We came during a night where there was karaoke, music, and a open stage. In addition - it was someones birthday so then it was even louder than maybe any average night. The music and karaoke was so loud it was almost painful especially when people started singing. Im all for some singing, background music etc. but this was way too much. I can't even remember how incredibly long it took for them to get our food. We ordered a few burgers and sides and it was taking an extremely long time. The waitress then made us pay for our food before we even got it because she was "getting off" and wanted to close out our tab. That did not sit well with me, I had never had a server make me pay for my food before it arrived because they wanted to go home and they were off work. The reason why I didn't give 5*s is because there were technical difficulties with the speaker which turned out to be a bad cord in the speaker but the dude didn't know what he was doing. Meh!!! Because I have an expansive palette and incredibly high standards (giggles), I knew that I should have just quieted the FOMO and continued to drive past this bar. I live within a mile of this bar. There is only side street parking as there is a bus stop in front of the bar. The side street parking is mostly unavailable depending on what time you stop here. This corner is usually super busy. It would be best to have a driver to wait in the car if you carryout here. The overall atmosphere of the interior... I could not differentiate the staff from the clientele as it seemed that the patrons and staff were all talking and walking all around the establishment. There was lots of cursing and overall low vibrational conversations going on. Much of which my mature ears could have done without. One woman sat next to me at the bar while I waited, with her chair pushed up against mine, moving me each time she moved. Her conversation was deplorable and loud. I had to get up and move towards the door waiting for my change as Portia took incredibly long to bring. The bar was huge, I would guess it seats at least ten people. There were plenty of tables as well. Speaking of the bar, it wouldn't be my choice to drink here as the bar wasn't fully stocked. The place seemed downright seedy to me. I was thinking that I would only return if the food was super yummy, but after tasting it and comparing the taste to the price I paid, this place is a definite NO for me and anyone else I know who asks me about it. I ordered steak bites (medium), which were more like "steak bits". The meat was overcooked, hard to chew and there were way too many onions. I also ordered lobster mac and cheese and steamed broccoli. The broccoli was good. I wished there were more. The mac and cheese was edible, and would have been fine had I not expected lobster. I couldn't find more than two bites of it. The price I paid for my dinner, $27, was simply not worth what I was served. I don't mind paying top coin for good food, but this meal wasn't worth more than $10-$15. I hate to leave scathing reviews. This place is obviously fine for the customers that frequent it. I checked online for which restaurants had LOBSTER mac and cheese near me and the reviews I found seemed pretty good so I gave it a shot. The young lady that took my order was pleasant and informed me that the price of the dish had increased due to the hike in food prices, which was no problem and I appreciated her making me aware. She tells me it will be 10 mins, and I give them 20 just to be safe. When I arrived I went to the bar and the bartender was speaking with another patron and it appeared that there was something going on regarding tender. So I asked "are you cash only?" She says "yes, did they tell you that on the phone?" I informed her that they had not and that I don't carry cash and that they could cancel my order. No love lost. She asks me to wait a moment and goes to the back. She returns to let me know that theres another 10-15 min wait for my order and pulls out a wireless card processor that connects to the register and can suddenly process my credit card. Magic! I get my order and go home. As Im eating, I notice that the "LOBSTER" has a interesting flavor, texture and shape (see below). Its round and isnt sweet like cooked lobster. I keep finding these round SLICES of "LOBSTER". I take a piece of the "LOBSTER" rinse it of and break it apart with my fingers, and its IMITATION KRAB, which I have not eaten in over 20 years. I have absolutely no problem with paying for the items that I order because I enjoy a quality meal and service. However, if they want to sell SEAFOOD mac and cheese that is what they should advertise. Waitress brought expensive Dusse' shots after we requested whatever was the cheapest. Those came out to $48 for 3. We didn't even want them and still had to pay for them so of course we drank them. Instead of charging the difference in price for sides that aren't included, they charge the entire price which means technically you should get three sides with your meal. Parking There is no parking lot, only street parking.
