We were on our way to Miami after a long day of hard work & my whole family decided we wanted something sweet. My brother googled and this was the first place on our way down that caught his eye. We wanted something local. So happy we stopped here. I was expecting just a normal looking ice cream shop but it was actually MUCH more! When you walk in it looks like a well sized gift shop! They have super cute little trinkets and they have tables you can sit & eat at! My family is pretty loud and we probably think we are way funnier than we are but the staff had fun with us and were patient with my indecisive self lol. Excellent through and through! I saw the reviews on Sweet Savannah's and said I need to swing by and check there assortment of sweets out while spending the day in the Keys. It's a nice spot right off the highway with excellent classic charm. Plenty of seating area with exceptional service by the staff. Bread Pudding... WOW WOW WOW !!! So flavorful and delicious. The perfect consistency and texture throughout the entire dessert, sweet and savory. You can tell it was made fresh. Key Lime Pie.... Sweet and Tarty, perfect flavor and texture, love how creamy it was. Make sure to spread that whip cream all over your slice, it's my favorite thing to do. One of the best I've tasted. Made 3 trips in one week and was a consensus favorite by our family of 5 which is rare. Creative daily cupcake specials that were perfectly baked and decorated, a perfect cafe con leche according to my barista daughter, and my wife who is a cupcake fanatic is looking into shipping from Flordia .. I would say a top stop if anywhere near the keys and right by the marathon airport so very easy to pick up a box of cupcakes or key lime pie to go. I was very excited to see their variety when it comes to food allergies and modifications. We called to see their "sugar free flavors" (as listed on website) and were told there were 2 separate flavors. Once we arrived, it was a combined flavor and listed as "no added sugar". Whether you want ice cream (24 flavors! locally made! in a cookie bowl?!) or baked goods (cupcakes! cookies! key lime pie?!) you really can't go wrong. And while I eat gluten-full options for all of our desserts they do offer a pretty decent gluten-free menu if you need it. The shop is cool, too. They sell an eclectic assortment of games, toys, jewelry, and gifts. There is plenty of space to sit down (two different rooms with tables), too. But, the thing that I appreciated most about Sweet Savannah's was that they had a little play area in the secret garden room with a dollhouse and blocks and games. For a mama with three small boys that were hot from a July day it was a most welcome reprieve to eat our ice cream and hang out for a little while inside playing. The hot fudge sundae was very good. But when the young man handed it to me, it was just ice cream and hot fudge. I asked him to add whipped cream and nuts. He said ok but it will cost more. I have never had a hot fudge sundae that didn't already come with whipped cream and nuts included in the price. My husband heard that and was completely turned off to getting one himself. It's the type of key lime that you can keep eating and not get repulsed after a couple of spoons. The crust is so yummy and crumbly and brown sugary They bake the best patties like fruit turnovers and fresh breads ! They had cheese bread and jalapeño cheese brad out one morning. To die for!! Their ice cream is delicious and creamy! It was my sons birthday while we were there and I had them make a s'mores flavored cake. I wanted a fishing theme so they added pictures of a mahi mahi on it. The crust is a perfect blend between soft and crunchy with amazing Graham flavor. The bar was pretty delicious. It's very tart so if you're not a fan of super tart dessert, pass on this. I enjoyed it. The crust was amazing as well. The cupcake was the wild card. I didn't end up eating it until a week later but I'm so glad I got to try it. It was kind of like a jelly doughnut version of a cupcake with key lime filling. Flavor was great. Not a jelly doughnut fan so I'll pass on this next time. We were ready for a cold, sweet treat after the beach. When we went in to Sweet Savannah's the Associate was helping another customer. But looked up and made eye contact, and I smiled, and then assumed we were "recognized" as waiting to be served next. As they scooped the other customer's ice cream I took a minute to look left and right at the other choices for treats. A large group walked in and walked up to the counter, too. There were other Associates behind the counter, folding pastry boxes and doing other things, but hadn't been waiting on customers. Then one of the Associates did turn around to help, but went to the big group first for some reason. Sure, frustrating that they skipped me in line but I hoped I'd be next soon, once the first Associate finished with their customer. But once he did, he went to ring them up, then was talking to another Associate for a bit. He finally started taking our order. But he only took the order for three of the four people in my party before he walked away, going to ring up a customer who was just buying items from the shop. It was so confusing. My husband and I looked at each other like, "what just happened, why did he leave with no comment?" After a few minutes another Associate came up and asked if they could help me, and I ordered my daughter's item. We paid and sat down to eat. Then my husband realized he had been given cherry ice cream instead of black raspberry. He went back to the counter and told them he had the wrong thing. They disagreed and assured him he had the right item. He came back to the table and resumed eating. But then he had me taste it and it was definitely cherry. There were hunks of cherries in it, it wasn't a huge mystery. As we left my husband stopped by the counter again and said, "this really is cherry, just wanted to let you know, for the next customer," assuming maybe the barrels of ice cream had been put out in the wrong spot. They just looked at him. No apology. No "can we get you something else?" One Associate looked confused and said, "it is?" But that's it. The treats and ice cream were good, the kids were happy. But this wasn't a problem of being understaffed, as so many places are struggling with these days. Just bad management and bad customer service. read more

Cute dessert place in Marathon. We stopped before watching the sunset & shared a cappucino & coffee ice cream sundae. They have cookies & cupcakes which I plan to try next time. The aesthetic of the shop was very pleasant as well, however if you're looking for a cone stuff then scoop, you won't get it here.
