I don't usually write reviews but I had such great service and food when I visited that I just had to share. First, the bakery is nicely decorated with private booths, which was great for me and my sisters who were meeting here to chat. The person at the front took her time to explain all of the menu items and make recommendations. We ordered chai teas, a scone, cake in a jar, and a pecan roll. Everything we ate was delicious! I've had pecan rolls before, but this glaze tasted extra caramelized and was amazing. The cake in a jar was tres leches, but with Indian spices. It was different than anything I have tried before. I loved it. Another sister ate the scone, so I can't speak to that, but I think she liked that too. They are also expanding their menu to include more savory options, so they were trying out new menu items and let us try some in exchange for our feedback on the new items. I can say that those items were great too, so I can't wait to come back once they've expanded the menu. I would definitely recommend this place and plan to be back often. read more

They're pretty amazing. It hasn't even been 6 months since they've opened up and they've catered at least 4-5 of our family functions. We've been here multiple times for coffee and dessert and its always been pretty epic. My fav has to be their Gulab Jaman cheesecake! Coffee & The Kashmiri Chai has also been on point. read more

My dad once told me a story. He said, "Son, come, it's story time." I trotted over to our fireplace. It crackled as I approached it. An omnipotent smell of fresh, burning wood overtook my nostrils as I sat on his lap, and he pulled out a book. Our house was huge. It sat on a plot of land in the middle of a gated community, which we would go to for our monthly vacation. We packed our belongings and made Hijra to it once a year. As his hand reached for the book, I caught a glimpse of the title. It read, "Money Doesn't Grow on Trees: The Sequel." I pondered. Today, my pondering stopped, and I came to a realization. You see, I spend money on açaí bowls, and I buy coffee for unheard-of prices just so the cool kids of the neighborhood think I'm cool. When they trot over to the diamond-shaped trash can and see Phil's coffee cup with my name written on it, I spend $10 for a gallon of gas. But when my accountant called me, as I ripped off the pleasant lid from the cake cup and sat in The Sweet Reserve Bakery's chair, his voice shook in a way that jolted the vein between my pulmonary valve and tricuspid valve. He said, "Sir, there's been a charge." My heart sank deeper as the sweetness started to fade, and the reservedness started to sink in. He said, "You've been robbed. Or, well, your father has been!" I panicked. I felt like Rajoh from Three Idiots when he received news his best friend had just been hit by a car. I reached for my keys but found my throat too dry to move. He continued, "Sir, you'll need to sell your vacation home. The one that sits upon seven acres, amongst cherry blossom trees that were planted by Peter Carr, Thomas Jefferson's nephew. The one that's guarded by 24/7 armed military men. And the one where your father told you bedtime stories as you perched on his lap during story time." By this time, my bald head hit the floor of Sweet Reserve Bakery. I imagined the floor must have been made out of rubies. My sister had taken hold of her phone and was opting to call a special line of paramedics for people who could afford to pay a hefty price, who said they were two minutes out. My accountant Edward's voice caught my ear as I was gasping for breath. "Sir, it's a charge at a place called Sweet Reserve Bakery. They've charged $6 for a cup of cake." I knew my father had already signed papers to disown me at this point. Our family lawyer was probably on his way to court, chartering our helicopter, making things official. But I could do nothing. The paramedics had arrived and were all over me as I was left to their whims. I've written this short review hoping others can learn. It's deeper than a charge. It's about the future generations. Your nephew's son's brother's third cousin's husband's son will have no chance of prosperity if society is okay with spending $7.50 for a small slice of cake or $8 for a cup of coffee. As I sit here munching on my caviar from the cave of Alexandria the Fifth, writing this has given me hope that you too will not be okay with this now or ever. All love. Jokes aside, we love this place. And we want our small businesses to succeed, especially places where we have peace of mind knowing their ingredients are halal-certified. I have visited this bakery only once so far, but the food was delicious, service generous and welcoming. We tried the pecan sticky roll which had excellent flavor and texture that I'm still thinking about it a day later. The passion fruit cheesecake had just the right amount of sweet tart flavor and creamy texture. The tres leches saffron cardamom cake jar was very tasty. All the desserts had just the right amount of sweetness to keep you coming back for more without overpowering cloying sugar. The ambiance was very cute and cozy with lots of pretty lattice work and comfortable booths for good conversation with friends or family. The service is still working out some small challenges (I had to remind them to bring the food they promised to deliver to my table). However, you can tell they are making an effort to give their customers the best. Once they realized their minor delay in service, they went above and beyond making sure we had a great experience. I will definitely be back and plan to recommend it to others I know who live nearby. All the food was so good that we devoured it without even snapping pictures before we ate. I cannot choose 5 stars because we did not try the coffee. We bought many desserts to have a sampling at home. Our family's favorites included the coffee panna cotta and the passion fruit mousse/tart. We plan on going back to try the coffee and other desserts. The the space and decor was unique and tasteful, not overwhelming. The colors were inviting and The Moroccan wall was impressive. I love that they include variety of internationally known flavors not just strictly French style/flavors. One tip is that the employees should be better able to explain the flavors. read more

In the area for the Frida Kahlo exhibit at the McAninch Arts Center, so Yelped The Sweet Reserve Bakery and gave it a try. Walked in and immediately took in the fragrant aroma of chai tea and the beautiful design concept that was equally well crafted. That was before we even began to explore the showcase filled with beautiful baked goods, many sized just right for sampling and sharing. My wife and I tried the carrot cake, passion fruit cheesecake, and a chocolate cakesicle. No sooner than one of the two hosts heard me comment on how wonderful the chai smelled, he served me up a cup of each variety for us to enjoy...on the house! The home-brewed Kashmir Chai and the Karak Chai were both so delicious! A wonderful change from the chai-in-a-box. The baked goods were equally decadent yet not too sweet, the flavors front and center. As if that wasn't enough, our new friend brought a jar of the Ras Maiai Tres Leches over to our table to sample. He was right, the pistachio was subtle and perfectly balanced with the Tres Leches cake in that little jar of delight. We left in a bit of a rush to get to the show, but we will definitely return from Indiana to enjoy The Sweet Reserve Bakery next time we are in town! read more

I read about their chai, but was worried it would be too sweet and I'm a coffee person, so was pleased when the gal behind the counter said she could do half coffee and half chai. Hope I'm not committing a taboo, but it was just right for me. Currently working in one of the beautiful booths (all with outlets and great backgrounds should you need to hop on a video call). The WiFi is fast. The sweets in the case all look tempting, so something will definitely be following me home. This is my new morning coffee spot. I love bakeries and have tried over 100 of them and can honestly say based on the taste and price this was one of the worst. I ordered an eclair, cake jar and 3 macaroons that cost 24 dollars with tax. Not one of the items was good. All three I can say seemed fresh but had very little taste. This place is SO good. I tried their rasmalai cake cup which was so yummy I came home and tried to replicate it (not too successfully). Also tried their cheesecake tried sampler and my favorite was the opera cake. It is so hard to finally find a halal bakery so it is worth a visit. Went in to try some Karak chai after a big meal. I knew I was in for a disappointment when the cashier told me there is no sugar in the chai and will have to add it. I'm pretty sure karak chai is cooked with sugar , that's where it gets it's distinct taste from. I might go again to try something sweet but not their "chai". 10% sales tax charge. read more
