetable strata. I reheated them all except for the scone and they reheated beautifully (350F, 10 minutes). Very tasty, and the jalapeno desserts had a nice bite. Not what I expected, but I'll be coming back for savory treats, and hoping for some more sweet ones. read more

We had the experience of having a tea party/high tea at the reserve today. Here are my thoughts about our experience 1. They were kind enough to accommodate us even though we gave them just 2 day notice. 2. Food tasted very good, desserts were delicious but everything was on the table before we arrived and food was cold. We asked them to warm our beef and chicken Pattie's and they did. Meatballs were cold. 3. The floor was wet and slippery. We notified our server but no one came to mop it. 3. Tea was served warmish. We asked them to reheat it. They warmed it but kashmiri chai was still warm not hot. 4. Plates, silverware and napkins were all disposable plastic which is very tacky for a classy tea party. 5. We only saw our server twice during the 2 hours we were there. No one came to check if needed anything. I Had to go to the counter to get a to go box. 6. We were offered only 1 pot of tea for 4 ppl. We requested 2 pots (kashmiri and regular) and was charged additional $20. Even though we had already paid $176 for 4 ppl. Their food tastes great but presentation and customer service was not good for the price they are charging. read more

We come here all the time for dessert and are never disappointed - we've tried almost all of the cake jars and I would have to say the cookie butter jar and the pistachio tres leches are my favorite + they pair well with the Moroccan mint tea. The service is always fairly quick and we enjoy the vibes especially on weekends when there's a bit of a crowd. The place is cool and modern with cool wall art with old hand mixers and wood designs. I also really liked the elegant and private booth that seemed like a cocoon and had mood lighting. The place also had a prominent outlet where I could see wanting to go to this quiet delicious place and work on my computer or even having a meeting. I found everything we tried delicious. We shared everything as we do to try as much as possible. I really loved the passionfruit cheesecake and the taj malai cake jar probably the best for the sweets and the jalapeno cheddar danish was really really good. We also got a mini pumpkin pie, a chocolate tarte, a hazelnut eclair, a pumpkin spice macaron, a red velvet cakesickle and my dad got a Kashmiri tea I tried a few sips of: so good! Everything was decorated beautifully and very fancy yet the place is completely casual and welcoming. I loved that they had real mugs and plates. I would love to see real silverware and more eco friendly paper straws in the future. All in all a great quality place to get a treat and a cup of coffee or tea and try something unusual or an old favorite. So much better than some chains that are actually more expensive. Finally!! I have a great bakery on my way to work that serves outstanding baked items. The person behind the register was super friendly who helped us, making sure we were happy with our selections There was a table in the eating area elegantly decorated for a birthday party with an area for decorating your own cookies. The table setting was so pretty I want to have a party there! We ordered kashmiri chai which was a pistachio chai. I ended up with actual pistachios in it, which I wouldn't do again as I wasn't able to drink it quickly and the pistachios got a bit mushy and it didn't taste so good. We had the triple chocolate cookie, which was like 7 stars out of 5. The signature chocolate cake jar was really tasty, very rich and elegant tasting. It was a generous helping for around $5. The raspberry danish was fresh, not overly sweet, soft and chewy with great flavor. The creme brulee was ok, but my favorite part is the carmalized topping, but there wasn't any of this, just custard in a dish with some berries on top. My favorite thing was the mini french silk pie tart, which had shaved chocolate on top of a creamy, rich chocolate mousse in a great tasting pie shell. We also got a turtle blondie, which we haven't tried yet. The bakery case is filled with mini cakes, cake jars, cookies, eclairs and macarons. It is a thing of beauty. They had a ton of decorated cookies for the holidays that looked good. There is an impressive drink menu with different teas, coffee and chais. So many things that I am sure that I am missing things. Parking is in a strip mall, but it was easy enough to find a spot and get in and out. Prices were very reasonable with most items being around $5 or under. The bakery is halal, which will be great when I want a cake for co-workers. We will definitely be back to try more treats. read more
