This is our third visit here. Every time, the food had been delicious, but the service has been molasses-slow!! We had one hour between appointments, and it took 20 minutes for the server to come to our table. If you come visit here, bring a lot of patience and plan plenty of time. read more

Decided to try out a local restaurant for breakfast. Right off the bat, service was extremely slow. Our waitress did not check on us at all until the very end. Had to ask another waitress for our check twice and finally got it 20 minutes later. Asked for water and didn't get it until we were about to walk out the door. Pancakes were super dry and had a crust-like layer on top. I had a four inch long hair in my over-medium eggs. Had to ask numerous times for condiments (syrup and hot sauce). Mediocre food best, horrible service, and outrageous prices. Will not be returning. read more

First time! Food was good. Service was meh! The waitress was very nice just had a lot of tables and wasn't very attentive. I had to ask for coffee refill after cup being on empty for over half my meal. I will go back. My son loved the strawberry sauce for the biscuits which were at least 4" high. read more

We are out of towners, and like to explore local restaurants. This looked like a cute little cafe. Well, the wait was long to get our order. And it took about 45mins to an hour just to get our food! Pancakes were dry and heavy. I ordered corn beef hash. I think it was more sage sausage and something else. My husband ordered a waffle ...one waffle with nothing on it ----$9!! The waitress did not tell us about the cost of that. $73 dollars later, for only four people, we made it out with lighter wallet and not such a yummy experience. Will not recommend read more

YUCK! There were ants crawling all over our booth. Service was extremely slow. My daughter's orange juice was served in a dirty cup. Items were forgotten and served to us late. I am still in sticker shock. I bought a waffle for me and my granddaughter. I bought a side of bacon for both of us and one side of raspberries. $42.00 and that doesn't include tip. When I asked if it was a mistake, she said 'no'. I told her I was shocked and that Ihop is much cheaper. I should have looked carefully at prices, so it's my fault. She said if I'd ordered as a combo it would have been cheaper. Never again. I can't afford it. We come here every Sunday for the last 12 weeks since we moved here. We have always had great food and service. Today we had some of the worst plate of food. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was all bread and no steak.. when I told the waitress she tried saying oh I haven't ever seen this. I have seen it on the chicken fried chicken but not the steak. I didn't even eat my meal. Except for the biscuit and gravy,eggs. Usually when a customer has that big of an issue with a plate the restaurant will take it off the bill or ask to exchange it out... neither of them were done and it was just like oh okay I'll take the plate. When the waitress went back and told Mike. She said mike this is the 3rd chicken fried steak like this today. So blatantly just lied to us and still didn't do anything about it. Just shrugged it off. Not cool. Especially when someone spends $50 a week in your establishment. Hope this finds the right person. Also, if you are going to give roses make sure you give them to all the ladies and not just select people. This place really put a sour taste in my mouth today. read more

One of the worst restaurant experiences I think i've ever had. The coffee was salty and the water tasted like it was scooped up from the parking lot outside. Once we got our drinks, our waitress disappeared for a good 30 minutes and we had to call her back over to order. She seemed confused by our order even though we ordered things straight off the menu. Food was below average and we literally had to ask for every single item we ordered to be brought because she forgot everything. The chicken and waffles came out with just a waffle and we had to ask for the chicken! We asked for the biscuits we ordered twice and never got them. We asked for a coffee refill and ended up having to grab a different waitress, who only filled 2 of our cups and never came back to fill the others. Every time we asked for anything, it felt like we were annoying her or causing an inconvenience. At the end, we had to get up and go to the front to ask for our check just so we could get out of there. It was also freezing in there and the bathroom was gross and had no paper towels to top things off. Came here for brunch with family. We wanted to try somewhere we haven't yet. With that being said, the outside had us questioning. When we got inside, it seemed okay. We were greeted immediately, and seated quickly. The inside was busy, but full. We were a table of 4, and two of us had coffee. The coffee itself had a taste to it, that was kinda off. When we received our order, we each had a issue with our order. Two had biscuits and gravy, which was served with two biscuits that was dry and the texture was unstifying, and the gravy itself was lumpy with no flavor. The other two had chicken and waffles. The chicken was dry/burnt strips that wasn't to their liking, and the other was French toast with strawberries. The French toast was like cardboard, and had no flavor or was like your typical French toast. They also came with no toppings (powdered sugar etc.) or the strawberries that was ordered with it. The server acted as I never asked for them, but corrected it when I brought it up. The sever was decent, but odd. The overall experience was just, ok. I don't think we would come back, the vibe just wasn't our typical sit down choice. But sometimes you may be surprised, and this place could had been a hidden gem. The food was not very good and not seasoned at all we got the avocado toast and it was super plain and the bread was hard and the dr pepper was bad and the milk was spoiled the only good thing was the patty melt and then we got biscuits and gravy and french toast and none of that was good. The service was horrible we got put in a back corner and no one checked on us the whole time it took our food 45 min to be brought out after we had asked about it. Also the waiter was very snooby and rude and when we asked her to bring us something she could only bring one thing at a time then would get mad when we asked her to bring the other thing out. Food was good. First time in, had the Ultimate Skillet. Co worker had the Mexican skillet. Both had pancakes. The pa cakes were bigger than expected and were good. Real maple syrup would make it better, but beggars can't choosers. Skillet was real nice, expects the eggs to be part of the skillet and not cooked and placed on top, was still good tho. read more

