I've stopped here to pick up lunch literally hundreds of times over the past 30 years or so. Sorrento's is as good now as the first time I went there, probably even better! The sandwiches here are outstanding! The quality of the ingredients is first rate and the prices are very reasonable. There's plenty of salads and soup here to go with the sandwiches also. The stars of the show here for me though are the bakery items. Whether it's the cakes, donuts, or pastries, I've never had anything here I didn't like. Some favorites for me are the Napoleons, Lobster Tail, Linser Tarts, and Black & White cookies. My wife loves the Red Velvet Cupcakes and the Cannolis. The Thanksgiving pies from here are always a huge hit. If you haven't been to Sorrento's Bakery, check it out. I'm planning on stopping here for many more years!

Rich, slightly sweet, and that salted foam on top added a really nice balance without being overpowering. Super comforting drink. But at the bottom watch out, it can settle so better to stir it! I also had the sea salt matcha latte hot. The matcha flavor was smooth and not too bitter, and the salt foam gave it a creamy twist. I like my matcha on the bitter side but still really enjoyable. Had to try the salt bread too. While ok, it wasn't excellent. did not quite hit the same as what you would get in Korea. It is good, just not that level of fluffy melt in your mouth salty buttery perfection.

The man came back to clean up -- and with all of the leftover lox, fruit, bagels, muffins, etc. -- no trays/containers to take that back up to our desks since they had come in baskets + actual bowls, etc. that they had to take back. So we transferred that onto the plastic plates, but they'd be better off bringing extra aluminum trays next time rather than plastic bags. There was a raw bar, taco station, pasta station, sushi station, etc. My favorite items tried were the sliced beef and chicken in a waffle cone. The beef was cooked to a medium rare temperature and extremely flavorful. The chicken in a waffle cone was a great balance of sweet and spicy with a good amount of chicken in the cone. The sushi was decent at best, while the stuffed rigatoni was tasty too. The raw bar was a little underwhelming as I was not a fan of the raw oysters, but I did not try everything so maybe I just had a few poor ones. The first course of the night was the estate signature salad. It contained arugula, baby greens with julienne apples and an aged white wine vinaigrette. It was topped with caramelized walnuts and manchego cheese. It was a well put together salad. All the toppings complimented one another nicely especially the cheese and vinaigrette. For an entrée, I had the chateaubriand. It was roasted in a cabernet sauce and garnished with caramelized scallops. There was also a side of asparagus, carrots, and potatoes. The asparagus was fine, but the carrots were too hard. The potatoes were not too bad either, very creamy and packed with rosemary I believe. They actually asked for a temperature, which was unusual at a wedding. I asked for medium rare, and it came out a touch over, but not too big of a deal. It was a nice sized portion with just enough flavor. I also tried the salmon Oscar, which was topped with lump crabmeat and a cream sauce. The salmon and crabmeat were both too dry unfortunately. There needed to be more seasoning present as well. I also tried the chicken caprese, which was stuffed with mozzarella cheese and pesto served with roasted cherry tomatoes with vodka sauce. This was another solid tasting dish, great layers from the filing in the chicken. Finally, I also tried the spinach and ricotta stuffed eggplant with a tomato-basil sauce. This was another satisfying dish and was not too heavy like I thought it might be. This had great flavor. Will I go back? Yup.
