Great stop in the Keys! Although it's on a little strip mall without a view, it was very cute inside with lots of seating. The ice cream was delicious (but it was busy & they had run out of a few flavors) and the cupcakes looked very good, too. Cute little place with some deliciously tempting cupcakes!! But we were in the mood for ice cream. Chose chocolate peanut butter swirl and Oreo to share with the BF. The Oreo was sweet and yummy, the chocolate PB was more chocolate and not enough PB. I ordered an iced pumpkin chai, but I didn't like the flavor. My husband and I always love to try the local ice cream places while we're on vacation and this one did not disappoint. I'm usually so predictable with my ice cream choices (coffee or some variation,) but all of their flavors encouraged me to try something new. This place is super cute! We went here on the advice of our server from last night. I asked her honest opinion if I should get the key lime pie they served there or where she thought the best was and she said Savannah's. So being the dessert obsessed gal that I am, we went today, as soon as possible. I got a slice of Key Lime Pie and a small latte. My friend got a Key Like cookie and a Strawberries and Cream cupcake. Sweetness overload. But so so good. The cupcake was perfectly cooked and there was strawberry deliciousness in the middle. The buttercream icing was definitely homemade. The Key Lime Pie was great tasting, but I have two cons for this. 1) the whipped cream was not whipped cream, it was cool whip. You have a bakery- make the whipped cream! It cheapened the pie in my opinion. 2) the size of the slice was pretty small. If you are ordering by the slice, it should definitely be larger - especially if you charge $4 a slice. But, like I said, the pie itself was perfection. I hope they ditch the cool whip. read more

When my husband and I decided to try Sweet Savannah's it was around 8:15pm and realizing it closes at 9:00, we were worried it would be closed. However, when we got there, the line was out the door. Although there were only two people working, the line moved quickly and they were very friendly to everyone. My husband and I each got the "Sweet Savannah" which is a cupcake with ice cream and topped with whipped cream. I had the key lime cooler cupcake with birthday cake ice cream and my husband had the chocolate cupcake with dulce de leche ice cream. They were both so good! I don't even have a sweet tooth and I loved everything at this place. I stopped here during a seafood/key lime tasting through the Keys adventure with my girlfriends. Their key lime pie was our favorite by far. It was tart but not overly so. And the graham cracker crust was pure perfection. Just to overdo things we also had the key lime bar and the key lime ice cream. All absolutely delicious. The set up is adorable as well. If I lived in the area I'd totally host a tea party there. If you're not near this bakery it's definitely worth the drive. My house is in the upper Keys and I drive down just to have cupcakes from here. The store it's self is adorable and the cupcakes are out of this world delicious and so fresh. They bake daily so you can be assured that whatever you order will always be perfect. Writing this review is making me want to take a drive right now to pick some up. I recommend going with some friends and ordering as many cupcakes as you think you can eat and sharing them so you can all try the different options and flavors that they have. Also, they don't just have cupcakes. They also offer a wide variety of ice creams and you can even pick your own cookies and have a custom ice cream cookie sandwich made to your liking. I ordered a chocolate milkshake (paid $7.49 + tax) and all I got was a huge glass of chocolate milk. It was so disgusting I couldn't even drink it - I hate milk and expect a milkshake to be thick and creamy. Total disappointment! Two sips and in the trash - I knew it was going to make me sick if I drank any more. (btw - it was nowhere close to the milkshake pick posted that looked thick with whipped cream on top - there was no whip and it was pure liquid.) What a waste of time and money! read more