This is definitely a Mom and Pop type place. Don't go here looking for healthy fare! We had taco salad, Philadelphia Cheese Steak, Chicken Noodle Soup, French Fries, and apple pie. The soup was tasty, but the noodles were overcooked. The steak sandwich was good, especially the homemade bread, but definitely not a Philadelphia cheese steak! The french fries were the best part of the meal - home cooked with skins! The taco salad was too plain. No beans or onions. Just burger meat, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and olives. So, I'm glad I stopped. It was fun to do once, but I've definitely had better. I think the breakfast might be a better choice. read more

I was a regular prior to my graduation from Austin College a couple of years ago and subsequent move and all of my visits were nothing short of pleasant. The staff is extremely approachable and friendly and I got to know the owner and one of the servers in particular very well during my frequent visits. The atmosphere was always nice, no matter which time of day I stopped by. I often stayed for hours to study, when I had downtime between my classes, and they kept me well-supplied with fresh, delicious coffee and/or sweet tea that helped me get through long days! I've tried a large variety of their menu and everything I ever ordered came out nice and warm (or cold, if it was supposed to be). Their menu may have changed since my last visit, but I ordered several different varieties of sweet crepes and pancakes from them, as well as the chicken caesar wrap. The pancakes and crepes were always delicious and generously topped, and the chicken caesar wrap was still the best I've been able to find anywhere! It's filling but not heavy, and the portion size is generous. Not to mention, the fries are so fresh and delicious. I also used to order their California fruit plate, which was a nice, large serving of fresh fruit and cottage cheese and never failed to disappoint. Lastly, Sweetberries is also one of the few places that understand the meaning of "super, extra crispy bacon." It always came out right whenever I ordered it. There was sometimes a fairly long wait, but I got in the habit of telling my waitress when I was a rush and they were always extremely respectful of the fact that I needed to be in and out quicker than usual and I got my food and check very promptly. Even during the long waits, the waitresses were always extremely attentive to my drinks and checked in often. Sweetberries is one of my favorite places in Sherman and I have a lot of fond memories having brunch there with college friends, family, and even out of town friends I insisted try it out. I hope to return sometime in the near future and say hello to everyone again! read more

First time here, beautiful place. I tried the Mexican skillet, which was your choice of two eggs, seasoned ground beef, onions, bell pepper, home fries and cheese. With your choice of toast or pancakes. I chose pancakes which were delicious. Very big portion size. Ground beef was seasoned great, but the home fries and veggies weren't. Coffee was excellent. Wow, what a fantastic breakfast. We didn't get here till noon but they serve breakfast all day and they have a huge breakfast menu with everything you could possibly want. We did omelettes and they were five star! Great service and they just opened their new outdoor patio which stays out of the sun till about 1 every day. You've got it try this place it's all home cooked food, even the preserves are homemade! This will be our new go to weekend breakfast spot read more

While there's no definitive way to know. And i do not say this lightly. I think i got sick from eating here. And i know that because that's the only thing i ate there everyone else did not eat. That saying,"Jack of all trades, master of none" has never been so true until I ate at this place. Firstly, the prices seem decent before you get the food. Then you think to yourself how you can legitimately get the same identical frozen food from Wal-Mart. "Stuffed peppers" more like cheesy rocks. How do you mess up a food that all you do is oven it. I paid $7 for a frozen food from Wal-Mart that isn't even $5. Mashed potatoes? They're from boxes. Our servers SAT down 2 tables away ( didnt fill our drinks ) ate, gossiped about other tables, dropped some silverware while rolling THEN PICKED IT UP AND ROLLED IT INFRONT OF US. disgusting. After we left we even saw our waitress eating our leftovers. This restaurant is disgusting, over priced, and altogether a huge fail. read more

I have visited three times to be thoroughly disappointed each time. This last time was especially ridiculous, upon arrival we were greeted by a fresh faced lady who sat us immediately. Our server came in and out of the dinning room about three times before greeting us and getting our drink orders, she brought our drinks out with another tables and forgot our soda. The sirloin was so chewy it was spit out onto the plate. Our drink were only refiled once despite my efforts trying to get our servers attention. I got a cheesecake togo and it had these hard solidified pinkish/ red rectangles maybe ? I went ahead and tried it and it was not okay, the cheesecake was very dry, and old. We came here on the 4th of July for breakfast and they were way understaffed. It took an hour, not exaggerating, to get our breakfast. By the time it arrived it was five minutes to 11:00 and to top it off, all of our pancakes were cold. Like butter wouldn't even melt on them cold. Our waitress was sweet and apologetic telling us they only had one cook and it was the owner. I told her the owner must realize an hour wait for your breakfast food is completely unacceptable right? This was once my favorite place to eat. I came every Sunday for their breakfast skillets. Their potatoes have gotten smaller recently which isnt a problem except they are always cold, hard and clearly not fresh. This last visit (today) I sent my plate back for the first time because the potatoes were shriveled up. They made me a fresh plate but it obviously was the same potatoes just cooked even longer! They were even more crunchy, they may as well put croutons on it. Its insulting that they sent the exact same potatoes out. It was disgusting. This will be my last visit. read more

Well I was kinda disappointed with my food. I was supposed to get four turkey bacons with my order and I got 2 1/2 plus they were burnt. Also the hashbrowns were over cooked on the outside but really gooey on the inside. My eggs were not cooked correctly either. I wouldn't recommend this place. Was not my favorite.
